As long as I live in Chicago, I will be taking all of my vehicles to The Collision Barn on 5401 N Kedzie Ave for any services and repairs I need. Tom Sullivan and the team at the shop did me the world's biggest favor by repairing my Mazda CX-3. After I had scheduled an appointment, they took it right in, and--I swear--I could not have been waiting longer than 25 minutes before the mechanic had already finished working and brought it out. In addition to that, they gave me the best deal I could have ever gotten. I promise you few other shops in the city, if any at all, would have done me such a kindness. The Collision Barn has earned my business for life. They fixed my car when I really needed it, and they did it quickly, very well, and for an outstanding price.

New bumper and rear quarter panel rust removed

Brought in my g37 for a new bumper and minor rust removal on the rear driver side quarter panel. Car came out perfect. One of the cleanest car shops I've been to. Also very friendly staff. Definitely recommend this place.

Color matches well (reflections may alter view, like the wheel reflection under tail light) and everything is straight. Happy!

In the past 22 years, I have taken 12 different cars to 7 different auto body shops in Chicagoland. Three cars were BMWs, 2 Mercedes, 2 Hondas, a Ford, an Audi, etc. This is Chicago, so accidents happen all too often, unfortunately. This time I had to bring my Volvo XC90 to get repaired from someone rear ending it on a slippery winter night. The rear bumper, lower tailgate, rear quarter panel, and inner bumper support were all damaged. I found Collision Barn from Volvo's website for Volvo authorized collision shops. I had a great experience with them as they are friendly and truly appreciate your business. They communicated well, they talk (and sometimes have to wait) with the insurance adjusters, and they do a quality work. I am a stickler, so I look for paint blends and paint match on the body panels. I cannot tell where there was damage or repair, besides the paint and plastic looking new. So far the paint is lasting the winter salt and brutal cold. What I like this place: not too big where they don't know who you are, yet big enough that they are well equipped and have experienced people working. It's that sweet spot place I wanted to find in Chicago.

I brought my brand-new 2026 Subaru Crosstrek to A-Carr's Auto Body after an attempted break-in,…read morebased on a recommendation from Berman Subaru. The damage included a broken driver's side passenger door window, a damaged driver's door handle from someone trying to force the lock, scratches to the paint, damaged window gaskets, the work included having to remove and replace several body moldings and cladding pieces in order to paint the sections properly. The repair estimate was approximately $3,000. After my vehicle was in the shop for just over three weeks, I picked it up and immediately noticed several problems with the repairs. There was a paint blemish near the driver's door handle, an area on the rear quarter panel where the paint had been worn through to the primer, body cladding on the driver's door that was not properly secured, body cladding and molding on the driver's side rear passenger door that was not properly attached, and a window trim piece that had become discolored, apparently from chemicals used during the repair process. I contacted A-Carr's, and they asked me to bring the vehicle back. We reviewed each issue together, and they kept the car for another week to make the necessary corrections. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, I inspected the repairs before leaving. While some of the issues had been corrected, the body cladding and molding on the driver's side rear passenger door had still not been properly repaired. There were obvious gaps between the molding and the door, and the adhesive tape securing the parts was clearly visible. When I brought this to the attention of the representative, his attitude quickly changed. He appeared frustrated, called another employee over, and after looking at the vehicle, told me that I "had to be reasonable" and that this was simply the way the car was going to be. I was informed they would not make any additional repairs. When I disagreed, I was told to take the vehicle back to Berman Subaru--the dealership that had recommended A-Carr's--and have them look at it instead. What disappointed me most wasn't just that my brand-new vehicle was returned with incomplete repairs after more than four weeks in the shop. It was the unwillingness to stand behind the quality of the work and the dismissive way my concerns were handled. I expected a higher level of craftsmanship and professionalism, especially from a shop recommended by a Subaru dealership. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot and would not recommend anyone to take your car to A-Carr's Auto Body.
