I'm very disappointed with this Coffee Bean location. I walked in before the posted closing time, but I couldn't order the drink I wanted because the machine had already been cleaned. This is not the first time this has happened. If the store is advertised as being open until a certain time, customers should be able to order from the full menu until then. Cleaning equipment before closing and limiting what customers can order is frustrating and defeats the purpose of having posted business hours. I hope management addresses this issue and ensures the store remains fully operational until its advertised closing time. read more

A spot I've been attending since I was a little girl. This place still maintains its homey aesthetic with nice wood panels & ambient lighting. Most of the time there is parking in the lot unless you come during a rush hour. Drinks are always served on time & presentable. My personal favorites are the hazelnut iced latte, lemon chamomile latte, & the matcha frappe. It's a nice spot to grab a drink & chit chat with family or friends. This place is also located in from the of the LA county park that has a small lake with duckies. Overall, a nice spot for a cafe & vibes. read more

This location is close to home so I do go often. Not everyday but at least 3 or 4x a week. I usually do mobile order which works great for me. The place was recently remodeled looks good BUT it looked great before, it felt cozy. The service is great depends who is there. They do have a restroom which requires a code to enter & there is plenty of parking. read more

Went at 10? On a Saturday and there weren't too many people but they sure had a lot of mobile orders. Still, my wait wasn't too long. I ordered my drink and was pretty much in and out of the place in 10-15 mins. The lobby looked well kept and clean. Their merchandise shelves were well stocked. The only thing that I didn't like was how much milk they put into my Americano lol I asked for a splash and it was more like a latte so my drink tasted a bit more mild then I would've liked. Great service and even better vibes! This Coffee Bean is my local spot and I've been coming here for years but today's visit really stood out. Kevin was the barista helping my family and I, and he was honestly such a bright light. Even though it wasn't super busy, he still took initiative to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. He greeted us with warmth, engaged with all of us like real people (not just customers), and had us laughing throughout the interaction. It's rare to find someone who brings both genuine kindness and humor to their job so effortlessly. It definitely made our visit feel more personal and positive. Shoutout to him for making a regular stop feel like something special. Gold star from me Their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich is absolutely delicious (seriously, I'm still thinking about it). The store itself was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated how neatly all the merchandise was organized. I accidentally posted a review in a different store than the location I went to. Generally coffee here is decent.

I normally don't post reviews but the past few times the service has not been great! Mind you I am a regular go about once a week sometimes twice some weeks. During the month maybe we go 3-4 times. Some of the baristas are friendly and say hi and remember you, but the past two drinks they made me were either way too sweet, or not as described. I ordered a matcha horchata last week and it tasted only like horchata and no matcha. Last time I didn't like my drink and even asked if they can fix it, I got an iced coffee the week before and the barista refused and only gave me one more pump. Even tho we had paid for the durum already. Idk about you but if I have a customer who comes frequently and returns who treat them with kindness, friendly service and if they say they don't like their drink happily say ok how can I fix it and not push back. I was not being rude I just said hey this does not taste like she added any syrup can you add a little more. Idk I just find this place disappointing the last few times despite us being frequent customer they don't treat us with respect or kindness. Just another order. Honestly when we have done mobile ordering they have done a better job. I feel like some of the staff is rude and disrespectful and needs better training if you work in a customer service at less try to be friendly. And if someone did not like their order it should not be that much of a hassle to replace a 5 dollar drink. The company can take a 5 dollar loss I mean at Starbucks if you don't like it they will remake it or change it but coffee bean here is very rude. If the order was made wrong it should not be the customers fault for an employees mistake a matcha latte should not look white more greenish. But mine was white. I should have just went down the street to a taco place and got better legit horchata if that was given me and not a matcha horchata. I honestly didn't even bother saying anything bc the last time she gave me attitude and that really annoyed me. We introduced my cousins to this coffee spot as they've never tried it before. I don't know if they have locations in Santa Maria, but they said they liked the coffee. This location needs a cleanse of employees. The women this morning were ALL bitter and in horrible moods. I got an email from coffee beans claiming 50% off my drink and I showed it to the employee. She said well it's not on the app so I can't give you that discount. I legit had her read my email from coffee bean and she was confused and still did not give me the discount. Then I received the wrong drink, I told the girl to please remake it and she tried telling me "you ordered that one and it comes with no milk" I told her no, I ordered the dry americano with milk, the girl at the register clearly took my order wrong" She remakes it with mega attitude and placed the remade drink with anger on the counter. This Coffee Bean always getting busy in the morning because the East L.A. Courthouse is just a block away including the public library and the Gold line. Okay, so hear me out. I was on my way to a baby shower and forgot this place existed. I have to say that this particular location is adorable! The decor and playlist took me back to 2006. The playlist is giving "The Hills" "The OC" "Hollister" vibes. It reminded me so much of being in high school and hanging out with my friends before going to the mall. I really have to say that I want to come back as soon as possible, the autumnal menu is massive! I got the "Pumkin Cold Brew" and my boyfriend got the "Extreme Pumpkin iced Blended" both were SO FREAKIN GOOD. We also got a pumpkin donut but I inhaled it. Stopped here early in the morning to pick up coffee. Decided to try the large horchata latte. Placed the order at the register and barista went on to making my order. A few mins later my drink was ready .. barista was very thoughtful and even asked if I wanted a stopper. I didn't even realize I could get a stopper, so that helps keep the coffee from spilling out when driving. The horchata latte was pretty good. I like the strong coffee flavor compared to drinks from other places. This place is located in a plaza with a few other shops. There are indoor and outdoor seating, which seems nice and relaxing. I ordered a hot tiramisu latte and an ice layered matcha for the 2 for $10 on the app. Both drinks are good on its own, but mixed some of the warm tiramisu latte with the layered matcha to make it into one drink. It's best to pour the warm latte into the cold drink because it makes the iced drink more foamy and creamy. Basically matcha, vanilla bean, tiramisu, and espresso with oat. Both drinks are seasonal so you gotta try out my method before it's gone! read more

I've given this Coffee Bean location multiple chances, hoping things would improve, but every single time I've visited, the customer service has been consistently rude and dismissive. The staff roll their eyes, act bothered when taking an order, and don't show the slightest bit of kindness or professionalism. On top of that, the drinks are often poorly made, which just adds to the frustration. I usually try to be understanding, but it's happened too many times for this to be a one-off bad day. I don't know what the issue is, but it's extremely disappointing to walk into a coffee shop and feel like an inconvenience instead of a valued customer. I work in the service industry myself, so I fully understand that things can get stressful and overwhelming. But it doesn't take much to show a minimum level of kindness and human decency. A simple smile, a polite tone, or even neutral professionalism goes a long way. Unfortunately, that has not been the case here. I really wanted to like this location, but the lack of respect and care for customers has made it impossible. Updated review: We still come to this Coffee Bean for meetings on occasion, but I've had to knock off a star. I ordered the chai tea latte, and found it to be extremely watered down. The tea flavor was not strong enough and I wouldn't recommend it. It was also a little too sweet. Also, JJ ordered a regular hot latte, and he didn't really care for it either. The coffee flavor wasn't strong enough... it was also too watered down. Additionally, he asked for a cup of ice, and they charged him 25 cents for the ice. The interior ambience is still nice, and the service was fine, We would still visit this Coffee Bean for a meeting, if need be. But our preference would be to select another coffee spot. read more
