My friend and I went for brunch on Saturday. This was my first time going to this location. The service was prompt, and our server was very friendly and attentive. The inside was cozy with booths and they also had a big outdoor seating area. The food was average in my opinion. Their menu is huge and can be overwhelming trying to pick one thing. We ended up ordering from the brunch menu. I got the breakfast burrito and she ordered the French toast. She wasn't a fan of her French toast. She mentioned it was too dry. My burrito was huge. We decided to order a couple desserts for take out. I was expecting Linda's Fudge Cake to taste amazing because of all the hype I've heard about this recipe. It was on the dry side and nothing really stood out that made it taste extraordinary. We've had the Warm Apple crisp with ice cream before and it's one of our favorite desserts there. It was delicious as always but it seems that the portion sizes with the "to-go" orders is way smaller than what they serve at the table. Especially the crumble topping. There was hardly any added on top. Customer service was mediocre. Kevin P. (name on the receipt) took my order and also prepared everything. I was planning on leaving a cash tip towards the end and decided not to because he barely made eye contact and seemed so disinterested in helping me. Basically just handed me my bag of desserts. Had lunch for the first time in 20 years. Let just say our server was wonderful. Jennifer H tried to correct everything that made lunch disappointing. My daughter ordered the chicken soup and beet salad. The soup had a vegetable groceries label in her soup. They took off the charge and needless to say she stop eating it immediately. Then I asked for a side of feta cheese and I would pay for it. The chef decided not to give it to us. I think the Chef on these two problems is responsible. We happened to be at the fabulous Topanga mall this weekend, for shopping, etc., so, I thought it was a perfect time to try my sixth or seventh Cheesecake Factory, and so we did. I especially love this one. It was large, clean, airy, and bathed in soft pink light that made us all look ten years younger (yay! this is where I should take all my selfies, LOL). The place was packed, as was the mall, and even though we were one hour early for our reservation, they kindly found us a great booth within minutes. Our server was the ever-smiling Jackie and she was wonderful the whole time. (And, she did the boxing of our leftovers, always love that!) I know most everyone reading this review is likely quite familiar with Cheesecake Factory and here's why: it rarely disappoints. How's that? Well, the ginormous menu, the astonishing portion sizes, the routinely delicious (I know, I know, "fat-salt-sugar") dishes and the genuinely comforting vibes in the place. Whatever that playlist was, it was happy and heavenly in a hip sort of way. There were a few of us so we over-ordered, of course, and saved room for the incredible eponymous cakes. Love! It was a busy Saturday night on Mother's Day weekend at Westfield Topanga! The husband planned on dinner at CF before our movie, but the wait was too long. We decided to order to-go instead and take it down to The Social. Our food was ready at the time promised. The team members at the bakery were friendly and helpful. They made sure our order was complete and didn't hesitate to give us ice water in to-go cups. Everything was packed very well. My Korean Fried chicken was nicely fried on the outside, perfectly moist on the inside and had just the right amount of heat. The veggies, kimchi and brown rice provided different levels of texture and flavors. The husband thoroughly enjoyed his French Dip Cheeseburger. Based on past experiences we knew to order it rare. The carryover cook gets it to his preferred temp of medium rare. The complimentary bread was fresh and always so good with butter. The Social was so much calmer and far less crowded. Recently I got the JW pinks lemonade. It was nostalgic (one of the first alcoholic drinks I got back in 2001, at the old Canoga location.). Tasty for a vodka cocktail, sugar covered rim. Ordered several dishes such as Herb crusted Salmon, Fried zucchini, Thai lettuce wraps and many others. Read on for more details :) Location 3 stars: Chain restaurant on the West end of the Topanga Mall, off of the Topanga Canyon Blvd. You can enter from inside the mall and from outside (the parking lot side). It is located literally next to the North Italia Restaurant. Free self-parking is available but can be difficult on weekends due to the mall traffic and the nearby movie theater crowd. Be prepared to walk a bit. Venue 4 stars: Nicely appointed larger restaurant with modern décor; similar to other Cheesecake Factory locations. Outdoor seating and inside tables and booths. They also have a bar area that has some tables and chairs. They do take reservations on their website, which I recommend doing because it does get quite busy on weekends. Service 3.5 stars: Server dependent... We have had good and very bad, but never very good :( Billing 0 stars: I was disappointed that on the check they recommend the tip amount based on the total after tax, which is not correct. Tipping is customarily calculated based on the total before tax. Some restaurants have been trying to do this recently which I find misleading and I will be calling them out on it. Buffalo Blasts full order is $11.50. Beet salad $10.95. Specialty Cocktails are $9.50. Basically I like to pick things I don't make for myself at home. During this visit our wait time for our party of 7 was between 10 to 15 minutes. Ordered one of our many favorites from the Cheesecake Factory menu. Always plenty of options and a variety selection of food items on their menu. Our lunch consisted of 2 orders of Fried Calamari as appetizers, Eggs with Steak, Chopped Salad, Lemon Garlic Shrimp, 2 orders of Crispy Pineapple Chicken, Breakfast Sandwich, Chicken Parmesan Pizza Style and LC IPA. I'm a pretty big fan of Cheesecake Factory, so any chance I get to visit one, I'm usually pretty pumped to get my usual chicken fettuccine and sun dried tomatoes! First off, let's talk about how every Cheesecake Factory looks great and is always very clean and elegant looking. I don't think I've been to one yet that doesn't look like you're in Caesars Palace. The hosts are always very friendly and the service is usually good. However, this Cheesecake Factory was solid with everything except or waiter was a little too short with us. He was a little too quick to run off and grab us what we wanted before we could finish saying everything we wanted which made extra trips for him. My wife actually told him that he was a little too quick and should relax and let her finish saying what she wanted before he ran off. He understood and was cool about it (we actually gave him a very nice tip). Anyway, I've had everything from breakfast items, to gumbo, to the skinnylicious menu but some of the food options we had that night were the kids pasta and chicken strips and fries. My wife got the bbq bacon burger, which was amazing! And I ordered the lemon and garlic shrimp with fettuccine. Overall, everything was delicious and I'm a fan of this Cheesecake Factory located in the mall. I'm surprised by the low ratings here, as I had a positive dining experience. I came for lunch with 3 others on Sunday around noon and was seated within 10 minutes. There were more people waiting at the front when we left around 1:30, so I recommend coming early to avoid waits. I haven't been to a Cheesecake Factory in 12-13 years, but it's the same as what I remember. Nice ambiance, huge menu selection, and massive portions. We all took some time to decide what we wanted as there were so many pages on the menu to look through. Ultimately I went with the shepherd's pie ($25.95), and I'm so glad I did as the gravy tasted amazing. Everyone at the table agreed that my dish was the best. The other folks got a cajun salmon lunch plate (okay but bland) for $22.50, the chicken schwarma (also okay but not much chicken is in the wrap) for $19.95, and their fried chicken sandwich with fries for $21.50. Let me start with saying that the staff here is top notch. My friends and I had an amazing lunch - highly recommend the salmon. I also had tea- they brought me the box to choose from and all the hot water I needed. There is a nice vibe to this place. I've been to several others but this was really nice at lunch time. A couple hours after we left, I realized I did not have my car keys. My friends rushed back with me and the staff and manager looked for them for over 15 minutes. They went above and beyond. Came here on probably one of the wildest days to go to a mall and honestly had a pretty great time. Hadn't been to a Cheesecake Factory for years and had pretty low expectations but we were all very satisfied with the food and service. One thing that's changed here for the better is that you're now able to make a reservation online which is really a game changer for trying to make a movie or not be stuck around waiting for a table on a crazy day. The ambience hasn't likely changed in forever and still feels like a dimly lit Las Vegas buffet but that's kinda the charm. The service was decent and friendly, though short, which given the dinner rush was certainly understandable, though I would've preferred not to feel like each interaction was in passing. The food was actually spot on for what we were hoping for, the portion sizes are as laughably large as I remember, and the food was well prepared and came out pretty quickly, though the jambalaya took a few minutes extra. The cocktails we ordered were tasty and helped ease us through a large family holiday dinner with grace. I ordered the Chicken Katsu bowl which was exactly what I was hoping for - light rice bowl, tastefully seasoned and sauced, with a lightly breaded katsu crunch, in a very respectable portion. How do you even send this out? I ordered the Cajun salmon. This isn't blackened, it's burnt. Not to mention everything was covered in oil. I've order this meal several times before and I've never seen it look or taste like this. I called the restaurant to ask for a replacement meal. I spoke to Mathew the manager. I asked for the chef to remake my order and I would be on my way back which was a 20 minute drive. Mathew told me that wasn't possible, he would need to see my meal before it could be remade. Very unapologetic. I show up to the restaurant with my Meta glasses and immediately his demeanor changed from his attitude on the phone. He took my burnt salmon to the chef to have it remade. Absolutely HORRIBLE experience -- DO NOT COME HERE! From the moment we arrived, the service was a complete disaster. When we checked in, the host told us our table was almost ready and asked us to hang tight because they would call us within 5 minutes. Five minutes turned into 10, then 15, then 25 minutes, and nobody ever came to get us. We eventually had to go back and ask about our table, only to find out that our ticket had been moved behind some books and they had completely forgotten about us. How does that even happen? Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. Once we were finally seated and ordered, we waited AN ENTIRE HOUR for our food. What made it even more frustrating was watching table after table that arrived well after us get their food, eat, and even leave before we had received ours. We repeatedly waited and waited, with barely any communication from our server. And after waiting an hour, you would think the food would at least be correct and hot. It wasn't. My food came out incorrect AND cold. When we brought this to the manager's attention, instead of offering to remake my meal, the manager seriously offered to "microwave and replate" it. I have never had a manager suggest something so unprofessional in a restaurant. Aside from the fact that I shouldn't have to wait an hour for food only to have it microwaved, reheating and replating food that has already been served raises obvious concerns about proper food handling and cross-contamination. At the very least, I expected them to offer to remake the meal fresh. They didn't. The manager then told us he would "take care of us", but after saying that, he disappeared and never came back to check on our table. No follow-up. No apology. No update. Nothing. Our server was barely present as well. We actually had to walk over to another server at the kiosk just to ask for straws because our own server wasn't checking on us. Eventually, when my food was brought back out after they supposedly fixed it, IT WAS STILL COLD. At that point, the entire experience had become ridiculous. This wasn't just one small mistake. It was one problem after another -- forgetting about our table, an hour-long wait for food, watching other customers who arrived after us get served first, incorrect food, cold food, an inappropriate suggestion to microwave and replate my meal, poor communication, a server who barely checked on us, and a manager who promised to "take care of us" and then completely disappeared. We came here expecting to enjoy a meal and instead spent our time waiting, chasing people down, and trying to get basic service. The lack of organization and customer service was unbelievable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. There are plenty of other restaurants where you can get better food and, more importantly, basic customer service. Then the chicken and biscuits for appetizer. I loved the subtle heat from the hot honey butter. Mixed with the biscuit and sausage gravy, it was a perfect blend for me. Let's just start with, I do like Cheesecake Factory but this location truly missed the mark. We arrived at approximately 1120 hours, the restaurant was not busy, lots of empty tables. Our server greeted us right away and took our drink and appetizer order. The complimentary bread basket was lacking; their signature brown bread was not warm and the sourdough bread was very hard. Our appetizer was beyond disappointing and would never order it again nor would I ever recommend it. The price point is ridiculous for three small baguette slices with some greasy melted Brie. The menu described it as, "The Cheesecake Factory's Baked Brie with Truffle-Honey Butter is a popular appetizer (approx. $8.50). It features creamy brie cheese, baked directly into or served with warm, toasted bread, topped with a savory-sweet mix of truffle-honey butter and orange marmalade." I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad. It had chicken breast, rice noodles (not crispy..should have been crispy), lettuce, green onions, almonds, crispy wontons, bean sprouts, mandarin oranges and sesame seeds with a special Chinese plum dressing (I ordered it on the side). The salad was great and prepared as ordered. I however found the dressing to be a bit salty and glad I ordered it on the side. It is with deep disappointment I am leaving this low starred review. Hopefully Jennifer Deyta, General Manager will see this review and contact me directly. I understand there are cookie cutter corporate policies. What I don't understand is why Brian(refused to give a last name) an onsite manager is not given respect to make a professional decision based on circumstances/situations as they occur at his location. Instead he stands firm with no, no, no I can't accommodate your party despite having a reservation as corporate doesn't allow me to think out of the box. During these difficult economic times I guess the corporate administration is comfortable with losing return business. On another note:DO NOT ORDER the Happy Hour Meatball Sliders as the two small/tiny sliders are ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH $7.50 plus $0.73 tax and the 18%-22% suggested Gratuity. The Cheesecake Factory really missed the boat on August 31, 2026. I gave two stars since the place was clean. read more

Cheesecake Factory inside the Topanga Mall. Great place to go before or after a movie. The service is great. If you tell them you're seeing a movie they provide quick service. The hot fudge sundae was delicious and tasty. Truly satisfying! Recommend making reservations they will get you dotted right away. Give this place a try. You will love it! Very busy restaurant. It's slightly loud but you can still have a conversation. read more

Went on Friday for dinner to go. They were jammed pack. But when I say Carlos went above and beyond to get my order right and to me quick, I mean it! Not to mention I changed and item and he went to the back and made sure they did it right. Love this! Kaylee helped me as well. This was a well oiled machine on a Friday rush hour dinner. I met the managers as well. I wanted to tell them how well their staff did. Matthew and Howie were super nice as well. Great customer service. My aunt and I stopped here for a small lunch and we had a great experience with our server, Dar. He brought out fresh white and brown bread for us and was super helpful and guided our ordering process. We got the poke nachos and miso salmon, both delicious. Nachos could use more tuna tho. We came during lunch specials time, so we got decent prices too. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at Cheesecake Factory. Came on a weekday evening and the restaurant wasn't busy at all our server only had about three tables yet the service was extremely poor. It took forever to get basic things like sugar and bread, and the server seemed completely disorganized, walking around like he had no idea what he was doing. Every-time he walked by we just get ignored. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good either, which made the whole experience even more frustrating considering the bill came out to about $80. It felt like a huge waste of time and money. What's also disappointing is that the service seems to get worse every time we come. On top of that, no one even greets you when you walk in, which already sets a bad tone for the experience. Definitely not the level of service you'd expect from a place like this. This place has been my favorite restaurant for decades! And it still is! Food is great. Consistently good, and I mean pretty much every entree I've tried is good. Great portion size. Cheesecake is in a league of its own, mainly because again, every flavor I've tried is good, some better than others. I personally, love the coffee. It goes heat with the cheesecake. Even tge bread and butter at the beginning of the meal is good! The service is great. No grouchy people. People know their menu, know ingredients, as though they own it all. And of course, it has a cool ambience. Colors are dark with cool lighting that I love. It's just all top notch. What can I say? My favorite dish is the chicken piccata. Luxurious flavors in that dish, chicken made just right with a white sauce with white wine, lemon and capers oh and mushrooms. And the angel hair is the perfect pasta to pair it with in my opinion. I've had favorite cheesecake flavors in the past that have been discontinued. Wow. I never thought my faves would be so unpopular! Bummer. But I still get the cheesecake. The variety of flavors to choose from make it all almost a game - like "which flavor should I try this time." Same goes with the entrees. Tons to choose from! And as I mentioned, they hire right. The people who work there are nice, patient and know their stuff. Keep it up, Cheesecake Factory Owners. You're doing something right. That place was packed when I got there at 6pm tonight. The popularity of this restaurant has not changed in the many years that I've gone there. Still my favorite restaurant!! read more

Cheesecake Factory has always been our go to for lunch as they have great lunch specials that's just right for our budget and comes in huge portions. Parking here however is horrendous! We love their fish and chips, burgers, pasta and my fave, their shrimp scampi. Service is good depends in the time of day and they give you that basket of soft bread, yummmmmm sooo good especially the brown one, I forgot what's it called, pumpernickel? My mom enjoyed her burger as you can tell from her picture and my dad didn't wanna share his fish and chips lol and his cheesecake. My girlfriends and I also come here for a quick get together. read more
