This location used to be occupied by a McDonald's for many years. When the Chicken Shack first opened, it looked like another generic fast food place to me. They have improved their menu over the years (mainly adding a lot of Greek food) and have an excellent selection nowadays. Besides their signature flame broiled chicken, they also offer burgers, ribs, gyro platters, shawarma, souvlaki, sweet potato fries, spinach pie, salad and even soup. I have tried several items from here and in general, the food is fresh with large portions. Coupled with the extensive menu, you could do a lot worse for a dining choice. The chicken is moist and you get that charbroiled taste which I was looking for. The gyro platter was fine. It came with rice and salad. Also the spinach pie was just ok. The star is definitely the chicken and I would probably just order that next time. No green sauce comes with the chicken. I like this place for a quick meal when I don't feel like cooking dinner. I'm usually in the area once a month for a doc appointment and it's after work so getting home at 6 to cook is a no no for me. I usually get the 1/2 chicken meal. It comes with any side they have and there are a lot of options. It also comes with a small tossed salad and pita bread. I usually eat half of the half chicken one day with the salad and some of the side and bread. I've gotten baked sweet potatoes and other times I've gotten fries. I was in the neighborhood shopping when I decided to look for a lunch spot. I found this place on yelp and gave it a try based on their reviews. I ordered one of their shack specials, 1/2 chicken with salad and one side of my choice. I picked rice and beans as my side. I ordered at the counter and within 10 minutes, food arrived. The chicken was juicy. The rice and beans were delicious. I like the salad but I only tried a little bit because I was full afterwards.
