My experience, which was getting a blended chocolate soy milk, was fine, and my drink was tasty. My vegan boyfriend, on the other hand, ended up mad and disappointed. He'd ordered a blended chai with coffee in it, all soy. The cashier said ok and put the order in. When his drink was called, he decided to double-check the soy content with the barista. Good call: turns out that while hot chai can be made dairy-free, blended chai can't. The cashier didn't tell my boyfriend that, just said ok, read back the order, and rang it up. I have only had their coffee this once. I didn't like it enough to continue cheating on Starbucks, but I wouldn't say that it was bad. I would love to tell you what I ordered... I can't remember. I went here to study on Sunday. A guy who was working at a register was really not competent at all. I ordered "iced white chocolate mocha" then he was asking "iced latte or iced blended mocha?" I used to work at coffeeshop myself so I was confused. When you are saying iced, this means "over the ice" not blended. Also it is not iced latte either because iced latte is usually means iced cafe latte. Again, i needed to repeat my order again. "I want iced white chocolate mocha not blended." After that he was asking same question. I was astonished. Then, i asked for easy ice then he was answering "our drinks usually pre-measured including ice" It really sounded like he wouldn't do that for me. Fortunately, a lady who was actually making drinks was very nice. But about that guy I was wondering if this was regular customer service standard for this store or not. I always go out of my way to stop by this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location on my way to work, even though my office is right next to a Starbucks. After the first couple of days of going here, multiple staff members knew my name and order! They even recommended little things to alter, like adding cinnamon to a Pumpkin Spice Ice Blended or half powder for a Pomegranate Blueberry Iced Tea Latte, and I'm always quite pleasantly surprised. Ordered delivery and the food i ordered came in an open unsealed bag. At all other coffee beans and coffee shops in general they will seal the bag closed with a staple or at least a sticker. I have loved going to this store for tea over many years. The baristas and managers are fun and I enjoy talking with them! But a few days back I had a horrible experience from shift supervisor, Vanessa van cleemput! Stay away from her because even though I bought an iced tea, I could not get a refill without a receipt!! Now I'm not sure about everyone else but I was never told I need to keep a receipt for one refill, the baristas often ask me if I want one but I always say no, I don't need more paper clutter! On the other-hand ,Vanessa is rude, smug and does not practice good customer service! When I went to her for a refill and a new order of tea and a pure vanilla she refused to refill my tea without paying full price!!! I told her and showed her my cup, lid and some ice inside...... plus I'm not asking for a fee one, I'm paying $1.00 for each refill!!!! What does she think? That I'm cheating? That I get cups out of the trash??? As I said before I love the teas at cbtl and all the stores offer a friendly welcome but Vanessa van cleepmput is the receipt enforcer! Beware of her power trip! Oh one more thing as I decided not to order my refill and two other drinks, she mocked us by saying " have a good night" with a wave and a smile on her face as we left the store!! Went there and the barista refused to ring in the drink the way I ordered it. She instead insisted that it be rung in a way which would cost more money. She said that that was there protocol even though it was more expensive than the way I asked her to ring it in. I contacted corporate and they never bothered responding to my email. When I walked in both staff were washing the counters and the machine with wet towel with out gloves I asked staff to wash her hand before taking my order since they were cleaning , she refused and stated I'm not serving you , I'm only charging .. While the other staff filled up my drinks and did not bother washing her hands .. I had to wipe my credit card from her wet dirty hands.. This is a nice place to come for a quick coffee or tea and get some work done. They have a reliable internet connection and stay open pretty late during the week. It's a bit smaller inside than some locations, however, there's more than enough space for you to spread put your books, tablets, laptops, etc. The staff has always been nice everytime I go in and pay attention to details so that your order is correct. My other issue is that people tend to hangout outside the entrance and smoke. It's an inconvenience having to walk through it in order to enter the store. read more

Like coming to this coffee bean when I'm in Glendale. Usually like grabbing my iced latte after shopping at the Americana. Nice staff and very efficient service. Starting to be my least favorite Coffee Bean. I cannot say enough about the staff. They are so nice. Layout inside not very good though. WiFi is worthless. Wish they would move the condiments cart in front of the coffee makers like I saw it done once. Not much seating inside but this would help. That corner by the trash is a wasted area. Parking plentiful and close (that is why this is my go to place) I find parking and walk in. Certain ethnic group has no respect for smoking laws in Glendale so you usually/aways get cig smoke at outside seating. read more

Delicious drinks my fav is the caramel blended extreme. Staff is friendly and quick for the most part. If you are planning on enjoying your beverage outside on the patio think again. There is a loud group that sits outside and smokes literally at all hours of the day. I can't express my dissatisfaction for this Coffee Bean enough. A group of my friends and I are in this area frequently - specifically between Wilson Ave. and California Ave. When Starbucks was open on Glendale and Wilson, we would alternate between Starbucks and Coffee Bean depending on how long of a coffee break we had (one takes longer to walk to than the other). Since Starbucks closed, we've been stuck with this Coffee Bean as our only option. Service - sucks. Coffee - sucks. Food/snacks - suck. Cleanliness - sucks. Prices - suck. It blows my mind how this place is still open. Their credit card readers are constantly broken. It always takes 10-15 minutes for a hot tea. Their hot coffee is served cold and they claim not to have a way to heat it. We decided to downgrade to the gas station at the corner of Glendale and Wilson but since doing so, it's turned out to be an upgrade compared to this Coffee Bean. read more

What I like a lot is their treats, but what I hate is how cramped it can get and all the smoking once you step outside. The only reason why I give this place 3 stars is because my iced hazelnut latte had a little too much hazelnut syrup in it which made it bitter. Seems like every time I come here, they are always training new hires so the line is always long because they don't know what buttons to push and/or they don't know how to make certain drinks.
