Initial assessment to have new wood burning insert installed in existing firebox was performed by Judd who was very professional & knowledgeable. The installation was going to be challenging due to hearth sits too high to just slide the insert into place in the firebox. Judd also discussed the status of the aged chimney masonry which needs repair but gave options that we the homeowners can perform ourselves. The scheduled fireplace insert was scheduled to be done within 2 weeks. Lenny & Brent arrived on scheduled date & time prepared with all parts & necessary tools. Very nice, professional & respectful of property from start to finish. The installation was very challenging indeed & Lenny kept us informed of what the difficulties were being presented by the hearth height & the narrow neck of the chimney where it meets the firebox. After 5 hours, the job was completed. The insert was ready to use immediately. Lenny explained all needed info regarding how to use the insert. We were in need of a new wood stove chimney pipe due to a botch-job on the original installation. We weren't aware of this hazardous condition until we had called Chimney Specialist for a sweep and the field crew pointed it out. We were provided a quote (the day after the Superbowl!!)(impressive) and the work was scheduled just a week later. Fast forward to the install. The crew of Lenny and Hunter were amazing. Not only were they professional, informative and skilled, they were truly nice guys. It couldn't have been an easy install given our lofted ceiling and when they encountered a situation (wonky ceiling joist locations) and I'm dreading the "unforeseen field condition" change order, they merely pointed it out and made it go away. Awesome. The finished product was perfect. These guys know their stuff and as an extra bonus, I'm pretty sure the work area was cleaner after they left than when the arrived. I contacted the chimney specialist located in Sumner through email asking to get a quote for an inspection and cleaning. I was promptly emailed back by Katie with the information I asked for. I then responded back to her to setup an appointment on a specific date and time which the accommodated. The day before my scheduled cleaning and inspection I then received a courtesy call from Jackie reminding me of the scheduled appointment. Toby and Chase were the technicians on the job. They were both super polite and knowledgeable. I asked a bunch of questions regarding my chimney and wood stove insert and they had the answers. We needed a sweep and inspection in advance of replacing a wood-burning fireplace with a gas insert. Katie was quick and clear about scheduling and cost, even calling with a reminder. (Two competitors didn't return calls.) Today Kyle and Zach came and very quickly did the job. The inspection revealed a worn cement crown on top and they explained how we can get that fixed next summer, no hurry. They removed our old metal cap, which covered 3 flues, covered each with appropriate separate caps. The gas insert won't be installed until March 1 (supply chain!) and the temporary on that flue will be there for us this winter. Many thanks to all three. read more

I contacted Chimney Specialists for a fireplace and chimney inspection. Toby did the inspection and gave us recommendations for repair work needed. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. We decided to have the repair work done on the chimney and were able to get it scheduled for 2 weeks later. Toby and his assistant did an excellent job and my chimney, new flashing and damper look great! They were polite and respectful of my property and when they were finished with the job, everything was clean and tidy.
