In constant search of a new coffee work space, I happened upon this venue.The blended chai latte is beyond imagination delicious! If you are lucky enough to catch a cushiony seat on the sides - stay put and enjoy yourself. If you come with a crowd to study, you're also in luck as they have a very large wooden table in the center that easily sits 6-8 people. They do play music, so if that distracts you easily, bring earplugs, or listen to your own music. Plenty of outlets to go around, unless you're outside... And the wi-fi is very reliable. Coming back? I love the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf - amazing aromas, friendly staff, and ugh. Such fantastic product, always. Today, however, they gave me pause (in a good way!). At the register, you had the options to purchase a pound of coffee that would be sent to a soldier, or to donate a little, I'm assuming in light of the 4th. I just wanted to say that I think this is a fantastic way to send a kind word to another person. It doesn't matter your politics - this isn't about that. So. Hats off to you, CB&TL. Its a franchise- so you either love it or hate it. But, this location serves it well. Drinks: My go-to is the basic Iced Vanilla Latte. Can't really go wrong here - usually pretty consistent. Prices are expensive for coffee but pretty subpar with normal coffeeshop rates aka $4 drinks. Ambience: Its clean, quiet and has a friendly staff. That plus ample tables and outlets and you got the perfect study spot in Redlands. Both outdoor and indoor seating available and reliable Wi-Fi. The location layout is very smooth and similar to fancy coffeeshops you see on TV. Since I go here a couple times a week, I've finally decided to write a review on my favorite coffee shop. I really love this location because of its chill environment, friendly staff, and consistent quality in their drinks. I am a big iced coffee person, independent of what time of the year it is, and I think that the coffee served here is much better than that served at Starbucks. The service is also much quicker and the lines are shorter and move a lot faster. During their non-busy hours, this place is perfect for studying and I think that it isn't as loud as some other coffee shops and has plenty of seating. Some really good drinks that I would recommend here are their matcha lattes, cafe lattes, peppermint vanilla lattes, and most of their ice blended drinks. read more

Considering there aren't many CBTLs in the IE, I always go there to study or if I'm in the mood for a tea latte. On a hot day, I'll usually get an iced hazelnut latte or an ice blended white chocolate. If it's super cold, I'll order the earl grey latte with hazelnut, hazelnut latte, or the moroccan mint latte. Seriously, CBTL has THE BEST tea lattes. The baristas are extremely friendly and polite, which is one of the reasons I love getting my tea lattes/coffees there. Not going to lie, I went a few times just to see if a certain guy employee would be working that day. Not creepy at all. But really, they're all great. read more

I was not sure what I wanted and I had three different workers describe different drinks and sandwiches to make my choice easier. This cute joint in Redlands has a great little patio and plenty of seating inside. It's my go-to joint when I'm in town. The staff is really nice -- and they have free Wifi (for 2 hours before they make you take a 10 minute break to "join the real world). Mostly, I assume, they want to make sure you don't just park and ride all day. To get online, though, you need a 5-digit access code -- which is on the television in the front of the store (very little numbers). I've met a few people as they (and, let's be honest, me) have tried to find the code on the TV :) Other than that, a great little joint in this suburb. read more

This is the closest CBTL for miles (I think the next closest is either Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, or Fontana). That being said, this CBTL does a great job representing the area and caring for its customers who crave CBTL. Parking is readily available as it is a part of a shopping complex. The interior is clean with multiple tables spanning the walls of the coffee shop. The staff is really nice and helpful in taking and preparing your order. They even give you suggestions if you ask them. Their drinks are made with the quality that you would expect from CBTL. The only caveat is that since it is the only CBTL in the area, it can get pretty crowded in the morning and after work hours. But all in all, CBTL is a fine place for a coffee-pick-me-up. read more

I like this place better than the Starbucks across the street and I study here whenever I can. The free WiFi is the best, but I really like their coffees too. The people I've encountered aren't overly friendly, but it's better than the jarring fake cheerfulness of a lot of Starbucks employees. Also, there's just enough people that there's nice background noise, but it never gets too crazy unless you're there on Tuesdays, which is like Youth Group night or something. The only thing that bugs me is that most of the tables are just a little bit too short to study comfortably at. Oh well, I can deal. read more

I love this place. I used to go to Starbucks all the time to study, but I was introduced here, and now rarely go to Starbucks (and I have a gold card haha). The coffee selections are delicious, and don't get me started on the teas. So many varieties to choose from! There is free wi-fi, it is timed, so after 2 hours you get kicked off for a 10-minute "coffe break". You can easily log back in after 10 minutes, but it does get annoying when I actually need to use the internet for something school related. The staff is also very friendly. I docked one star because it is way too cold in there! Even when it's not hot outside, the AC is on full blast. Whenever I went to study I would have to bring my jacket and scarf. If I had gloves I'd wear those too. Actually, it got so cold that I stopped going there to study, and I only drop by when I want a drink if I'm coming from Trader Joes. This is a new coffee gem for me. I usually go to Starbucks and study, but I had a gift card so I went to try this place out. I will say this place definitely turned me, I am a coffee bean fan now. I usually order an Iced Carmel Macchiato with an extra shot, but when I ordered that the barista immediately knew I was a Starbucks regular, the Coffee Bean barista informed me that it's called an Iced Carmel Latte here. She was so cool and didn't make me feel like a complete noob. However, ever since when I have to chose I always go Coffee Bean. The price range is the same as Starbucks so expect that. Great place to study, but gets really cold so bring a jacket. read more

Quaint looking, but such slow service! And I really prefer more coffee than ice in my iced coffee.

What makes The Coffee Bean special is their focus on customer service and COFFEE. I wish there were more of these around but having them far and few in between probably makes it better in the long run. I'm not sure if it's this location only, but the staff is awesome! I love to sit on the outside patio with my laptop and a drink - it's very nicely shaded, and with headphones on and music playing, the street noise is not too annoying. The drip coffee is not as good as Stell's, but the iced tea was tasty and I had a great soy latte one day. The staff is an interesting mix of not-too-friendly, too-friendly, and then some real nice people on the weekends. The wi-fi works great. I avoid the great green giant of the coffee world when I can, and this place has lots of seating and a real "coffee house" feeling. I took a friend there, and she commented "now this feels like what I expect a coffee shop to be like, it reminds me of the place I used to go all the time down in Dana Point." read more

Ordered an iced matcha latte and it was delicious! It was my first time trying it and as a matcha lover it fit what I hoped it would taste like. The workers were all extremely friendly the lady who was making drinks asked what I was ordering before I even went up to the register to pay and she had my drink all ready by the time I paid! Love this coffee bean. Waaaaaay better than any starbucks ive been to. Ive tried almost all thei tea lattes and gotta say that almost all of them are really good. Now the reason why i gave this 3 stars is because of this one particular barista. Ive always been helped by the little asian lady and shes great. All the male baristas that have helped me are nice and friendly. I love watching them make the drinks as i think it looks really fun to do and usually the baristas are nice enough to chat with me as i watch. There was this one (i think shes caucasian, long brown hair, thin) barista however. I was standing there watching her make my drinks. Without even glancing at me, she mutters with attitude "can i help you?" I smiled and replied "no no i just like watching". Then she rolls her eyes, gives me the cold shoulder, and then i could see her try to hurry and finish off the drinks. As she hands the drinks to me she doesnt make eye contact, doesnt say what drink is what, no smile, no thank you, nothing. I think if she could, she wouldve thrown the drinks at me. I was a little shocked and confused at how this barista was treating me. Anyway, dont think I'll be going as frequently anymore. Husband and i used to go everyday but that situation kind of ruined the atmosphere for me. Will look for a different coffee bean to go to. The older asian lady is awesome. Dont remember her name but shes usually there around 11am-12pm (or at least that was what time we would go there). And whoever that male barista was who suggested the african sunrise tea latte, you are awesome. That is now one of my most favorite drinks. Thumbs up to u two baristas. I really hate to leave such a poor rating but after my interaction with the Barista by the name of LeaLoni, this Store fittingly deserves this score when they threatened to call the cops on me, because I'm a tired medical student fighting sleep. Yes, you read right. I was falling asleep and she said I wasn't allowed to do that, and she would call the cops to have me removed! I'm a med student studying for boards, and I needed to change my usual Starbucks location. I was/perpetually and incredibly tired, so I placed my head down on the table, when a LeaLoni came and told me that I was not allowed to sleep. Again I tried to stay up, but my head nodded again. Mind you I am already caffeined up and just exhausted from the intense studying. She comes to me and threatens to call the COPS. The cops! "It's going to have to come to that if I keep seeing you nod, this is the second time I see you do this." I informed her that to suggest to a undisruptive, loyal, and peaceful customer that calling the cops was necessary when i wasn't breaking the law, neither was impeding their business was UNCALLED for!!!. I calmly told her that it was inappropriate, and quite extreme to say that being tired was a crime. I am disgusted at her approach and would not recommend studying here. I am going back to starbucks! I've never been threatened to being kicked out for closing my eyes, nor threatened to having police officers Escort me out!! DO NOT GIVE THEM your BUSINESS! read more

Great place to study! Their wifi isn't as good as Starbucks but that kind of helps with the studying. Main thing is that It's always really cold so make sure your bring an extra jacket or something! This location is nice as well as it's right off of the freeway! read more

I've never had a problem at any coffee bean, but today I left this location really upset. One barista was very rude to me for absolutely no reason. There are other negative reviews about him on here so something should be done about his customer service skills. The reason why I'm leaving a 2 star review is because the other two employees were kind and one of them apologized for the rudeness of the other. Came in this morning with only a handful of customers inside. Ordered 3 drinks, none of which were complicated or needing alot of time. The forst was a coffee which i was told tasted old. Waited for over 15 min for 2 drinks which included a latte which was done almost immediately after I ordered and an ice Coffee which was seriously powdered product mixed with water. The lady who ordered some sort of frap behind me received her order before me. After 13 min I asked what was taking so long and the girl said oh your order is coming up. She then hands me my ice Coffee which was the wrong size and says have a nice day. I explained I ordered a larger size and she takes a larger cup pours it in then fills it with milk until it is full hands it to me and doesn't even apologize. Will not be returning. The drinks were terrible and we threw them out. Would not recommend. read more
