I do love the cheesecake factory, always and forever. Tuna tatake salad is always my go-to with a dirty martini with blue olives. This particular CCF is in the mall so it can be a little crazy but the wait staff is always doing their best to get you in and keep you happy. Only three stars because the service was very slow. The table wasn't set; no silverware or small plates for bread/appetizers...had to ask for them. Then ordered our meals/drinks and took about 40 mins to get our food. Ordered the skinnylicious chicken pot pie. It was okay, kind of reminded me of a TV dinner. Diced potatoes and carrots, few pieces of chicken and peas. We came for my friends birthday and got her the birthday sundae; which was just a pile of whipped cream and maybe a tablespoon of ice cream. Where to begin with this lovely place .... Their menus are amazingly diverse with everything from a salad to a piece of cake. The only thing i would like everyone to know is if you come here, come HUNGRY! The sizes of their proportions are enough for you to share with someone and STILL not finish it all the way! I went here for my birthday dinner and the food was mediocre. Waitress was really nice and suggested good food. When the food came, it was well cooked and had big proportions. My family and I decided to give the Cheesecake Factory a try after so many people we knew raved about it. The atmosphere has a luxury "cafeteria hall" experience. Once seated we looked at the menu. Although they had many selections, the food was like food you could get a Chillis/Ruby Tuesdays but over priced. I ordered a Cheesecake Factory chicken burrito. The presentation was nice but once I cut into and open the burrito, it was 4 julian sliced chicken "pieces" of chicken with alot of rice and corn filling the burrito. Not what I expected for $16.99. My husband order the chicken. And shrimp gumbo. We asked how the portion sizes was and the waiter said it was "big". When the plate came it was a small cereal bowl size with a scoop of brown rice in the middle. He was also disappointed especially paying $18.99. Came in from NH visiting the area. Waited over an hour for a reservation slot. We arrived, sat. Our waitress seemed very pushy to get us to order things. We ordered our drinks. They tasted alright, nothing special. About 10 minutes of deciding later, we order our food, no suggestions from our waitress. The wait for our food was about 30 mins. My girlfriend got Parmesan chicken (was sautéed chicken), and I got orange chicken w/ rice. My rice was literally just sticky and dry. It was extremely bland rice, it needed salt SO badly. Worst experience ever! I visited this Cheesecake factory with my family, on a week night last week. First, the server was not attentive and seemed disinterested in serving us. Some of our utensils and bread plates had dried food on them. Then, when we asked for hot water to at least feel better about the rest of them, the server seemed to not care what was wrong. Then, my cajun jambalaya was an oily mess. It was the worst ever, and I ALWAYS order the cajun jambalaya. When I told the server that I didn't want it, she took the plate away without even asking "why" or "if she could get me anything else". Finally, as we were leaving, I stood at the hostess stand watching the hostess and 3 other employees engage in a spirited, and obviously personal, conversation. After about 5 minutes, the hostess comes over and asks me if I would like a table for 2. I said no, I'd like a manager. She gave me a generic, restaurant business card, with no name or anything else. Came here last night with my girlfriend for the first time ever after only hearing about this place from the comfort of my home browsing thru commercials. The place in general is a bit difficult to be seated and when you finally are, The seating is rather on the tight side.. Lacks room for private conversing.. The service was okay.. And the food was fine.. The prices were a bit on the high side.. But, you should know that coming here.. Can one say they really went to the Cheesecake Factory if they left without ordering a cheesecake? I think not. After much indecision my girlfriend and I both concluded on the carrot cake cheesecake.. Very delicious.. It barely tasted like a cheesecakes.. Melted in your mouth.. My family and I kept adding salt to add some flavor to the food and the salt shaker didn't even work properly! Just had lunch with a cousin of mine. After having the waiter take our order, he sent instructions to the kitchen about our order. The waitstaff bought out our order and it was wrong. One may consider Cheesecake Factory a gem for delicious quick and reasonable chain restaurant Food, and it is. My first Cheesecake Factory experience was in Houston, Texas - and I fell in love. Never before had I enjoyed chain restaurant food, or selection. When this Cheesecake Factory started hiring I considered putting my name in. But disaster struck when I was visiting the Cheesecake factory with 6 of my friends. We sat there, and a cockroach was crawling across the bench seating. I informed the waitress of the roach, she said she would send the manager over, the waitress came back minutes later and the manager had not. Even our waitress was showing frustration with the manager not coming by. When he did, he tried to offer us a free dessert. I'm not sure if that is just instinct for dealing with issues, but I do not want to eat more food at a place I just saw a insect capable of mechanically transmitting disease organisms such as the bacteria which cause food poisoning. As disgusting as that is, I feel the bigger issue is I posted a status on Facebook of simply "Guess who's never going back to the Cheesecake Factory" and multiple friends commented of their experience with cockroaches at this same Cheesecake Factory. We were really excited about the great food and great cheesecake! Unfortunately, we were completely let down by the service and the food. Starting off with the service, the table was still covered in crumbs and dried soda from the last group that was there. Our wonderful waiter was nowhere to be found most of the night. He refilled our water and took our order, that really it. Other waiters were helping out and bringing us our food. Instead, We kept seeing him flirting with other waiters and ever seeing him grabbing their buns a few times. The food now was another experience, we both got burgers cheese filled burgers because they sounded good. After taking the first bite, it was a bit of a letdown. They were really bland and boring. We could have gotten the same thing cheaper from the dinner down the road. I guess I could summarize this quickly. The tap beer selection was small. The appetizer selections were numerous and varied and quite good. The entrees were poorly-executed. The desserts were very large. Portions tend to be good values overall. The service was phenomenal. In detail: the steak was burned on the outside. Medium-well is not an excuse to add charcoal to the steak. The fish tacos had no flavor; various alternative sauces and apologies were administered to no success. The quintessential picky-child "pasta with garlic butter and Parmesan" option tasted off, due to the cheese (too smoky). The Tots were tasty; the Cuban sandwich appetizer was terrific and well-worth a second try. The battered Buffalo chicken was good, interesting in its execution. The Ahi Carpaccio was a good try but the soy and guacamole didn't cut it for me. The brownie sundae was too large by half, and so much whipped cream to avoid. Overly rich. Just not for me and my male endocrine system. The apple crisp was a much better choice but too big for my son. On reflection it would serve our family of four. I expected more tap choices for beer; in fact, I expected many craft beers but I guess that's not what CF is all about. I didn't go wrong with a Sam Adams Seasonal -- no one ever has. The water flowed freely and service was very attentive, polite, apologetic of our concerns and lent the third star to the review. In all, this reminded me of a diner with a grander vision than it could properly execute. The service was outstanding, literally standing apart from many other dining experiences in the last year. Okay there's a snow storm so that explains why it's so empty on a Friday night. Lately when we come we go straight to the bar area to eat because the service is superb. It gets really crowded on Friday nights especially around 8 pm(prime time).There are two bartenders Manny and I forget the other bartenders name, they are always right on target with your orders. They know what's good and what's bad on the menu and nine times out of ten they are correct. I can hang out here almost every Friday(guilty as charged), we actually do come here every Friday. Food is fresh.. No complaints Old fashion burger and fries and DB had the orange chicken and brown rice! The only thing I can't stand is when restaurants have cold water in the bathroom. My boyfriend & I ordered the chicken quesadillas as our app, always a perfect 10---I highly recommend this item if you haven't tried it. My boyfriend ordered the teriyaki chicken. Came on the bone with black seasame seeds garnish, white rice, platanos & grilled pineapple chucks. He said it was delicious & he would definately get it again. The presentation was great. I ordered the four cheese pasta with grilled chicken. As always, it was amazing. This dish NEVER disapppints & always more than half to bring home for another meal or two. We took home tirmisu cheesecake & the 30th anniversary cheesecake. We loved it. I only gave four stars though because I always feel like there is an attitude at all Cheesecake Factory locations. I've had normal experiences dining in the few times I've been here. You get what you expect from a meal at the Cheesecake Factory: service is fine, food is what you expect and dessert is great. My main issue is with take out. Sometimes it's fine. Other times they've given me containers half full of salad or pasta (I know they have huge portions but these were paltry portions even for a normal restaurant). Multiple times they've forgotten to include sides/sauces/salad dressings. Plus, using curbside pick up is a gamble: the last two times I've called they put me on hold for 5+ minutes, and one time left me on hold for nearly 10 minutes, only to tell me to come inside to pick it up because no one is available. It wastes my time as well as my money because I purposefully tip extra when I know I'm going to do curbside (it's usually when the weather isn't great or the mall is busy and I want to show appreciation for that). I end up giving an unnecessarily large tip for pick up. Lesson learned not to pre-tip. Maybe stick to dining in or only picking up dessert at this location. read more
