Lobster and clam slider
Pier P.

Really great. Very fresh and inspired choices. The friend who took me told me it's her favorite restaurant and her go to. I had the clam and lobster slider. So much food I needed a fork to pick up what fell out. My friend ordered the ceviche and loved it so much that she ordered another. The woman who brought us to this marvelous place had the clam chowder which she recommended highly. They also have a really good wine list and wines by the glass. Can't go wrong

I really wanted to give more stars, as the service was excellent loved our waitress. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Location perfect with the outdoor seating on a beautiful NYC day after shopping in the west village.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our drinks were refreshing but food just ok. Spaghetti with clams was a nice serving but missing the basics. They put a lot of arugula on-top , but so dry no balsamic & served no bread with the pasta.

Clam Chowder

Stopped in on a rainy day and ordered the clam chowder. Large portion with big chunky potatoes. Very creamy and filling with lots of chopped up clams. I want to return and try the clam strips! I noticed they have some good lunch specials (soup and lobster slider/caesar salad w clam strips) I'll be trying this place over the summer for sure.

This Seafood restaurant has been a neighborhood staple for over a decade now, glad I made the choice to dine-in for afternoon lunch. Still made it during lunch special combo deals; Ordered half dozen raw oysters, Fried Clam Caesar salad, Crispy cod tacos, and clam chowder with Lobster slider. Dishes delivered to the table warm and with good timing. Oysters tasted fresh without the heavy fishy smell. The star of the meal was definitely the creamy clam chowder soup- with the delicious lobster sandwich to compliment the dish. The meal itself was really enjoyable; even ordered Crème Fraîche Panna Cotta dessert (tasted yummy). Overall, a great seafood find in this area.

The Clam is an excellent seafood restaurant on Hudson Street. We have been going there since it first opened and it is still as good today as it was when it first opened.

Crab Arancini

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Comfortable room and noisy[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cocktails were our favorite part of the meal. Creative and well-balanced, we enjoyed the sweet Barca Encantado for dessert. The Crab Arancini were delicious but very small. The Old Bay Fries with our Salmon Burger were crispy and well-seasoned. The service was attentive.

When the mood strikes at 15,000 walked city steps, and you and your friend try to stick to a "healthy" lunch, The Clam definitely delivered for a beautiful Saturday lunch. We walked in without reservations and while we couldn't be seated outside, we were fine with sitting inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the ambiance and decor--cute plants and flowers, artwork and exposed brick.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was so good--everyone was so attentive, kind and friendly. We each had a Market Plate - which was fresh, delicious and flavorful. My friend had the Salmon with the glazed carrots and sautéed greens. I had the Gulf Shrimp with the other two sides--quinoa and dressed spring salad. I'm not an oyster lover, but my friend had some and she said they were fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed a nice glass of wine and split the chocolate bread pudding. (Perhaps not as healthy as we had hoped.) 10/10 recommend Looking forward to coming here again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The Clam is a cozy West Village gem serving thoughtful, Atlantic-inspired seafood in a homey, unpretentious space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is an easy 8/10--charming, low-key, and cute without trying too hard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with oysters (mix of East & West Coast) and a single jumbo shrimp--yes, just one--which came out perched on the same platter. The chili-lime mignonette was a fresh twist, and honestly, the shrimp moment was hilarious. The Peekytoe Crab Toast? Incredible. Meyer lemon aioli, Aleppo, and red ribbon sorrel made it bright, creamy, and deeply satisfying. Probably the best thing we had. We also shared the grilled black sea bass with snow peas, shiitakes, Aleppo pepper, and miso emulsion--a light but flavorful main. Even the mocktails were on point--the pineapple, cucumber, ginger, and lemon spritz was refreshing & well-balanced. Service was friendly & flexible (they were great about our reservation), and overall the experience felt polished but relaxed. If you're craving seafood that's fresh, flavorful, and doesn't take itself too seriously, The Clam delivers.

Burrata

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here for a late brunch and it was quite busy but died down about 3pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I ordered a few things to share. We got the cocktail shrimp and they were $5/piece. I don't think the shrimp were that good to justify the price. Some of it has a sandy texture and just not as plump and fresh. The burrata was a winner though. Would totally eat that again. The market salad with shrimp was ok. Same complaint about the shrimp. The lobster ariancini was fine. Good but not amazing.

Lovely restaurant walked in without reservations was seated without a problem. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice date night ambiance with hospitable staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Started out with brooklyn burrata salad which was refreshing and tasty. followed by new england clam chowder bowl which was absolutely perfect. it's the best bowl of chowder i've had in my perfect amount of clam and potatoes not too thick or salty it was dibs just right. would highly recommend i will be back.

The spaghetti with clams... yumm

Tried it for the first time and absolutely loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great restaurant, very cozy and confortable, well run, good service and amazing food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have many styles of clams and their cooking all delicious. I had the fresh clams and the spaghetti with clams, truly couldn't tell which i liked better, that's how good it was. I'll keep coming back to try the rest is their menu.

Lobster and clam sliders - very good!
Tansy W.

Pretty good! My favorite dishes were the fried clam and lobster sliders (perfectly fried clams with good Cole slaw but didn't love the fries, which had too much old bay). Other dishes we ordered: - Clam spaghetti: My husband loved it but I thought it was just okay. - Clam chowder: We both loved the strong clam flavor but found the texture to be too watery and not as thick and chowdery as others. - Clam dip: This was not bad either. Good but nothing amazing. - Corn: creamy and a little heavy but not bad. Service was friendly and food was good, just missing the wow factor. But good if you're in the neighborhood!

Delicious food and great service. We sat in the outside area in February and though covered, it was still cold so bring layers.

Ordered a Cadillac Margarita (Casamigos) for me + Vodka Martini (Grey Goose) for my partner + thick Fries + Slice of Chocolate Cake Drinks weren't anything special but the fries were hreat and cake hit the spot. Things I dream of all in one sexy, cozy place that whisks you far away from the streets of Manhattan. Our chairs were comfy, and there were many seating areas that looked equally as inviting. The bar was gorgeous, lighting was super moody. The room was daaark and not very busy on a Friday around 8-8:30 P.M which we appreciated. I picked Chambers for my husband's birthday dinner primarily because of the exceptional wine…read moreprogram, but also because the food is supposed to be really good, too. It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement. He is the best mixologist in NYC. He danced with lemon slices cutting through pours of clear liquids from heights. He tossed and shook, and was precise and caring. A true artist. David made our night. The only reason I would ever walk back into this place is to sit at the bar and let David mesmerize me. FOOD: Broccoli rabe was fresh, but I needed a steak knife to cut through it. It was very al dente. Not cut properly, which is to cut crosses in the stems. Salad was fresh and crisp, high quality fennel and greens. Lovely. Agnoletti was divine. Home made. Focaccia very good with subtle flavors and just the right crust. Olive oil, good. The front of house staff was lovely, two ladies, and a friendly guy. Super lovely. Treated us like friends. Also the busboys were all gentlemen. I loved them. They brushed crumbs off the table with panache. The only complaint is the waiter was robotic, and issued rule after rule. No smile. EX: It was a freezing night. We wanted to order appetizer's first, and have a chance to look at the menu. He couldn't do that. "I need the whole order." Then one of us wanted to order the pre fixe dinner. "You can't do that. You both have to order it." He was very cold, a robot. To enjoy ourselves, we had to push through the horrible treatment. Too bad for the waiter, when I asked about the special pasta, he butchered the pronunciation, giving me a soft pitch to teach him Italian. I blasted him. C'est la vie.
