They also have a full selection of teas and other merchandise in the store. The service is always friendly here and the store is kept very clean. This frothy, frosty, iced goodness with buttery, cinnamonny, notes of caramel, a hint of ginger, enriched with cookie flavor is a high quality coffee treat!!! I have never been to a coffee bean & tea leaf before so this is a review of the franchise and my initial impressions as a whole. first of all, wow. good job. they did it. they really made a coffee shop that isn't starbucks. it even has the same kind of hostile architecture that makes Starbucks look like someone opened a soviet prison inside a Walmart, but if you look carefully, the word "Starbucks" doesn't actually appear anywhere inside this store. I would compare it to Shelbyville on The Simpsons, but alas, dear reader, that would be far too simple of an analogy. This place is more like the parallel demon world featured in the short film "Parallel Monsters" from the movie VHS: Viral. In that short, an inventor travels through an interdimensional portal and explores a seemingly duplicate world to his own, where it's slowly revealed that the inhabitants of that world are evil, satanic versions of themselves. A blimp with an inverted cross flies overhead, people have demonic powers, everyone's genitals are weird lovecraftian monsters, etc. This was exactly like that. I ordered an "ice blended" drink, which is essentially a Frappuccino. or so I thought. it tasted more like a bunch of melted store brand ice cream. while it was being made, an angry, short, goblin-like manager scurried out of the back to bark at one of the baristas and demand that she complete her "diversity and inclusion" survey when she has a free minute. the barista, making six different drinks at once (four hot, two cold), gave a confused and long suffering "I'm on it." the manager then crawled into the back office on all fours without even pretending to assist with any of the drinks. I couldn't help but be awed by the marvelous efficiency this crumbling monument to corporate greed runs on, like a well cared for marionette dancing and gyratting on the sidewalk before the mad puppeteer locks it away in his box. I stuck my oddly sized cardboard straw into my cup of 90% corn syrup, turned around, and saw an adult man who looked like he has a Disney+ subscription impotently staring at his teva sandals while the college aged barista poured his slop into single serving plastic. gone are the days of josh groban cds and misspelled names, for this is a place that more closely resembles hell. read more

I really feel that Coffee Bean is one of the best chain coffee houses. I love that they use powder instead of syrup and the best thing is that they use a whisk to mix it. Unlike the other coffee houses, they syrup and all of that just sinks to the bottom and you have to use a stir stick so that it gets mixed in. I also love their iced teas. Their app has improved over the years, but it's not as good and efficient as Starbucks. Just remember to order your drink ahead of time because they do take longer to make their drinks read more

Nice little alternative to Starbucks. Indoor sanitized seating for a relaxing place to read or web surf. Who would've thought they have a nice selection of teas and beans. Surprised to see Vietnamese ice coffee and even more surprised that it taste good. It's condense milk balances the coffee strength. The barista did their best after they could after handing me a hot americano that spilled all over me and burned my hand. Now I want to blame the barista for not closing it property but really Coffee bean has the worst lids/cup combos I have ever seen. I don't understand why coffee bean doesn't correct them. So be extra careful if you get hot coffee. I generally just roll through the drive through and I find it convenient except for the fact that you can't make a right turn leaving so it requires you to exit out of the entrance that is pretty tight and forces you to head towards Manhattan beach which is the wrong direction for me. But the drive though is still worth it for me. Overall I am happy to see a coffee bean in this neighborhood and will continue going there. read more

I could tell they were having a difficult time just working the drive thru. The line behind me was building and people were confused, the lady behind me in line asked if I'd ordered and I sad no one has even looked at us for 15 mins. One of the 5 employees started to take the trash out right in front of me and I asked her if we could checkout. She rudely said we aren't taking orders. Still no eye contact and no explanation. A great Coffee Bean location! It's not the closest one near my home but whenever I'm in the area I make sure to go here. It's especially helpful that it's a drive thru, the set up is pretty good considering the physical store seems small. (But I've never been inside). It's quickly become my go to location since I try to avoid being inside public places. I am able to quickly make my order and leave with my drinks. The service is excellent, they're very friendly and helpful. I tend to ask many people questions about drinks although I usually end up getting the same thing I always get. I'm a big fan of Coffee Bean and this location lives up to my positive expectations. The drinks are as delicious as any one of their good locations. Unfortunately I am writing a poor review only because of the treatment to the barista that was helping us by her own management. We had ordered two drinks and before paying we inquired about the "Buy one get one free" ad that was on Instagram. The "special" was to go on until March 19th, it being the 11th we thought we would try it out. The young woman helping us wanted to double check if the offer was still going so she went to ask her supervisor. The head of the franchise or possible higher up manager, an older man with a black hat was very quick to come out of the back room and angrily tell her that the deal was off and to just do whatever she wanted. He spoke to her as if she was in trouble and as if we were getting her in trouble. The whole interaction between them was awkward and unprofessional on his part because of his anger and obvious dislike of our question. Instead of acknowledging us, he snapped for her to do "whatever you want" and stormed away as she asked about the special. The whole thing made us uncomfortable and guilty for even asking. After the interaction we apologized and waited for our drinks. That same man then stared at us angrily while he took someone else's order. It felt like an intimidation tactic and I'm not sure I've ever experienced that at a Coffee Bean, let alone from the manager! Do better. Not just for the patrons but for the employees. Perfectly positioned on Artesia. Never really have to wait very long in the drive thru. I want to say that the shop is open for take out only during these times. My good friend manages this location and he's done an excellent job! Amazing service and all the standard coffee bean drinks that they offer. I tend to expand on the menu and try not to order the same thing every time to I can try different options. I love the chocolate croissant warmed up! A must! The new favorite for me is the hazelnut americano, strong to start your day right and also enough of some sweetener to offset the espresso shots. read more

Whenever I visit family in the South Bay, I come here because it's a nice place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. However, it seems like every place that serves food allows dogs in the South Bay. Living in the Bellflower/Cerritos area, you'd be hard pressed to find people walking their animals into a grocery store or restaurant, but in the Beach cities, you see one person after another binging their pets into a store. I love dogs and think they're beautiful creatures, but they shouldn't be an establishment where food and drink is served. It's also unfair for people with legitimate disabilities who need a service dog that so many people nonchalantly bring their animals. The workers here are nice, and they know me by name, but they should stipulate that only service animals are allowed. read more

Never have trouble getting a frozen drinks here. Always in and out. I usually go for an after lunch drink so there is never a wait. I do see this place have a long line in the morning so I avoid going to those times. They have their own lot so parking is usually really easy. A new location located off Artesia Bl in Redondo Beach. This one has a drive thru as well. Inside it's not a big location even it looks like it could be. Parking is small and not many spaces and its not very easy getting in and out of this place due to the traffic flow on Artesia Bl. There are about six small tables in one area. Another area there is a a long bartop table seats maybe about 4 or so and one other table in a corner for two people. Mainly came here to see it and redeem a free drink from the app. Overall a nice Coffee Bean location that is close by. I'd come back. read more

I ran an iced coffee experiment due to the recent hot weather. After extensive argument w/ a co-worker about the better tasting iced coffees in the area, I decided to take matters into my own hands and show up to work with 5 large(st) sized iced coffees from 5 different locations. This CBTL is close to McDonald's and Subway on Artesia westbound side. Tough getting in and out with the one-way parking lot flows and some of the tight turns, but overall manageable. Ample parking in/around Goodwill/FedEx/etc. Service and line management - 1/5 stars (very disengaged service) Price (under $5) - rated sufficiently at ~$4 so 5/5 Parking and accessibility - 2/5 meh. Taste / Freshness - 2/5 I thought the iced coffee blend tasted kind of stale and WAY too much ice. It was very watery by the time we got to tasting. Needs a lot of sweetener to suit my tastes. It's just ok...it still takes CBTL being the only place within miles for me to go there. read more
