I had to stop in this week because I heard they had a special menu based on the TV show "Friends." I ordered "The Chandler" which was a Caramel Coconut Latte. The drink was very tasty and made with non-fat milk. In their cooler, they had some prepackaged food so I grabbed a sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. The staff heats them up in the microwave for you. It wasn't bad for a microwaved burrito. read more

I've been a supporter and big fan of Coffee Bean for nearly 15 years. I prefer the coffee, service and ambiance to Starbucks any day, even though I am still a fan of Starbucks. Coffee Bean gives off the neighborhood coffee shop vibe. I visit regularly to do work since they offer free internet at all locations - definitely a great plus! The coffee and tea drinks are great. My favorite is anything with the sugar free chocolate powder. This is where Coffee Bean has the advantage over Starbucks. You just can't get any chocolate drinks at Starbucks that are sugar free. Since they have sugar free chocolate and vanilla powder, you can get most drinks and even ice blended drinks sugar free. read more

I drink simple brewed coffee, prefer dark, bold & rich. If a place doesn't have something like this brewed, I might order an Americano. Therefore, I judge coffee places on their.......COFFEE. The Bean has GREAT brewed coffee. They are fantastic with samples of whatever they have brewed, and I find there coffees very smooth. They are actually the only place where I sometimes ordered the day's flavored coffee; for some reason, their flavored actually tastes good to me with a little half and half, while most places taste like fake-flavored coffee, overdone on the additive flavor. The baristas ALWAYS offer to make a fresh pot of flavored if it's past 11 and I'm interested in it. I think that's amazing... but I can't let them seemingly waste a whole new pot of it on me? If I ever have to wait for a new pot to brew, they are always amazingly nice about it, no matter what location I go to. I like the living room feel of this location, the couch, comfy chairs, and big "conference" type table. I also like sitting outside if it's not too hot; somehow I enjoy it out there, even though I'm looking at a parking lot & Chandler Blvd. Maybe the coffee is just that good to me... I can run a card for that simple cup of coffee, which yes I have had to do before. They never give me any grief about it. Love the company, period! read more

Yesterday I stopped in for a drink after a long morning of Christmas shopping and wasn't really sure what to order so I asked the barista for a recommendation (no one was behind me in line so I didn't think it was a big deal). I can get my usual Americano or latte anywhere so I figured I'd try something different. So I get my drink and sit down and not ten minutes later, the barista was complaining about me to one of her friends who stopped into the store (apparently that barista can't stand when people don't know what they want). We don't have a CBTL in Tacoma, WA unless you are going through the SeaTac Airport. But all my favorites are still here including (drum roll please) iced earl gray tea latte. Its the best with the powder not that syrup stuff. Staff was friendly and also made several suggestion. They are also supporting teachers by collecting funds for "cup of coffee for a teacher" and that is totally awesome! Supporting teachers go CBTL AZ. The staff is still great here, unfortunately some changes to their teas and coffee extracts forces me to lower they're rating. The new coffee extract is much more bitter than it used to be and leaves an aftertaste with an astringent quality. Yes, I actually feel thirstier after drinking an extract infused drink. The company has also moved from whole leaf tea to cut leaf. The change has also resulted in a more bitter tea than before, more of a grass quality. Their constantly changing menus are intensely annoying also. Sad to say, if it wasn't for the great staff here - I'd probably just go to Starbucks for my quick fix coffee. read more

A nice alternative to Starbucks. Their Ice Blended drinks are really good, and you can get them with reduced sugar and fat free milk if you wish. They've also recently added a cookie mix in that adds a "cookies and cream" flavor to your cold blended drink. Their food selection has always been lacking, but to be fair, I've had some horrible baked goods from Starbucks recently too. So maybe their focus on a smaller selection isn't too bad. i live and love for this spot but the service i got today was enough to make me leave a review. there's usually the nicest woman there, i forgot her name, but she knows me and my friend are regulars. she wasn't there today. but when i placed my order i was very specific. and when i got my drink i handed it back and asked if they could put more of a certain flavor i couldn't taste. you'd think they'd do their job and wouldn't have a problem with it. but the blonde lady who handled my drink was talking crap about it to her co worker and how much she didn't want to remake the drink just because she didn't put a flavor i specifically asked for. i don't know her name, but she's blonde and slender. and very rude about remaking my drink. that shouldn't be happening. very upset. read more

One word...AMAZING!! My husband and I are coffee snobs and this place has some of the best coffee around! My husband usually sticks to the vanilla latte and I love the hazelnut latte as well as the new seasonal cookie butter latte! Usually do half hazelnut and half cookie butter! YUM!! Stopped in with my friend who lives in Chandler on a double daddy/daughter date. Really enjoyed a simple iced vanilla latte. There were plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor, although it's next to a busy road and shopping area so sitting outside isn't necessarily a peaceful experience. Everyone at this store is amazing! With everything going on I really appreciate the workers trying their best to keep themselves and everyone in the store safe by keeping up with their mask policy. I come into this store often and it's really sad to see people leaving rude comments about the staff that simply aren't true. Please stray from taking advice from people upset about mask policy (especially when workers are simply following rules) that attempt to tell you anything but good things abut this shop. I came in to coffee bean at 11am on 7/13/20, and I ordered my drink and they got the wrong drink 2 times because the employees were too busy talking to one of the employees boyfriend that was NOT wearing a mask and sitting on top of the counter which is so unsanitary. They ended up giving us a gift card rather than making our drink correctly. I ended up walking back in to order the correct drink and they STILL did not make it correctly. So I spent 10$ for nothing and waited over 45 minutes while they all messed around. This wAs ridiculous. Very unprofessional and unsanitary. I will not be going here again. read more

I love coming here on mornings before work. The atmosphere is so chill and inviting and the employees are always friendly. They can make basically any drink you want.
