The line was long af but that's expected because this is literally located on UCR's campus. I went here for a tour and my friends and I wanted a drink. The last time I went to a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf was like 10 years ago wow. I didn't know so much had changed. I ordered a Large Vanilla Ice Blended Drink because I like Ice Blended stuff and I was sure I would like vanilla. When I first drank it, it was good, but I soon got tired of how sweet it was. I also forgot that this drink had coffee in it. And honestly, I hate coffee. The smell and the taste. So when I was only like 1/4 of the way done with the drink I was already over with it and wanted to throw it away. But I kept drinking it cuz I wanted something to suck on while I walked around wow. This place was packed af with people studying but like how can you even concentrate when it's loud asf too. Wow! If I liked coffee, I would like this drink better. But it's also too sweet for me. Next time, I might order a non-caffeinated drink like the mango and do 50% sweetness cuz this is too much imo! The service was good though. The server thought my name was Haley but I said Caitlynn though LOL. 3 STARS!

Usually Coffee Bean drinks are not my favorite but believe me when I say that the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte changed my life. This drink is too good! I give it a solid 15/10! It is so good, I'd say it's better than the Matcha Soy drink at 7Leaves. Literally a MUST TRY. The Large size was $5.15. A matcha drink at Coffee Bean doesn't sound the least bit tempting, but trust me when I say you have to try it at least once. So creamy and delicious! The Iced Matcha Latte will be my go-to drink every time I'm at UCR now. The service here is great. The servers are friendly. The barista noticed my drink was over spilling and offered me a sleeve for my cup. There are many tables to study at too. It can get loud though. Highly recommend coming here for drinks, to study, or both :) Iced Matcha Latte: 15/10 Service: 10/10 Study: 7/10

The coffee here tastes fresh and delicious! Today's order is: Reg. Size Vietnamese Cold Brew. The staff here are also friendly. Now moving into interior, it is a nice place to relax. Personally recommend !

I was craving a hazelnut latte today and took another one to a friend to catch up. This Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is usually the one I go to for this particular craving. Today the coffeeshop felt a bit lonely and I still had to wait a bit for my drinks mainly because they are seemed understaffed. The "hot" drinks were not hot enough unfortunately and I wish they would have given me some little stoppers because I walked a long distance and it was hard not to spill them.

I ordered a large cold brew and a lemon poppy seed muffin as well. I took a bite into the muffin first, since I was really starving, but it tasted a tad bit dry. I would recommend drinking your coffee first before biting into the muffin, because it actually seems to make your pastry more succulent and tasty that way. The aftertaste of drinking coffee first will usually have that effect on whatever you eat. Other then that, coffee and pastry is a pairing must if you've ever not enjoyed one or the other by itself. Overall, I loved my cold brew and pastry. They were really delicious! I also noticed how busy this location can get, and I totally understand from the employees standpoint..that you can't always float around and cleanup every single minute of the workday. So I appreciate that although the location can get a bit dirty, this cafe looks really clean, considering the high volume of students coming in. So regardless of the negative reviews that this location sees, I would hope that the staff keeps moving on forward. And one more detail I noticed! It's definitely not a location to study at if you need your peace and quiet (unless you got noise cancelling headphones, then good for you Glenn CoCo!). But most of the reviews I am seeing below are 3 stars or below because of it not being a good location to study at. What else would you expect at a university where thousands of students attend? There's bound to be a location where you can study in peace and silence. But if the location ever decides to close down for construction just so it can satisfy the needs to expand a little bit more, then more power to Coffee Bean! Anyways, I enjoy the experience here and I would definitely come back.

Found in the Highlander Union Building area. Nothing extremely special. Great place to meet with colleagues to work on projects. It solves the issue of getting coffee on campus, but there's nothing special.

It's in the middle of campus!! Why would it not be busy. My favorite time to be there is at 7 am or at 7pm. If youre impatient don't go in. Go to Ivans or the C store. They're always looking to Improve their customer service and if the drink is not how you like it, they will remake it for you. Granted some are a little snobby, but they're students just like us who have to worry about midterms, papers, finals and LIFE just like the rest of us! Their drinks are amazing , and their pastries are Buddha sent !

This is my favorite spot to meet my friends for coffee. I usually get an iced black coffee or their peach green tea. Both are fabulous.

Unfortunately, the coffee seeped into the packaging of the macarons, contaminating them and making them unsafe for my children to eat. To make matters worse, the chocolate macarons we ordered were out of stock, requiring a substitute, which added to the inconvenience. For an order totaling nearly $60, I expected better packaging and quality control. Properly sealing drinks for takeout should be a basic standard, especially when food items are packed alongside beverages. Photos of the leaking drink, damaged macarons, and receipt have been provided. Very frustrating experience. Order #24290506 06/14/2026 12:15pm

It could be a bit creamier, but it was still very enjoyable. The jasmine milk tea with regular sugar and light ice was just okay. I would not get it again since it tasted kind of bland. The main attraction here is definitely the popcorn chicken, however the food feels a little overpriced for the portion size. It was flavorful, well seasoned, perfectly salty, and crispy. Even at medium spice, it had a nice kick. There were no weird pieces either. The only downside is some inconsistency in size since a few pieces could be smaller. The mozzarella sticks were also very good. I prefer them with ketchup instead of marinara. They are your typical mozzarella sticks and taste good, but the popcorn chicken is what really stands out.

You are such a good coffee shop with reasonable prices considering the consistent quality of your drinks and yet you're shady. Should I ask the barista what the price of every item on the menu is and write it down on the menu myself? If the line is long and you want to know how much an item is you can't! You will just have to go in line and waste your time if you don't get the item after all. In what world is that normal or reasonable. I hate it here. Whoever came up with that you're wicked and evil.
