I love Coffee Bean, and this location is no exception. The employees are generally friendly, and the drive-thru wait usually isn't long. Prices are what you'd expect, drink selection is great, and the special drink menu rotates frequently. I tend to order iced coffee variations, but also like their white chocolate mocha and matcha. I've only tried a few pastries - if you need a snack, these will definitely suffice, though if you're a bit hungry I would pass on the food. I've been a loyal customer pretty much since this store first opened. The past couple of days have been a turn for disasters. I usually go to get my orders through the drive thru when i need a fix of coffee, but it just seems nowadays the line takes around 30 minutes for my darn coffee which is so unusual. It just seems their turnover rate is highly atrocious which means there is something wrong management is doing. On top of that 30 minute wait, they still keep getting my drinks wrong even though i repeat it to them twice at the speaker box. How incompetent of them. Might as well take my business to Better buzz or Starbucks down the road. Please train your employees better. The customer service has gone down big time. read more

I came in to get a 32oz vanilla bean ice coffee half ice, it was kind of to bitter for me so I asked Ximena if she could add more vanilla in, but she said if she did it would clump up and ask if I would like her to re-make it so I said yes. We recently made "the switch" and we are loving it! I stopped by today for an Americano and was told it was free, I am a rewards member and like that, I don't have to know anything or play any games to get a reward. Today, I sat and took note of how many people they had working behind the counter and how none of them stood around, they were moving to get the orders done quickly. It was amazing to watch. We have also found new drinks so there is variety and they have healthy options too. My favorite is the Americano (hot or iced), the espresso has a perfect taste without the aftertaste like the other place (S$) we used to go to. I have also enjoyed the Iced green tea drinks, they are amazing. The family loves the "Ice blended" drinks, my wife adds extra shots to hers. :) This location is not close to us, but it is worth the trip. The mango sunrise iced blended was alright. It was too sweet for me and tasted more like a sugary syrup. My favorites are the iced blended matcha and iced blended caramel. I have really been looking forward to this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location opening and have been trying so hard to really love the place, but sadly they aren't making it easy. The employees are extremely friendly, however the issue so often is being out of product, whether it is some type of vanilla syrup that is needed for many drinks, Cold Brew or some other items. Coffee bean for one is my go to place and always has been for coffee or teas. Everyone that works there is always nice, polite, and professional. However, I recently went and got the opposite experience with the drive thru ladies that were on duty from 4:30-5:15pm. I ordered a coffee and a yogurt and The little girl made jokes over the speaker when I ordered the yogurt and kept saying "Yo yo yo yogurt" and she started laughing and you can hear the other employees In the back laughing. That was Very immature for a work place. Also, when I get to the window she only hands the yogurt and forgets about my coffee. I would have given a five star but for the past month or so, orders have been filled with discrepancies. As a former manager, I understand that mistakes happen, but this has been an ongoing occurrence. A person going to work doesn't have time to make another lengthy wait in the drive thru to get an order corrected especially when most establishments are shut down during CV-19. I started going to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Menifee because it's a little less crowded than Starbucks and they have some lounging chairs. That was my draw, but here we are months later and I'm pretty disappointed. They have patio seating which actually is nice, but inside the tables are super small, except for the long one with plugs. It is nice to be able to plug in but it's still a pretty small table if you have your computer and other people are sitting there. There are 8 lounging chairs that are pretty tightly packed together and small tables between them. The last time I was there I sat in one of those chairs, I had to climb over someone and the little table and the woman behind me and I were bumping each other's chair. There was a service dog with the man across from me and the dog couldn't comfortably sit or get up. If you use those chairs you can not plug in. The other tables are for two and they are incredibly tiny. If you are working it's like setting up on a tv tray. Better just to sit and drink your coffee with a friend. No music. Though the music at Starbucks can be loud and bothersome, I enjoy a coffee shop vibe so, a little music please. They have two bathrooms, right in the middle of the restaurant behind a "wall." Kind of weird but okay. Lots of stuff for sale: mugs, teas, cups, snacks. Their food choices are slim. They have instant oatmeal, pastries (donuts, croissants, bagels etc). They are okay. I've tried a muffin, bagel, and the oatmeal. BTW, they charge for cream cheese. Drinks: Chai Tea Latte - If you enjoy the zing of a Starbucks Chai you will be disappointed. This Chai is weak and watery. Blended Latte - Okay, very dessert-like, but again, very watery. It seemed that the ice to drink ratio was waaay off. Hot Tea - Volcanic Lava HOT!!! It took a LOOOOOONG time to cool enough to comfortably consume. If you order a large it's too much water for the tea bag. Iced Tea - Watery. Hot Coffee... This was my last purchase there. I ordered a large coffee with steamed oat milk, sweetened with Vanilla. Ha... the barista, without asking me, upgraded me to a latte at almost twice the price, plus the oat milk is $1!!!! What?! My $3 coffee is now $6!!! "Did you really just decide for me I want a latte?" Your coffee is already weak, I don't want an espresso shot and a cup of hot milk. A coffee and a latte are two different things. No, Sir! He tells me that I must pay for the coffee plus the milk plus the sweetener...I told him give me a coffee with steamed soy and I would sweeten it myself, oatmeal and a bagel. Here's the thing, I pay and I'm not offered a receipt. I don't know what I paid for. I wait for the coffee and the barista who makes it is different from the guy who took the order but she calls out a coffee with steamed oat milk. She double checks with him and yes, this is mine. Hunh? So did they trick me now into paying for oatmilk or did the barista get it wrong? I'm pretty frustrated at this point and I know that if I have to talk about this some more I'm probably on the edge of unkindness so I keep my mouth shut. On the sweetener bar I find vanilla powder and liquid sugar. I'm good. I sweetened my coffee to my liking. Here's the thing with me, I like Starbucks coffee. I like It's a Grind coffee. I even like Dunkin Donuts coffee. I am having a problem with the weak, watered down drinks and shady service at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. They are nice enough but I feel like on my last visit I was being bamboozled. I know what I want to order, to upsell me without that conversation is wrong. To assume that all of your drinks are interchangeable based on what you want to sell me is wrong - Brewed coffee, a latte, a cappuccino, a flat white, an americano are all different things. The baristas here probably need a little coffee-ed. $1 for a little milk is wrong. They have slim pickin's on breakfast. No refills. I like the sweetening bar and I like the patio seating. But there are too many other, local options where I can get what I order. I don't like feeling cheated and that will turn me away quicker than anything else.
