I waited a few months after enrolling my daughter into a new daycare to provide a fair review. Where to begin? There were several unacceptable moments at this daycare and yet I still trusted my daughter to them. 1. As an infant a teacher fell with my daughter in her arms. I wasn't advised I had a couple days to request to view the cameras. They never called an ambulance they just said she was fine. I kick myself in the butt for never taking this further and reporting them. 2. There was a teacher named Jasmine that an incident happen with and they let her go. 3. There was an incident where I arrived to be told my daughter ran into another child face to face collision and she had a huge knot on her forehead. No medical care was provided, I was notified by a teacher that wasn't even in the room or witness to the incident. The teacher caring for her supposedly never noticed or witnessed anything. Laughable, 2 children colliding hard enough to create a big knot on my daughter's forehead would have caused them to both cry. Nonetheless, no one was aware she had a head injury therefore if she would have suffered any symptoms after the fact or even died no one was aware of what occurred until I was notified at pick up and I sent an email out to them addressing that incident and how it was not okay. That's when they expressed they had no idea what had happened until they had to sign the paper notice I signed at pick up. 4. Children biting all the time and no one correcting that behavior. After my daughter was bit a few times she tried to start biting and I correct that behavior immediately. 5. Many other incident and situations occurred, but my last straw was Ms. Lee psychologically impacting my child and forcing her to put her shoes on when my child couldn't. What's worse is I supply shoes without shoe laces and the best part is I was watching the cameras right when this was happening. It lasted minutes not seconds, she proceeded to have my child crying while my child sat on the floor, Ms. Lee was inches from her face saying "God knows what". My daughter's legs were out with knees slightly bent and Ms. Lee decided to press her knee down (continued saying things) and forcing her to get her shoes and put them on. That was it, I had enough and had her removed for the room and made the decision to seek care elsewhere. This daycare is not a daycare, they don't have curriculums, they keep the older kids outside for hours even with extreme heat. They don't have any type of system to teach children consistency, potty training, nor any type of developmental curriculum. This is more like a nanny service, drop off your child, hope for the best and be met with you're just a nagging parent. I made a mistake to trust this place because my older son went to a children's courtyard in Grand Prairie and they were phenomenal. But this location only cares about money and doing the bare minimum. I'm happy to say that my daughter is at a new daycare center (different company) and it has been a success. My daughter has learned and experienced many amazing things and is fully potty trained. This happened in less than 6 months. The curriculum at this new school is high standard, she has done amazing activities, experienced diverse cultures. They don't spend hours outside (especially with it being cold). There is consistency and an actual curriculum with actual learning. Do no waste your money and time at this location, do not regret giving one opportunity after another for them to do right and also, do not have children ages 2-3 and older on the right side of the school (when you enter all rooms to the right), because the teachers yell at the children and they also use profanity. Yes, saying stupid, dumb, or worse profanity is profanity and unacceptable language. Lastly, it got so bad on the right side with Ms. Lee my child was crying on our way to daycare, and when we turned the corner to her classroom she would run back towards the entrance and cry that she didn't want to stay and how Ms. Lee treated her some way. Listen to your child, when they cry in your car driving to daycare (or any location) when they express anxiety or fear to enter a classroom and their facial and physical expression change *huge red flag* do not ignore your child. I drew the line especially when I seen what I seen on camera and it was the best decision I could have made for my daughter that is now in a better place, physically, emotionally and more. I will say the issue begins with corporate, they need to be more involved in what is happening at this location, they need a better system, they need to invest more in actual curriculums and they need to stop covering up their mistakes, now they don't allow parents to see cameras, they review it themselves and then make a determination that is bias. Lastly, they do not offer water and they hardly eat the food supplied at the daycare. Your child will always be hungry and thirsty. read more

Had to update my review since I've had a terrible Incident happen w my son and his teacher. Sadly one bad apple ruins it for Everyone else and my children are no longer in that establishment. I give it 2 stars because all the other teachers there deserve 5 stars! Ms.Jennifer, Ms. Janett are so amazing. I suppose management did their part in apologizing for the incident and follow their "protocols". But as a mother I cannot take my children somewhere where they are not safe or don't feel Safe and are scared of their teacher. I wish there was individual teacher reviews... We absolutely love what's going on here at this Children's Courtyard on Esters Blvd in Irving. (TL;DR version at bottom) My son has been going since he was 1 y.o. earlier this year, and everyone in the family has seen him grow leaps and bounds. And while my wife and I would like to think its ALL because of our awesome parenting skills, there's no doubt in our minds that the teachers and management here have truly made an incredible impact on our son's growth. Every single teacher my son and I have interacted with here have been truly caring and incredibly professional - my son's first teacher Ms. Stephanie in the transitional toddler class has been phenomenal to his confidence level, social skills, and other early child skills. We can't say enough great things about her, Ms. Kay, and every single other teacher there - they really make you and your child feel like family. Other reasons this place is 5-stars: - they use a messaging app to stay in touch with you during the day, sending updates, pictures and videos quite often. It really helps you stay connected with your child and his/her teachers. - they also have included a video monitoring system which is one of the big reasons we decided to go with this location - it still baffles me how some of the other big name childcare businesses don't allow parents to see their kids via a secured service. - flexible care options is another big reason we chose CC Esters; we wanted to start my son on a part-time, 3-5 days/wk schedule. it's worked out great obviously. - last but not least, Ms. Nickie and Ms. Deidre really round out the exceptional care here at the management level. TL;DR version: CC Esters location is #1. Teachers (Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Kay) are irreplaceable. My daughter goes to school here. She started at 12 weeks and she's now almost 3 years old! When she started going here, the teachers and staff were awesome and patient with me. They answered all my silly "mom" questions along the way. I feel like they're an extension of my family- my husband feels the same way. My daughter LOVES Ms Saretha. They have a really sweet bond. Ms Nickie and Ms Deidre are amazing directors. They are patient and great listeners. Their customer service is top notch. They care a lot about the kids and parents, but I've also noticed they care a lot about safety and their teachers as well. They have tons of integrity. I am thankful to have them! read more

I have enrolled my child at Children's Courtyard in Coppell last year it was a great experience. This year I kept my son at Children's Courtyard, at the Esters Blvd and it was a disaster . I checked my son all day through the cameras. Guess what! the teacher just "checked" my son's diaper twice, did not change even once all day and sent him home in a super full diaper. His pee had leaked into his clothes and the diaper was full. I saw on cameras that the teacher checked his diaper and she just put his pants on without changing it and updated false post on the app. Moreover, I had given lunch from home and had informed the teacher, my son was not given any home lunch, he did not eat the lunch they served at school and in name of food only tiny bits were offered to him. I had a sippy cup of water and that too was not offered all day. He was so hungry and thirsty when he came home because he had not eaten nor had water all day! No structured learning happened. All day the teacher did was check each kids diapers, made them play at the table, play at on the carpet and 3 hrs of nap time. No story time, no circle time. Coppell one was way better, I am going there for sure. read more

Our daughter has been attending this Irving Esters location since she was 4 months old and she is now 14 months. Leaving my only child in the care of another was so hard for me to do but we're thankful for this location because they have been nothing but loving, professional, and patient with my daughter! As an educator myself I understand the ups and downs of a classroom; warms my heart to witness my daughter flourish and develop into an inquisitive and advanced little one. I attribute a lot of the growth in her to this center. Her teachers have been so patient and nurturing- Janet, Cindy, Enedina, and Stephanie. The director, Nicki, is amazing! Deidre, the manager is also awesome! They run this facility with great structure, professionalism, cleanliness and high standards. Highly qualified, long term teachers, "Remind" notifications, and camera subscription services available. We have moved almost an hour away from this location but still commute to keep her here because of the tremendous growth she's displayed in their care. They have great curriculum, accredited facility, and encourage exploration. I call daily to check in (even though I subscribe to the camera service) and they give me accurate updates about my daughter's day. They go above and beyond and it doesn't go unnoticed. My son has not going here but I went there for a tour about a couple of months ago. I felt at peace right away as soon as I entered the building. It was very tidy. And the teachers were pleasant and informative. They've TV monitoring available at a small fee, which allows you to see your child while you're at work. After I left, the franchise owner followed up with me. I wished they've pick up bus service from Manara Academy. I gave 4 stars as my son has not started there yet. I'll do another review of and when he start. But based on just that your and the numerous follow ups I had, I'm comfortable with this place. The prices are reasonable for the area. read more

Everything about The Children's Courtyard is 5 star! The director, Nikki, is hands on and just incredibly friendly. The teachers are attentive, understanding, personable. It couldn't be more safe or more clean either and I'm picky about those two things. My son started off with Miss Stephanie in one of the infants rooms. My baby boy is not the easiest child and is a crier but that did not phase her one bit! Not any of the other teachers. I honestly don't know how they do it. He's now in Miss Saretha's class as he's gotten older and she loves him just as much! The Children's Courtyard is full of staff that is perfectly suited for caring for and helping raise young children. My son has learned so much here including table eating and holding utensils! We call where he goes every day "school" because "day care" just doesn't fit. It's so much more. read more

I'm not sure if the other review on here was for the correct location because Nikki (the director), Deidre (the manager) and the staff are amazing! I was nervous about going back to work when my son was three months old but having Miss Julie take care of him put my nerves at ease. He's now six months old and smiles at the teachers when I drop him off and has a blast at daycare. I'm still nursing him and often go to the daycare during lunch since they have a nursing room I can use in the classroom and my work is 8 mins away :) they also have a camera system you can sign up for so when I'm missing him at work I can sign in and see what he's up to. Nikki and Deidre are both super organized with any updates (there is an infant text communication) and you can tell the teachers love their job and take good care of the babies. Very poorly managed daycare. I sent my 4 month old here and they were really unprofessional. I often saw babies sitting naked while the teacher walked around & focussed more on talkin to other teachers, for more than 5 minutes on cold days. They would often turn the fan on in winters in infant room. I would always find my baby crying in one corner when i picked them up. Never felt like he was being taken care of. I feel bad for having let my little baby tortured like this for more than 3 months. I wish i knew better at that time. Teachers used to discourage me for breastfeeding,often told me that my son did not like my breastmilk & I should switch to formula. The emails I sent were never answered, director once told me that she no longer checks emails because inbox is too full..very unprofessional. So I used to either call or walk in to get info...very inconvenient for working parents. I moved to a neighboring city & switched my baby to another city's children's courtyard. Irving location gave me a hard time, telling me that i will have to pay for 2 extra weeks because a notice was required. The other branch's director called them to settle the matter because it was just an internal transfer to another branch. That shows how non-cooperative and inconsiderate this management was. I would not recommend this location to any one. Teachers are not good..they don't seem loving & caring towards babies. It was my first experience with day care and I thought this is how it is supposed to be. Believe me, it's not!!! The other branch was much better and had great teachers. I finally moved my kid to another day care (at age 2.5 yrs) & I feel he has better exposure here than he had at children's courtyard. read more

My son attends this daycare and we love the director, Nikki and the staff. He has been at this location since he was 4 months old. The majority of the teachers have been there since he first started so there has been little turnover. My son's teacher, Vivian is patient and always gives me a realistic opinion on this day which I appreciate. We briefly left to try a Montessori school but quickly returned because my son missed this place! They really care about the kids at this daycare and I highly recommend. P.S. My son has been going to this school since he was two. He has learned so much and made such a great connection with the staff and kids. They put me at ease when I was looking for a location for my son. I wanted him to learn and keep the values that he learns at home and they have done a remarkable job with him. He is so happy when we talk about his day when I pick him up. Tells me what he has learned in class all about the play time what kid doesn't like that. Also knows words in Spanish and that's great in my eyes. They have cameras in your child's class room for you to check in and see them real time. Also they have class room tablets that the teachers use they will send you messages to keep you updated and pictures of your child to show you what they are doing in the classroom that day. Everyone is amazing at this school/daycare and my son is more then ready to start his next chapter in life because of the help at CCY of getting him ready. My daughter has been attending CC for about 7 months and it has been a great experience. From meeting with Ms. Nikki and Ms. Deidre for all of my concerns for my daughter's education was seamless. Ms. Pamela was her teacher last year, but was and is a great teacher and I still liaise with her on homework for my preschooler. My daughter has been attending The Children's courtyard for 2.5 years. Every teacher and caregiver whose class she has attended has been extremely attentive and hands on. It's easy to tell that everyone working here has a love and passion for their calling. The administrative staff is professional and flexible. The food is healthy and contains a wide variety. My child's current teacher, Ariel, is exceptionally good with her age group of children. She engages them and really seems to love what she does. The staff is up to date with current technology, so not only can I view my child live streaming whenever I choose, but the teachers also post videos and pictures to a secure app which lets me know what my child is learning each day. Ariel is really good about posting tons of pictures for me to see and when I pick my little girl up, I have a great idea of what she learned that day so we can talk about it on the way home.
