Arrived at 8:15. Young man chewing gum and wearing a beanie seemed to be annoyed there were people waiting to order. I ordered and waited for my drink. When my drink was ready I sat in the lobby. I also had a slice of walnut loaf. Looking around the store I could not find any napkins. So I went to the beanie wearing worker and asked for some napkins. His contemptuous look and action of tossing the napkins on the couter in my direction has turned me off from this store. Very poor customer service. read more

Came in yesterday to pick up a mobile order and was treated very rudely and interrupted repeatedly for a non issue. One of the drinks was super light and just tasted like watery milk when it was supposed to be a Hazelnut Latte with Oatmilk and Half Sweet. I've never had those be so light and watery, not even at this location. So my cousin went in to get it fixed, and he had repeated the order a bit wrong so we went in again to just get a shot of espresso which is all it needed really. Immediately, the older short lady with glasses and a long black ponytail ran to the register when we were being helped by a girl with short shaved colorful hair and glasses. She seemed upset and interrupted us talking to the cashier with "Is that the drink I just remade? Okay so what is it this time." With a sarcastic laugh. We told her what was wrong, and instead of letting us finish, she said "Okay so next time he needs to order the drink correctly or else we can't make it for you the way that you want." Which is confusing and rude, considering it's a drink we paid for AND it was already wrongly made the moment we picked it up as a MOBILE ORDER which shows exactly how we wanted it done. So there should've been no confusion. And that wasn't even the issue, it was the fact that it was completely wrong when we had barely picked it up, anything after that is understandable but they gave so much attitude that it was more confusing than aggravating. So we said "Well if it was made right the first time then we wouldn't have had to come in and everything would've been fine" as retaliation because we were met with so much rudeness and interruption instead of just hearing us out for 5 seconds. And afterwards when the drink was "remade" (It tasted the exact same, unless the people working today were just bad at making drinks because we don't have this issue ever at this location, and usually all the drinks are really good), the short older one said "If you don't like it this time then I'm just going to issue a refund" as if WE were the problem, and it wasn't the fact that the baristas maybe just didn't know what they were doing... Overall bad experience but I'm still coming over here because the Dark Chocolate Blended Drinks are always really good so what can you do lol read more

Not a terrible experience, but not a good one either. I decided to have a cappuccino today, and neither the service nor the coffee were very good. Although they couldn't accommodate my request for a medium roast to be used and not the "espresso roast" (whatever that means), I'll let that go. The problems really started when they didn't even call out my name (which they asked me for earlier) when the drink was ready. So I ended up with a lukewarm cappuccino once I could finally hear the *drink* name across half of the busy store. OK. I'll let that go too. But then the problems continued when I got the coffee in a paper cup that was way too big for a proper cappuccino, and without a spoon either. So I had to settle for stirring the cappuccino with the only tool I could find in the store, a straw... I wish I could say the coffee made up for the earlier minor mistakes. But sadly, it didn't. They didn't even get the foam right. Instead of a small layer of creamy foam like I expect of any good capp, it was something you only get from an amateur barista. Way too much foam and monster-sized bubbles (not creamy small ones). Honestly, I'm not too keen on coming back. :/ The service issues were nothing major, but the coffee was just too much of a disappointment. read more

I'm from the Midwest and this used to be my favorite place for coffee. Tried this place a few times and received lukewarm coffee (mocha) more than once. On my final trip i was advised to expect the mocha to not be hot because of the chocolate and that breakfast items are not heated unless its requested. Its was made very clear that my request to heat each item was not welcomed. The app doesn't allow you to request these things btw. Unfortunately, this place is severely lacking in basic customer service skills. Three visits and greeted each time with (snide) apathetic service. If it's a iced tea that you're looking for, this would be a great spot to choose. The staff here is friendly and customer service is what they're about. Their menu items are typical, so you can't go wrong with choosing something that you love and what you expect to find in a coffee shop. I always choose their passion fruit tea which is dynamite and always quenches my thirst. The location makes it pretty convenient right off the freeway. Make sure to download their mobile app so you can earn points on your drinks. What I have always found funny about this establishment, they always ask if it's "to-go" or will you be sitting here. Coffee Beans are few and far between in most of the IE. But always when we pass through Redlands we make a stop here. This is our early morning treat for every road trip east. Never disappointed here. The outside patio is definitely a draw. It is an easy off and back on for the 215 freeway and is a close, friendly neighbor to Trader Joe's, just in case we need something to nibble. read more

I thought it would be cool to grab a drink here considering I grew up in the area and went to high school down the street a long time ago. What a horrible decision. I was pretty sure I wrote a review on this location but I guess not. I love this location: close to the freeway, close to other places to eat, and has a good amount of tables/seating. I have been here multiple times (more than 20 times) to study and have never had a bad experience that I can think of. I have learned they can blast the AC so I always have a hoodie with me and sweat pants because I get cold easily. Employees are always friendly and nice. Coffee Bean in general has better quality and tasting coffee than any fast food coffee or Starbucks. Get a grande Americano at Starbucks and a regular Americano at Coffee Bean and try it side by side. You can see the difference: CB tastes better, stronger because you get 1 espresso shot more, and it is cheaper in price. Since I moved away from this location, I was sad to miss it. Good thing is the quality is fairly consistent no matter which CB location you go to. read more

I came here figuring I could try a different location out, the location looks really nice on the outside and inside. However the customer service wasn't what I was expecting. You normally become regular goers of a cafe because of the service your experience, judging by the reviews maybe it was just a one time thing. However I didn't receive any time of friendly customer service from this location. There was no greeting, the cashier looked as if she was over it, and so I even ended up asking how she was doing to which I got a short and unfriendly response. The barista never called the names of the cups he was giving out and just left them on the counter, and as soon as I asked he'd given me attitude about what the name was on the cup. I love coffee bean & tea. They have delicious teas and lattes. The staff at this location are always so friendly and willing to change a drink just the way you like it. It's fairly quiet here. It is always cold inside. So be sure to bring a sweater if you're going to study. They will also use glass mugs if you're staying. Just make sure to let them know. read more

The service here has greatly improved in the past year. The ambiance is nice. Always clean and the food is fresh. I enjoy a baked croissant or lemon loaf every now and then. The loaf never disappoints. The management seems to do her best to make the atmosphere comfortable for everyone.
