Recently suffered a freak accident of a power pole falling in front of my car while driving. Final Destination level horror. The kicker? It was on my birthday while I was on vacation. I wasn't thrilled about having to take my car in to a shop at all. But alas, my insurance sent me here. Let me say out of everything, I am beyond glad they did. The staff were amazing! Omer's attention to detail was astounding. I really didn't even notice some things he did. I was told 8-10 days, which I wasn't happy about but Rome wasn't built overnight. My car however... was fixed 2 days later! I almost screamed into the phone in disbelief & happiness when Omer called me back. This was something I left work early for & was happy to do so. I was shooketh seeing my car after the work. It was that feeling of wanting to ugly-happy cry. Even looking back, the quote I received was fair! God forbid something happens, come here for service. I had a great experience here after my car was hit in a minor traffic accident. Every single person I encountered, from start to finish, was very helpful and nice. My car was ready a full two days early, which was an awesome surprise. The work was done well and they kept my vehicle clean. The automated text message updates are annoying because the expected service date doesn't match what the people at the shop tell you, but they were clear about that when I asked and acknowledged that it sucks. Finally, the two shop dogs, Daisy and...Monty? Morty? I am so sorry I don't remember, but they are darling and I held off on getting my car for a bit so I could give both dogs some well-deserved pets. Overall it was a great experience. I can't say I hope to return, because I hope to never be in a car accident again, but if I am, I will call Gerber very soon after! read more

I had to reschedule an assessment after a collision I had. Due to work. When I finally get the car in they say no assessors are in. I was mad and said that it was an inconvenience and why didn't they call people if they knew this. Well, I got a " You are welcome to go somewhere else." This (uninsured) lady side-swiped my car, and I spent several weeks waiting on the insurance company to fight it out. After finding out she was uninsured, although I was pissed, I knew I wanted to go to someone I could count on. I purposely chose this body shop because I remember coming here a few years ago when someone hit my bumper. My memory was fuzzy on who was at the front desk and which mechanics I worked with. I just remember having a really positive experience here, so I told Geico this is the only place I wanted to return to. I didn't even look at competitors. Per usual, they did a phenomenal job on all the scratches on my car and repairing the exhaust pipe/muffler that was dragging on the ground. I got ready to pick it up after the accident repairs were made but remembered that I'd been putting off a $900 repair estimate from something unrelated to the car accident (on the opposite side of my car more than a year ago). I asked them if anyone on their staff could make the same repair and if it would cost that price. Their rate was $150 less. I jumped at the opportunity and asked them to keep my car to make that repair, too. To my absolute delight, when I picked the car up, they'd charged me even less (lower than $600) for that repair because the parts cost less. I respected the honesty because they could've kept their same rate and just not told me. (My guess is the other car company would have still kept their price the same.) While I'm still irritated that I had to pony up the deductible for someone who hit my car, Gerber's difference in the additional repair saved me MORE than the amount I would've paid the other company (and more than the deductible I was whining about). And now that I read my old review, I see that I gave a compliment to Rebecca who was at the front desk. She deserves another one. That's who I talked to the whole time this time around (with my dog LOUDLY barking in the background). She was a delight to chit-chat with both times I came to the facility for car talk, kid talk, hair talk and trading dog stories. She alone gets a 5 out of 5 rating. Once again, everyone was great. While I don't want a collision place to be my regular hangout and hope I never need to come back, I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. read more

My F150 was scratched on the passenger side of the vehicle and I was given a drop off date within a week. (Unheard of at this time) The staff was friendly and the service tech took time to explain how the repair would be completed. Everyone was courteous and friendly, I was never made to feel rushed or ignored. They gave me a estimated date of completion and proceeded to beat it. Was pleasantly surprise when I received a phone call that my truck was ready for pick up. The repair was excellent and the interior was vacuumed. This is the second repair made by this branch, I had a previous repair done by a sister branch however this one stands out. Customer service seems to be losing the battle with automation but these folks went above and beyond. I will be recommending this branch to everyone and anyone. Kudos and accolades. read more

She made every effort to accommodate my needs. I never worried about anything once Rebecca was involved. I knew she was special the first time I encountered her. The work at Gerber was excellent. Each time, and there have been at least three times (no fault of my own) when I got my car back, I was more than pleased with the work Gerber did. The console to my rear window randomly detached, and when trying to get repaired from my dealership, I was getting the run around. Update 4:45pm 11/10/2021 Got an email from the manager who wanted to change my " perception" and explain their actions. Asked that I call so I did. He did manage to change my perception; he made it worse. In the course of the discussion, he said that week before I dropped off my car he informed his teams and that from the get go they were backed up and that should have been communicated to customers. So there was no hope and they knew I would be shelling out for rentals much longer than the 4-5 day repair time promised. Odd that they never could call to warn or straighten out things with the same telephones they became hot to use when they saw an online complaint. I want NOTHING from Gerber. No money, no fake apology since they knew from jump I would be screwed, and no repair. I only hope that they one day need something and they get a taste of their own customer service. Original Post: Pretty messed up experience with Gerber that ended up costing me a lot of money out of pocket with nothing to show. Was in an accident. Took time to set up appointment as they are busy and I need my car for work so I had to juggle. Asked to bring in the car on the first and it would take no more than 4 to 5 days but I would not have to worry about renting a car over the weekend. Got rental paid lots of added insurance. Called on Friday and got the run around that they had not bothered to start on my car, inform me, or cover any out of pocket. Asked when the car would be ready and was told "hopefully the end of next week....MAYBE". SO 29 a day for a rental and 22 a day for insurance to make sure I am a responsible driver and Gerber doesn't care that MAYBE HOPEFULLY I'll only be out another 500. Expressed my dissatisfaction and asked that they have my car ready for 8 am pick up and I would leave the rental as they have an agreement with Enterprise. Show up at 8 and get a line of B's about a technician leaving and that is why they could not call or give me a heads up. Had to wait for my car. Was not ready. Getting upset I went outside and 20 minutes later a tech pulls up in an Uber laughing with the driver that his boss makes him go get donuts. After he shows up I get my car. Maybe the tech who walked off the job did so because management makes them errand boys for coffee and donuts Ask to leave the rental and told no. Drove my car to a safe place to park then already late for work waiting on the donut king, drive to Enterprise to find out they are closed. Nice employee let me drop off car with him and was surprised I did not get to leave the car as they have 4 or 5 there at any time. As Enterprise was closed I could not get a ride back and had to fork out for an Uber further costing me money and just making me later and later . Extremely poor service and worse a real I don't give a flying rats arse about you, your time, your money. You they customer will wait on them In any case 5 days of rental insurance and no work to be at the same place I started at. They have 8 locations nearby and could have shifted my paint job there, they own telephones and could have warned me, even let me drop the rental there as per their agreement with Enterprise would have saved me 45 minutes. And they could have gone in early for donuts or later after they made sure my car was ready at 8 knowing I really needed to get to work. If you use them get it writing. Will never use them again. read more

I brought my Lexus for repairs and they did a amazing job getting my car back to perfect shape!!! Rebecca the adjuster was great and kept me informed on the repair steps. Tom the tech doing that repairs did amazing work on the repairs looks better then Oem. Sam the manager was great at taking care of my car to make sure it came out perfect!! Took my car in for an extended stay. When I originally got it back, I was upset because I thought I saw some indicators that it wasn't well cared for when it was in the shop. After cooling down, I noticed that they actually took pretty good care of my car. Not only did they do a great job on the repairs, but they cleaned the interior which had an insane amount of my dog's hair in it when I dropped it off (it was about time for an interior detail). The issues I had with my car when I picked it up were easily fixed at the minor inconvenience of a trip back. The staff is friendly, and were even cordial with a guy who came in to try and sell them hats and shirts while I was there. All in all, I've had much worse experiences in the past at other shops and I would bring my car back again. read more

5 stars isn't even enough for the experience I had at this Gerber! I have had my car repaired at multiple different Gerber locations, but the one on Western and Devon exceeded all expectations. The staff was friendly and the manager, Sam Ripes, was extremely knowledgeable. I was kept updated throughout the entire process, and when it was time to pick my car up, my jaw just about dropped when I saw how clean the inside was! It felt like I was driving away in a brand new car! It even smelled new!
