The bathroom was filthy and run down. Trash everywhere, on the floors and overflowing from the trash can. Old pee on the toilet. I couldn't even figure out how to lock the door because the instructions were worn off, someone walked in on me. Tables on the outside are scattered around everywhere, all lop sided. I tried the Peach Jasmine Cold Brew Tea from here and it was decent. I needed this because it was a hot day. The drink was sweet and refreshing, but I do wish it was mixed well since the bottom of the drink was super sweet while the top was on the bitter side. Slight dry notes and the peach flavor did taste a bit artificial. Not bad for around $5 for a medium size though. The interior was pretty spacious for a Coffee Bean Tea & Leaf with ample tables and seating. There was a good amount of outlets and wifi which makes this a solid spot for studying/getting work done. Coffee Bean is located on a corner in the heart of the area--and it's definitely not the place to go for quiet reflection. I've visited at various times--early mornings, midday, and weekends--and it's always full, with people constantly coming and going. Many stop in to share ideas, some to relax with a cup of coffee, and others to work or study on their laptops. There is indoor seating available, but good luck finding an open spot. The outdoor seating area, however, is spacious and enjoyable if you can grab a table. This truly feels like a classic coffee house: lively, energetic, and always busy. The staff is fast and efficient, often greeting regulars by name. The quality of the drinks is consistently great, and the seating areas are well-maintained and clean. I've never had an issue with mobile orders--they're always accurate and clearly labeled. Parking can be a challenge, depending on when you go. Sundays are particularly difficult due to the nearby farmers market. On typical weekdays and weekends, it's more manageable. There is a small adjacent parking lot, as well as another nearby lot owned by Chase--do not park there, as it's monitored by security. Came in on Saturday morning for a Labor Day weekend promotion they had which is a large beverage for $5. I ordered the iced pumpkin spiced latte and the app made me reload my gift card and wouldn't allow me to utilize two payment methods so that was frustrating. We were here yesterday around 11:00 am. I ordered a Avocado Toast & a Milk Tea without Boba. Ordering took a while, but as soon as I stepped up to the counter, a long line appeared behind me. The young woman taking my order was polite; beyond that; my experience was a HUGE disappointment. As I was waiting at the side counter for my drink & toast, the Supervisor was there working and I asked her to have my toast cut in half, she responded affirmatively. When I got my toast it was in a to-go box (which I did not ask for- so this was a huge waste of resources)... My toast was not cut in half; which prompted me to go back up and ask her to have it cut in half a second time: Her response was rude: "I told the girl, but we're...." She left the word BUSY unsaid, but I knew what she wanted to say! She then said, "I'll get you a knife" walked over & brought me a plastic knife and spoon... Seriously? What would it have taken her, the supervisor" to be decent and cut the toast in half as I ordered it? Why waste a plastic knife & spoon (which I still can't figure out). I just walked away after telling her that a plastic knife really wasn't going to cut the toast! As for my Milk Tea: $6.95 for a medium, watered down cup of tea, that in no way tasted like tea? Nice big bathrooms that require the code. Located on the corner of a busy shopping street, very easy to get into and out of with two doors. The customer service is nice. Coffee is way more affordable than Starbucks. They also have other stuff like warm foods and bakery. Plenty of seating with a window view to people watch. read more

We come here super often as it is pretty near our house and the service and drinks never disappoint. The interior, customer service and drinks themselves are all wonderful. The interior of the story is spacious and there are many tables to sit at. They have opened interior seating now, after COVID and it is not very crowded here, unlike the Starbucks across the road. Their cafe is much bigger than Starbucks and I love that about this Coffee Bean. The drinks are all super good, some of the ones that I recommend are the two Ice Blended drinks attached in the photos. The Oreo one is better in my opinion and the one with coffee in it is even better, balancing out the sweetness with the more bitter coffee. Their fruit teas are kinda syrupy though, so it just depends on if you like that or not. Customer service here is great, and we often come here on hot days if we were at the farmers market, to sit in the AC and get a cup of ice water. I have not been in a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in some time. On 12/14/23 I was having my tires checked out down the street and decided to treat myself ( and catch up on my reviews). The Montrose location can get packed and loud but today was not one of those days. I was welcomed by the cashier as I walked in, so you know it was a quiet afternoon. I ordered a Tropical Passion iced tea and inquired if they offered a larger size than Regular. Indeed they have 2 larger sizes: a 22 oz. and a 32 oz. I went with the 32 oz and a Lemon Loaf, which CB&T has had on their menu for years. The barista asked if I wanted it heated, (which is the best way to savor the tart taste). The Montrose CB was marvelously clean as well. I would have liked to have a napkin or two tucked in with my bread, but there may be a new county or state ordinance requiring the customer to ask. I know straws need to be requested at many places. At the corner of Honolulu and Ocean View, Starbucks and The Coffee Bean are across from each other. I don't have my debit card so I literally couldn't get coffee because I have cash... You're telling me that you have been open for hours but don't have any change? Ridiculous. I'd give no stars if I could. Are the employees lazy or incompetent? Can they not make change because they don't want to or don't know how to? I'm a huge fan of their coffee, nothing fancy for me just an Americano. I went recently with a friend; we both ordered the avocado toast, and my friend ordered a foo-foo coffee. We both were extremely disappointed in the avocado toast, while the sourdough was delicious, the "avocado" tasted like a cheap spread from the grocery store that had chilis sprinkled on it, was that to hide the not good taste of the spread? Every place else I've had avocado toast it was real avocado, not a spread. I cannot recommend the avocado toast, but have an Americano, it is delicious. They even have outdoor seating with nice cushioned chairs and you can watch the people walking by. This place has a pretty big parking lot which is shared with multiple businesses. Be mindful of the green parking spots and reserved for Kabob Daddy pick up. I have tried the cold brew and the cookies and cream. The cookies and cream is delicious.
