I've been here twice in the last month, and I'm not sure why this location has this average score. Maybe it's because I've sat at the bar, and the gentlemen there are stellar. I've gone after work one day, and another time was on a day off after a movie. I've probably only been to this chain up north in LA County a handful of times for graduations. I only took one picture from one visit, and I had the chicken Parmesan (Pizza Style), and that was a really tasty dish. I only tried this because there's been a trend on instagram of people trying it. I'm glad I followed the suggestions! The bar area is super chill, and I was watching a World Cup match while hanging out to wait for my food to come out. My parents don't typically dine at chain restaurants, but had a TCF gift card so we decided to have dinner here as a party of 4 on a weeknight around 6pm. Checked in with the hostess, gave her my name and phone number to text when the table was ready. We waited for less than 5 min before I got the text. Sat at a cozy booth. I didn't catch our server's name but she was really friendly and attentive. We ordered: Calamari - lightly battered and crispy Chicken Madeira - popular for a reason. Tasty! Steak Diane - enjoyed this Fish & Chips - subbed fries for sweet potato fries. Happy hour is pretty popular here! Our server Jackie told us that the Happy Hour menu got more popular because of recent TikTok. Didn't know it until we came and saw a lot of people dining, yet we were still seated right away :) This has been my local Cheesecake Factory for years. It's one of the few staples at Otay Ranch Town Center that has been around basically since the start. Service was great. We didn't wait long to order, were explained the different aspects of the menu (especially for Happy Hour), and were constantly checked on by our servers. Let me just say it's been a while since I've been here but portions are huge! My wife and I got the Buffalo Blasts, Korean Cauliflower, HH burger (me), and Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta (not pictured). Everything was delicious. Couldn't finish it all because the portions were so big but those Buffalo Blasts were great as leftovers after a little air-refrying. I know cheesecakes here are notorious for their high calories but a whole two pages of scrumptious sounding flavors, so I'll have to be back again just to try a slice (but one flavor at a time lol). read more

The go to for lunch/dinner when I'm in the Eastlake area. What I like about this location is that, even when they're busy, it's still not a 2 hour wait. They get you in pretty quickly. Came in for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised that the lunch menu goes till 5pm. I happened to come in at 4:30p so it was the perfect portion size. We had the miso salmon and the chicken Madeira. The sauce for the chicken is so good! Always ask for an extra. Both were delicious. My lunch portion for the miso salmon was the perfect size. And for dessert we had the lemon raspberry cheesecake. Also delicious. The wait staff were of course extremely busy but efficient. Been here quite few times. Most of the time, the grp ends up taking food we ordered to go, just bec it takes soooo long to to get to the table. But not this time . Dori D our server was awesome. There were 7 of us ( still celebrating Christmas) and Dori was pretty attentive to our needs. Refilling of the drinks was fast. Also, the whole group enjoyed their individual orders. First time to order the branzino here and it did not disappoint me. Prepared perfectly the way I like it. The place always gets full and busy. It was nice when they lowered the blinds to dim down the lighting inside. It gave it a warm feeling since the place is pretty big. This time, they offered to take our grp pic which was nice. We try giving it a chance every 6 months to this place but can't really give it more than 3 stars. This time we invited our 19 yr old dayghter and two of her friends. It was a Monday evening at 7:30pm, pretty slow night. We were seated pretty fast but it took so long for a waiter to acknowledge us. We had to look and ask someone who was our waiter. She finally showed up. Took our order, we ordered everything drinks and food at the same time because they are pretty slow. Ambiance is ok as any Cheesecake Factory. Drinks came in waves, we had to check on a milkshake a few times. Bread took a while to get to our table, but it was good as always. Dishes came almost all at the same time which we did like. Quality of food, well portions are big, quality is ok as expected but nothing out of the ordinary. I guess you go here for the quantity not quality really. We got our food to-go through Door Dash so I can't speak to the ambiance, service or cleanliness of the store FOOD Avocado Egg Rolls - rating 2/5 - normally we devour these appetizers but out of the 3 egg rolls, only 1 of them had avocados that weren't brown. They didn't taste fresh either and sadly, we didn't finish them. Pumpernickel/Sour Dough bread- rating 5/5- always smacking. I could eat both breads daily Steak Diane - rating 4/5 - my husband said it was good but there could have been more meat in the dish. Ricotta Cheese Toast- rating 3/5- I appreciate that they're trying new dishes with combinations of flavors that should be good together. It said Orange honey and Toasted Sesame seeds were on it but I couldn't taste much honey so we added our own and even still after that, it felt underwhelming. Vegan Cobb Salad- rating 5/5- this was the real star of the show. It's a HEAVY ass salad either practically perfect vegetables. I had them mix the dressing in and it was fresh tasting. Food has been going down for a few years now and I still gave them another chance. Subpar. Service was friendly but very very slow. We couldn't find our waitress to ask about the food. Finally we had to flag her down pretty much, then the food came out piping hot 5 minutes later. Which means it took only 5 minutes to make a meal. Oh. And this was 2:30pm on a Wed. I only got pics of food from our table farfelke pasta with garlic and chicken, chicken wrap, bang bang chicken with shrimp and chicken, Korean fried chicken plate, chicken salad with avocado. The service was horrible. Our server got our appetizer wrong. So we ended up eating our entrees since nobody checked on us after the appetizer came. One of the pastas we had came out dry with very little sauce. We never got checked on for refills or to see how the food was. VERY disappointing experience my family and I had at the Cheesecake Factory location in Chula Vista. Unfortunately, both the service and the food were far below expectations. Our waitress was extremely RUDE and argumentative during our dinner. Instead of resolving concerns professionally, she continued to argue with my family while we were eating. The situation became uncomfortable, and other customers around us were staring due to the disruption. We asked to speak with the manager in hopes of resolving the issue calmly. However, the manager's response was also unprofessional and dismissive. At one point, when handing back our receipt, she threw it onto the table, which felt very disrespectful. Additionally, the quality of the food was not acceptable. We ordered a steak medium rare, but it arrived extremely rare, essentially raw on the inside with only a burn on the outside. Overall, the entire experience made what was supposed to be a family dinner very unpleasant. I chose The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my friend's birthday because of the menu variety and cheesecake selection. Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. The restaurant wasn't busy, yet our server kept stopping by every five minutes saying, "You're not ready? Take your time," which ironically made us feel rushed and pressured to order. After the fourth interruption, we just placed our order so we could enjoy our time catching up. When the food arrived, my friend was given the entrée-sized lettuce wraps instead of the small appetizer she ordered. The server acknowledged it was rung in incorrectly but took the entire plate back to "redo" it instead of simply adjusting the price. She then waited another 10 minutes, and what came back looked like the same plate with some chicken removed. It felt unnecessary and inconsiderate to make her wait when the food had already been prepared. We also had to repeatedly ask for water refills, drink refills, and plate removal. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, which was extremely salty and inedible. When I mentioned it, I was offered another soup -- after I had already finished my sandwich. For an $80 lunch with plenty of staff on the floor, the level of service was disappointing. We still tipped 18%, but the experience felt closer to 10% service. I have a love-hate relationship with Cheesecake Factory. I love the food but hate the price! The best thing I ordered here lately is the Miso Salmon. Plenty of tasty fish with a delicious miso sauce, along with snappy snow peas. Great flavors in this dish. Get this. The restaurant is customary CF decor, meaning, they all look the same. Save room for cheesecake by eating only half your meal, and saving the rest for leftovers. Small stomach syndrome solved. Two meals will set you back about $50, but no worries, you've got an extra meal saved for later, so it works out well in the end. CF has such an extensive menu but not all dishes are done with excellence. They would be better off shaving that menu down because frankly, some dishes are really not great. Customer service at this particular location is above par, but the wait to be seated is still long. Take a number, sit at the bar and have an adult beverage to help the time pass. I've been coming to this cheese cake factory since I was a little girl I always loved coming here the service never disappointed ! Let's start with the food. It's been awhile since i've been at C.F. & i was craving for fettuccine chicken Alfredo. Food came out and it just didn't taste right. The pasta wasn't cooked right. The were strands of fettuccine stuck together and it was not al dente--pasta's texture was chewy, not soft. The sauce tasted a little bitter and not as creamy and savory. We got here right as the sunset so it was kind of fun to experience the lights being turned down. This is a busy busy location! But our server and host did a great job and they were so friendly. The food was good! We got a Cheesecake Factory classic to start, the avocado egg rolls, they hit every time. We also got the pasta da Vinci which comes with chicken, mushrooms, and a creamy Madeira sauce, another hit I get it almost every time I come. The margherita flatbread was probably my least favorite of the night, serviceable but nothing spectacular. And to finish we got the Carmelicious Snickers slice and a Cookie Dough slice of cheesecake. Not sure what the bad reviews are all about but I can vouch for the chicken Bellagio. Very tasty and of course the bread always hits especially when it's warm.
