Very disappointing..... Took my daughter here (at her request) to celebrate her birthday. The bread was not warmed, always a bad start for me. I ordered the French Dip type sandwich. It was so mushy I should've sent it back. I substituted the salad for the fries that usually come with it. The salad sucked too. The lettuce was awful soggy. For dessert we shared a s'more cheesecake which was just OK. My daughter had a chicken dish that she liked. I tasted it and thought it was excessively garlicky. Since it was my daughter's birthday and she selected the restaurant, I chose not to complain and send my dish back. I work at the mall a few feet away from the restaurant. I am tired of eating the food court food so I decided to call in for take out. They told me my order would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I walked over and waited for 30 mins and had to asked if my order was ready. The persons behind the counter told me they would go and check. They came back less than 5 mins later with my food. I walked over to my store which is about a 3 mins walk from the restaurant and found that my food was cold.... not happy about that. Now I'm in 30 mins into my break and I had to eat a cold burger and cold fries. Also, I asked for my burger to be cooked medium well and is was clearly under cooked. Extremely disappointed. My friend suggested celebrating her birthday at the Cheesecake Factory located in the Willowbrook Mall in NJ on a Saturday night at 6:00 pm, which is probably one of the busiest times to try and get a table for two. Try getting one for a table of 9. Anyway, my guest and I arrived around 5:30 PM to put in our name. The hostess explained the wait time would be two hours. We agreed to sit in the bar area to wait patiently for them to accommodate us. As the clock ticked away, our other guests arrived. While the conversation was lively and the bartenders were friendly, we had time to sample the menu and dream about our dinner choices. The menu choices, ambiance of the restaurant and friendly and efficient bartenders earned their 5 star rating from our party of 9. Having such an outstanding experience at the bar, we were so excited when the Cheesecake Factory transponder began blinking wildly at 6:30 pm, which was around an hour into our wait. We jubilantly paid our bar tab, left our spots at the bar, and I happily returned the blinking transponder (#11) to the hostess so we could be seated for our friend's birthday dinner. Here is where my review goes from 5 stars to 2. When we carefully meandered through the large crowd of other patiently waiting customers, the hostess said, "Oh. That is a mistake. I told you two hours." Well, transponder #11 went off. So, whose mistake was it? Ours? Now, we lost our comfortable seats at the bar and the wait area was full of other patrons. We had beverages to hold and no place to put them. The hostess seemingly did not care and continued to accept more reservations. I explained that we were clearly ahead of the other 40 people waiting to be seated. It did not matter. The employee's reaction was not solution-oriented. I suggested splitting our group so we could be seated, but she refused. When I asked to see the manager, he said he could not accommodate us and was "sorry about the mistake." When I asked for the corporate phone number and his name, his tone changed. He said he would move our place up and accommodate us but it would be another 30 minutes possibly. We really did not understand why we were made to feel their problem was our issue, when, clearly, the seating issue was a mistake made by whomever entered our transponder incorrectly into the computer. However, the hostess and manager clearly did not see it this way. So, what could we do? We left and visited the competition where our service was excellent, the manager was attentive (gave our party free chips and dip), and our waiter received a very hefty tip. read more

Charlie K was our server and I literally cannot say enough about him (and truthfully I have never gone so far as to write a review about a server). From the minute he greeted us (we were a party of four - 2 adults and 2 teens) he was personable and engaging. When it came to ordering our dinners he was patient with my daughters and gave them recommendations when the solicited them (they were both extremely pleased with both of his recommendations)! Throughout our meal Charlie was attentive without being overbearing and we did not have to want for anything. When it came to ordering desert one of my daughter's ordered something that was not available, he came back and was so apologetic (even though it was not his fault) and assisted her in choosing something that was absolutely delicious! I ordered curbside takeout because it was my birthday and I was going to enjoy my meal in the hotel I was staying at. I have cheesecake factory food maybe twice a year and was really looking forward to the meal that I always order, the Chicken Bellagio. I was asked if I wanted the complementary bread and I said yes. I also asked for packed utensils. I could barely understand the lady taking the order and just prayed she got everything right. Got to the hotel, no bread. I most likely would have only had one slice but still, its my option if I want to eat it, I said yes when she asked and when im paying almost twenty bucks for a meal, I want the bread. I was given two forks. No knifes. The prosciutto was very thick and fatty, and pretty much uneatable. Chicken tasted almost undercooked and the worst part of it was that it was missing the parmesan cream sauce. It looked like plain oil on the bottom. I was so pissed off. Ate half of it and threw the rest away. The most prominent pars of this dish were wrong and I would have just brushed it off but it was a birthday meal and, well, it sucked so I just have to write a review. read more

We have dined at Cheesecake Factory many times with friends and family over the years. Although sometimes it's a wait about 45 minutes for a table especially when you have large group on a Saturday evening, we try to grin and bare it . Our times there for lunch and dinner have been good, all enjoy their meals, drinks, desserts. Their salads are fresh and very tastey, like the Caesar salad, BBQ Ckn Ranch, and the Santa Fe salads. For this dinner I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and was cooked well and tasted great, my daughters split the fried shrimp platter and totally enjoyed every last bit, and my husband had the hibachi steak which he thoroughly enjoyed. Each meal is a large portion so dessert may have to go on the back burner - but if you do get dessert may I recommend the cheesecake LOL - whichever one you get it will be awesome. If full from your meal, then bring a slice or a chessecake home and enjoy later - you will be glad you did. The overall experience at Cheesecake Factory is good and everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks with no problems - that's a good night. Try it out and make your own decision. read more

It's a nice place for happy hour. Drinks and appes are $5! The bartenders are nice but not all of them are consistent with quality cocktail preparations. I definitely would choose the Cosmo and well drinks over their mojito which just has floating mint garnish rather than a muddled incorporated drink. The food so far as been hit or miss. The nachos and crab wontons tasted great but the shrimp summer roll was bland and unremarkable and the buffalo chicken blasts were barely chicken and very greasy. The overall service (including bussers and runners) have been respectful and happy and the bar area is a relaxing place to be at to chat after a hard days work. Beware of the tip they suggest on your check. While my check read 20%, it was actually 40%. The check total was 42.96 and they suggested a $17.18 tip. Do the math, that's 40%. They also calculated the tip with sales tax, which is wrong They are totally wrong in their math and you need to be diligent. This in no way reflects on their food, service or performance, it is management's fault with their computer system. Perhaps the state or credit card company needs to have a word with them read more

Worst dinner ever. This place is not consistent with their food. Our waitress was very abrupt and nasty. I had to ask for another server. We arrived Monday evening and decided to sit outside. The receptionist guided us to the perfect seats near a heating element. She was cheerful and happy and seem to enjoy what she was doing which always puts your mind at ease! Brandon our waiter arrived shortly to greet us and asked us what we would like. This young man was one of the kindest, professional and goodhearted a individuals I have ever come in contact with..! His congenial presence made our visit to your facility fantastic. His table and professional waiting abilities were... Bar none this best I've seen! Our food, drinks and timing for all courses were impeccable! I give the food a good score of a solid "B", Steak Diane was a tiny bit bland but my wives Chicken Crusted dish was superb! I do not know why this Cheesecake location does not have four or five stars. Every time i ate there, it was an enjoyable experience. The first time, we were a group of six and our server was great, the drinks and food came on time and were yummy. The last time i went there, it was super busy and there was a 45mns wait. Our waitress was busy too but she was nice and took her time with us. She did forget our side order but it was totally understandable since they were packed plus she seemed to have a big section, anyway they rushed it and it came quick with the entrees. For a chain this place is great! I love the avacado eggrolls. They have a mini portions menu & lunch menu & the prices are great! Greek salad is always a good choice as is the bbq chicken ranch salad, cant beat the meatloaf sandwhich or the miso salmon, if u want something heavier their sherpards pie is my ghubbys favorite! First and last time eating in this establishment. I came here on a Sunday night with 9 people. They told us our table was ready before they even cleared it so we stood there waiting as they cleaned. I ordered an omelette since I figured it was a safe meal. It's hard to screw up an omelette right? Wrong. Not only did they forget to cook my omelette and I got my meal after all my friends were already halfway done but they never brought me toast. I ended up just eating the bread and butter they put on the table in the beginning of the meal admit dinner. The omelette had a really bad taste to it. I'm thinking the spinach was old and slimy. I've been coming here for a handful of years primarily because of its central and mall location, though I haven't been in ages, until recently. Located inside Williowbrook Mall, it offers tons of seating and loads of food options. The menu is so varied, it's sometimes overwhleming. From the brunch/breakfast menu to the salads, sandwiches, pastas, entrees and drinks, not to mention their infamous cheesecake, no one can come here and say they can't find something to eat. The porions are humongous! Come here with an appetite. There's a good chance if you get an app and a meal, you'll be bringing some food home with you! The decor is nice; the same as any Cheesecake Factory (it's a chain), and the bar is large and inviting, with ample bar and table seating. What's nice about this location is the outdoor seating, albeit, it faces the mall parking lot. The service is OK; it seems a little scattered at times. Between the servers and the food runners, there's so much service, but most times it can be just too much or even too little. Its location makes it tough to get a seat at lunch and dinner hours, especially on weekends and they don't take reservations, but it's great to pop in for a bite or cocktail when you need a break from shopping! And of course, don't forget a piece of cheesecake, even if you have to take it home. There's like over 20 delicious varities to choose from! read more

Typical Cheesecake Factory, but not such great service. I came here with my husband tonight ordered drinks, an appetizer and our meals. My husband got a steak and I got a burger, I ordered it medium well and it came out very very rare. I sent it back to be cooked which took a while. So my husband sat and ate his food while I waited because I didn't want his to go cold. Once my food was done I then got to sit and eat alone. It's never nice to have 1 person eating alone. Our waiter was nice and apologized after all it wasn't his fault but they could have offered offered a drink while I waited. They should have taken both meals back so we could have eaten together, after all that is why we did go out to dinner. read more

This place used to be so good ... It's just going down . We were a party of 4 including a one and a half year old . We arrived at 7 tonight (a Sunday ) and sat around 7:30 fine ... Place was busy but not swamped ... Ok .. Why would you walk us to a table still dirty and not set up ? Also I asked for a booster ( not there ) anyway eventually got it ... Waited a few minutes for the waiter .. Fine again .. He comes over and I immediately ask for a burger for my daughter and chic fingers and fries for the baby ... He comes back with the drinks and I then place my order ( a salad ) and my husbands ( steak Diane and shrimp ) and an appetizer ( guacamole chips ) ok ... About 20 min or so later her burger comes out and then that started the mess and disaster ! No app ! no baby's food ! Um hello I specifically asked for that first ... Then about 15 min later app comes out and my salad and my husbands cold food ! ( mashed potatoes could have held the fork up they were so cold and dry ) I can't even finish the review I was so annoyed .. Manager came over and apologized but whatever ... Service is horrible! After I received my beverage of choice, asked the waitress for a water with lemon. She came back with bread (no water). I asked for a straw, waitress said "sure no problem" (never received a straw). I helped myself to some utensils, since none were available for the appiterzers have arrived. I always enjoy the Cheesecake Factory so I was extremely surprised and disappointing when we went to this one on the 4th and were told they were out of a few different items, but they have so much so no big deal right. I order Steak Diane, always fantastic but not this time, badly overcooked, tasted like pepper, no other flavor, hardly any sauce at all, and the sauce is normally amazing. My date got a burger, what could go wrong, also badly overcooked. I've always liked cheesecake factory and never had any real issues with any of the locations I've visited. As of tonight I can tell you I will never go back to the one at Willowbrook mall in Wayne. I was craving some sort of sweet dessert so my boyfriend and I decided this would be a great place to go; he could get dinner and I could satisfy my sweet tooth. We were seated right away but it took the waiter a good 5-10 minutes to come over and grunt at us - yes, he actually grunted. He was completely miserable the entire time we were there. Inattentive, rude, and absentee are the nicest ways to describe the service. Then there was the food, the only thing that wasn't awful was my chocolate milkshake. I ordered the apple crisp, and was not impressed in the slightest. Mostly nuts and whipped cream with very little apple or what is usually added for "crisp". My boyfriend got the pan seared salmon with angel hair pasta. He was nice enough to wait for my food to get to the table before he started eating, unfortunately this lead to another 10 minute wait and his food being almost cold by the time he got to eat it. The pasta was definitely microwaved, clumped together, dry, and completely disgusting. The salmon was ok, but not well cooked by any means. When the waiter asked how everything was, we told him about the issue with the pasta. Wet got another grunt, no apology, and he walked away. We figured a manager would be forthcoming at that point, and he was, again after a decent (15 minute) wait. The manager sort of half assedly apologized but explained that if the pasta stays in the window too long waiting to be delivered it gets dry and can stick. When the bill came we were shocked to see that we were still being charged the full $17 for his meal - even though half of it had been inedible. Between the terrible service and the bad food, nothing could get me back into this restaurant. We actually ended up going straight to Chipotle afterward so my boyfriend could eat dinner. read more
