Not Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea

This was my first time at this location. I ordered a strawberry matcha with almond milk, and got this matcha filled drink. There's no strawberry and doesn't look like there is any almond milk. It tastes like straight up matcha powder and water. Disappointing.

Straight forward menu to order from. Staff is quick to take your order and make your beverage. It is usually empty during the evening.

98 degrees out and I was ready for a boba strawberry milk tea. Friendly and fast service with a small parking lot, close to GCC. Cost was $5 + tip for a regular size.

Service was horrible. No eye contact from the young lady or young man working at Boba Time across from GCC. The young lady standing up front never turned as I walked in with my child. Not one glance towards the entrance, not one word. The music was so loud, but I accepted the volume as I assumed the two employees were young adults . Without saying a word, the young man working in the back area walked to the counter and simply stood there. I was the first to say anything. I told the young man that I was there to pick up my drinks. I didn't finish my drink b/c it lacked the flavor profile I was expecting. My son said he felt the same. Overall, Poor customer service was provided by two young adults that shouldn't work with the public. Poor service + product preparation = lost customer. Visit occurred today 5/8 at 8:55pm (order pick up), receipt shown below.

Ordered mobile order today. Was greeted with nice staff who saw that my order would be out shortly. My order was ready within three minutes of me arriving and it was nice and hot and ready to go. The store is very cute. Looks like everything is fresh and well kept. Will definitely go back!!!

Super cute spot and so close to GCC campus. A great place to stop on the way to class. Everyone is super sweet and the boba is great!

It's BobaTime is not a place for high quality tea lovers, but they have great smoothies and a variety of milk tea flavors. They generally get their tea flavor from tea powders or syrups so it's not as good as brewed tea. However, I still appreciate their smoothies and milk teas. In particular, I think their mango, kale green, and pistachio frappe smoothies are really tasty. This time I chose to go with a mango smoothie with boba. At this particular location, the drink felt a little watered down - not as thick and creamy - but it was still pretty good.

If you are NEARBY and crave it, GO FOR IT. If you have option to go elsewhere, do so. Overall is 2.8 rating 2 This place is small so during after school hours. around 2pm to 5pm, oh dear... help! Slow service turnaround, LOUD kids (bless them), just too crowded, barely able to sit down on the benches since it will be occupied with the kiddos. 2 I ordered online today, the app said that my drinks will be ready the most at 4:08pm (I ordered around 3:50pm) around 18 minutes - and now it's 4:30pm and they still haven't done it - already 33 minutes!! I initially gave them 3 stars, but now realizing I've been waiting 33 minutes, sorry I had to take another star down for this waiting time. 3 Service. I encountered one cashier that has low energy. Not excited to greet. Answer questions in a flat tone. She probably had a rough day, but a frontline staff can't have that attitude unfortunately. 4 For the drink taste and quality. They are pretty good and they make the drinks consistently same taste. Just very unfortunate that the other factors made me not wanting to return unless I don't have option. 3 They have 3 space at the back of the building, You can park on the side as well but it gets full easily. You need to find it somewhere nearby.

New boba spot in town!

Yay! So glad a boba place finally opened close to my brother's house! Location is pretty good. Small interior but a good amount of outdoor seating! This was the soft opening so they were still figuring out the kinks, but overall everything turned out good. I had a lavendar milk tea and a rose macaron! Both were yummy! Milk tea texture is nice and they actually put light boba when I asked them to. Overall a nice new boba spot that I'll definitely be going to again! Stay Cheerful ;)

I've tried many boba places in OC (the supposed "boba Mecca") and so far I really enjoy this one! I love that we can tailor the wetness and replace milk with healthier options. And on their good days the boba is warm and soft and fresh So far I like -match rose boba -taro milk boba -Thai Tea -* with almond milk, boba, and egg pudding at the lowest sweet level. 9.5/10

I try to eat healthy, so having ice cream isn't something I do often, but after my first sample I knew I wouldn't be able to hold back. I ordered a double scoop and got one of the Orange Creamsicle and one of Nut Your Average Scoop. Both were delicious, but the Orange Creamsicle was my favorite. It was a refreshing take on the classic flavor. I especially loved the bits of orange zest sprinkled throughout. It only took one visit for me to become a fan of Moo Moo Mia and I can't wait to visit again!

The Jacksons... You win free ice cream on me if you recognize the pattern. Yes, that's right: these are all siblings who have seamlessly worked together in their respective fields. I raise the list to include Mia and Mark Pedersen - the brother and sister team behind the ice creamery Moo Moo Mia with locations in both Montrose and Monrovia. You won't find Mia and Mark bickering or partaking in sibling rivalry; but you WILL find them creating quality, home made ice cream for Angelinos. Mark and Mia made their way from Denmark to Los Angeles in 2009 initially working in a Danish franchise despite both having a background in ice cream-making. When Covid hit in 2020 with its path of destruction to so many businesses; Mark and Mia decided they should cut their losses and create their own company that they can rely on their decision-making and thus Moo Moo Mia was born. Moo Moo Mia strives to produce Grade-A ice cream using crème de la crème ingredients such as milk from Scott Brother Dairy cows (another sibling company where cows roam free on 900 acres and are hormone free producing sensational milk) and offer unique flavor combinations. After a recent poor gelato experience at another LA business; my boyfriend and I decided to reward ourselves with ice cream from Moo Moo Mia on Honolulu in Montrose (this was our second time at this location). Nestled in the charming central Montrose corridor; Moo Moo Mia welcomes with a pastel color wheel façade/signage and a small square footage ice cream shop. When I say 'small'; I genuinely mean small as Moo Moo Mia is tiny with a display case/order counter and a claustrophobic standing room space with a few loose tables outside. This is definitely an "order and get out" establishment. Due to this congestion, Moo Moo Mia felt a bit hectic on both of our visits which always makes one feel guilty to ask for samples in order to not hold up the line. The flavor options at Moo Moo Mia aren't super extensive (there isn't that much to choose from) BUT there do have those unique combinations Mia and Mark boast of with pride. I have sampled a few flavors at Moo Moo Mia such as Honey Lavender (Sweet cream ice cream layered with delicate ribbons of lavender and finished with a touch of raw organic honey - so good with perfect lavender notes!), March flavor of ice cream with Luck Charms marshmallows and Sweet Taro. On our second visit, my boyfriend kept it simple with a single cone ($5.50) of Madagascar Vanilla Bean (Made with imported ground Madagascar vanilla beans) and a kid's cup ($4.25) of March's monthly flavor Coconut Ube for me. Mark and Mia aren't exaggerating about Moo Moo Mia's ice cream as it truly is quite good: creamy, thick and not overly sweet; the texture is perfection. The Honey Lavender holds my heart but the Coconut Ube was also delicious although it tasted of 95% ube with a small 5% after taste of coconut water. Good thing I like Ube! My boyfriend's vanilla was, in his words, "The best vanilla!" and I agree that Moo Moo Mia truly elevates a basic flavor making it extra special. The consensus is that the ice cream is wonderful, no doubt. The customer service at Moo Moo Mia leaves a lot to be desired, however. During both visits the associates were very dry, somewhat curt - although not rude, per se - and are literally only there to get the job done and that's it. Even though this isn't too terrible; it prevents Moo Moo Mia from being a perfect experience. Moo Moo Mia is a delicious and quality option for an ice cream treat that you can truly taste but the lack of numerous flavor options, the teen-tiny shop and the customer service are flaws that keep it from being exceptional. Despite this, Moo Moo Mia is recommended for all ice cream lovers - whether you have a sibling or not!

Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

It tasted more like an Asian roll cake. Not too sweet but I didn't taste much sea salt. Plus- clean restroom available for customers Parking: street parking or lots around. The closest parking garage is on De Lacey next to the miniso.

Just a couple tables and chairs outside. They weren't super busy at the time. I was the only person in line. This is my 2nd time trying Bruster's. My first time was at their Rancho Cucamonga location. Nick, the staff member who helped me, was very nice and helpful. I asked for recommendations on their best flavors. He graciously offered them. Thank you Nick! I got to sample a handful of flavors... Boston Cream Pie, Sea Salt Caramel, Death By Chocolate, Caramel Macchiato, and Cinnamon. Thanks for the samples! All the flavors were very good except for the Cinnamon which I thought was very light in taste. Since I was driving, I chose an ice cream shake instead of a cup or cone. Caramel Macchiato was my pick! It had a really nice caramel flavor with coffee bean bits. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't pile up the ice cream to the top of the lid. It stopped at the top of the cup. I felt I was shorted some ice cream unfortunately. Hence, 4 stars! Nevertheless, Nick was amazing. His service was fantastic. Wonderful conversation and experience. Ice cream shake was yummy. It was finished before I arrived home. YES, I will come back to try their other unique flavors! Thank you Bruster's!

Her mother texted asking if we could bring pastries. It was after 6 p.m., so I turned to trusty Yelp to see what might still be open between Montrose and our destination. This bakery came up, so we stopped in to give it a try. One gentleman was minding both the bakery and the liquor store next door. It wasn't that busy at either place, but he did have to run between the two. He let us know that he'd be right with us, so we had time to look around. The baked goods cases were about half full at 7:00 at night. The man helping us didn't really know anything about the fillings of some of the items that weren't self-explanatory. He got our selections packed up nicely, but it would have been helpful to be able to get more info about some of the cakes/pastries. SG (age 5) boldly chose a cream puff for herself. I wasn't sure if she would like it, but once we got to her house she happily scarfed down half of it, saving the other half for the next day. Dear Hubby and I picked several layers cake pieces, and I added two chocolate-filled cookies. He went for a cannoli, of which they had several options of fillings. I think our daughter and son-in-law made out the best, as we weren't sure what they would like so we got them some Black & White cake, honey cake, espresso cake, and some of the chocolate-filled cookies. It was a dessert-tasting feast to wind up the weekend when we arrived at their place.
