My wife & I dined at this location on our 41st wedding anniversary, 9/20/2021, after we had made a reservation for 12:00 noon specifically requesting a table instead of a booth because the bench-style seats of booths cause us back pain. When the hostess had her assistant seat us, she tried to seat us in a booth, which we refused, stating that we had requested a table when the reservation was made. The hostess responded by curtly saying "Well, that wasn't written down on your reservation." So after this awkward moment with the hostess we were finally seated at a table & thanks to our fantastic server - who even served us a complimentary desert since it was our wedding anniversary - we had a very pleasant dining experience. But as we left, the avoidance of eye contact & the "cold shoulder" body language of the hostess said "good riddance" to us as we walked by, as though she thought we were being "bitchy" simply because we demanded the type of seating that we had reserved!! We have dined at this Chop House location routinely in the past, but I can assure you we won't be back anytime soon!!! read more

At 5:50 on a Saturday they said it was an hour plus wait. A quick glance around and there were a large number of vacant tables ready to seat people. Appeared to be vastly understaffed. Walked over to Bonefish and sat in 5 minutes even though they were slammed. read more

The kids loved their baby back ribs and the hubby said his steak was great. The fried apples, baked potatoes, stuffed mushroom caps, cheese sticks, and bread and butter we yummy! I ordered the pork chop which came out after the rest of my tables dishes and still was not cooked. By that time everyone was pretty much done and I wasnt waiting for another chop. The manager apologized and comped my chop and gave me a certificate for 15.00 off my next meal. He was very understanding. Maybe they shouldnt serve such a big cut if its dificult to get done all the way? I will be back, the service was great and the all but my chop was delish. If I had to choose between good service or good food, I'd most certainly choose the latter. I shouldn't have to choose. The Chop House makes you choose. Upon arrival we were told there was a 15m wait for a party of 2. Sat night at 7pm, that's cool. We were given a vibrating coaster and walked outside, sat directly by the door on a bench. 20m later, a couple that came after us was seated. 10m after that I go the hostess stand and am told "We came looking for you." A) I have a buzzer. B) I was sitting right outside the door. It would have been more forgivable to tell the truth & apologize than to bold face lie about it. Had the Deviled Eggs as an app, came out immediately & were delicious. Ordered mid-rare sirloin and Hubby ordered Ribs&Chicken. 15 entire mins later my salad arrives (they didn't have Italian dressing, either!) When our entrées finally arrive, a whopping 1hr and 15 mins after arrival, my steaks is WAY over cooked. Like medium-WELL. 10 mins later the manager walks by to ask how everything is. (The server hasn't even been by at this point and I'm just sitting their hungry, not eating.) I say overcooked, he says "wow, way over!" Turns out I got someone else's food. Poor chick probably had to wait another 30 mins after that to eat :(. However, in contrast to the not great customer service, the food was DELICIOUS! I can honestly say that it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. And my husband said the ribs were perfect. I'm sure we'll eat here again, but it'll probably be carry out. I gave it 2 stars because my rare prime rib was nice. But, we don't usually come here for me; rather, for my wife. She LOVES the club sandwich, which our party of six found on this visit, has been removed from the menu. Dumb corporate decision! Adios, Chop House. We always go around 8:30 pm or 9:00 pm to avoid the crowds; therefore, there was not a wait. If you go during prime dining times, though, you will have a wait. This is a rightfully popular place. Food arrived quickly. Shrimp cocktail came out within minutes of ordering, along with their oh so yummy, slightly sweet, bread. (We came here specifically because I had a craving from Shrimp cocktail, and it is always yummy here.) Salad came out almost as soon as we were done with the shrimp. And dinner arrived shortly thereafter. Prime rib was thick sliced and actually rare - most places I order it rare and it is medium. Very juicy. Nice and hot. Asparagus was also excellent - seasoned, but not too salty. Baked potato, though, was not completely cooked and arrived only warm, so the cheese was not melted. Husband's steak looked a shade past medium-well, but he indicated it was juicy and tasty, so no complaints there. Chicken Parm was also good. (I'm hoping to get the chicken leftovers!) Waiter was attentive but a little chatty. Still, he picked up used appetizer plates and such very right away. Also, he brought the bill and to go boxes quickly. So while every so slightly annoying, his technical execution of his duties was excellent. Food server smiled (waiter brought main meal, but a food server brought the other items). Usually the food server at restaurants are not engaged. All in all, a nice experience for my husband and my little celebration. We've been here before and will continue to return. If I had written this review after visiting the first time, they would receive five stars. However, after my visit tonight, they no longer deserve five stars. My waiter was kind, mostly. He was knowledgable about the menu and brought drinks regularly. I should go ahead and say that the food is good, and some may even find it great. However, what made me rethink eating here was the man who brought out our appetizer tonight. He smiled, and set the appetizer down on the table. And then he quickly said to me "That plate isn't dirty, some of your appetizer just fell on it." Which would be fine, except for the plate was dirty. I made reservations for a table for 3 through Opentable for my Wife's Birthday on Sunday 09/30 at 11:30am. I requested a table not a booth. When we arrived we were taken to a booth and I told the lady that we requested a table. In a few minutes we were seated at a table but were told the we had to be finished within an hour due to this table had another reservation. As always the service and food was very good except for feeling rushed. I also was told that my wife would receive a complimentary dessert for her birthday. Her dessert came in a to go box. Excellent service and very prompt. Shrimp bisque soup was superb. Not to be outdone by the prime rib. Normally the cap of the rib roast is the only thing I look forward to eating. Not here. Enjoyed a nice date here. Price very good for the quality. Good wine list for a mid priced 'chain'. Had a nice South American Malbec with a sirloin steak alongside with a creamy bernaise sauce - side of sweet potato topped with brown sugar & cinnamon. My caesar salad was also very fresh and not too strong. My wife had the Seafood Alfredo which had a great trio of lobster, crab and shrimp for only $13. She loved it. Alfredo was homemade, flavorful and a great consistency (not too thick). We sat at the bar to skip the 45 minute wait. Bartender who doubled as our server was very attentive even though it was busy. Atmosphere was down to earth (after all it is the Boro) but music, lighting and decor had a nice ambience of an upper end bistro. Today, my boyfriend and I dined at one of our favorite establishments in Murfreesboro. The Chop House has been our after-church lunch stop for years, but after today's visit, we will no longer be patronizing this establishment. After calling ahead to reserve a table, we were ignored for 2 minutes by the hostess. We waited the rest of our wait time. As we turned in our buzzer, we were asked if we could "be done" by 2:00, because this table was reserved at that time. It was 1:15. We were seated elsewhere, and decided we would let it roll off our shoulders; just an overcrowding issue of some sort. However, shortly after receiving our salads, our dinner arrived; much, much earlier than expected by two servers other than our own. Our own server was surprised at the timing. The food was great, yet cold by the time I finished my salad. I wanted to address the manager of the poor service from the beginning of our visit. Having a background in management, I know how hard it is to juggle busy times. I politely explained our concerns to the manager-on-duty, Brittany. She was very rude, and did not allow me to finish before she blamed the poor service on us being too sensitive. "We're really busy, and we have other 40-50 people to serve besides you." We have never been treated as horribly as we have there; not even at a McDonald's. I pride myself on supporting local, family-owned businesses, but this establishment needs a load of customer service training. Please dine with caution, as the customer is not as worthy as the employee here. read more

So we get there on a Sunday evening and there are 3 to 4 people standing at the host station and I can see about 3 to 5 people or wait staff hanging out near the kitchen. We are told it is a 10 minute wait while "reservations" are walking in left and right. We get seated and the place is only half full but made us wait 10 minutes? I ordered the pasta with lobster, shrimp and no tomatoes. We had a party of 6, but it was a burger, split kids mac/cheese, medium steak and my pasta. It took over and hour to get? Then I notice I get 2 pieces of shrimp about the size of a quarters and lobster pieces about the size of a pencil eraser spread through my pasta. I was not sure if this was Apple Bee's or an upper scale place. I knew the price was 20.00 for the pasta but I wanted the sea food and thought was justified for the price. Not sure if we will be back since there are like 1,000 places to eat in Murfreesboro. read more

Consistently good service and good food no matter what our table gets. They have my favorite side salad from anywhere.

The atmosphere was nice and the service was fine. I ordered the "house specialty" Grilled Chicken Salad, hoping for something light, low-carb and gluten-free. The iceberg lettuce seemed like something out of a grocery store bag mix, the black olives were clearly sliced olives out of a can and on top (and not listed on the salad description) was a giant fried onion ring. It was served with a huge roll and a ton of butter. It wasn't anything "special" and was certainly not worth $13. Thankfully, I was able to pick the fried onion ring off and left the roll and butter alone. read more
