I was hoping for great things as they were said to be made in house. We ordered 3 cookies and they were just ok as a matter of fact, 1 was hard and I had gotten the cookies when they first opened. For the price I expected a lot more from the cookie's, my chocolate chip cookie was not flavor-packed or filled with lots of high % cacao chocolate nor was it soft and the size was not amazing either. My mom frequents here for cookies but this time she had a cookie cake made for my son. There's a little inside joke between my son and dad about wanting a knuckle sand which so my dad asked if they could make something like that and they did. My husband happened to stumble upon The Cookie House while working and knew he had to check it out for me. He knows the way to my heart lol. He said there were plenty of choices and the service was friendly. He decided on 3 different cookies which were around $10 and change. He came home with 2 sugar cookies and one gingerbread. Each cookie was individually wrapped and decorated wonderfully. The cookies were fresh and tasted delicious!! Definitely not frozen. Tucked at the south end of the Walmart Center is this gold mine I found. They are open during Covid. Just mask up and go inside. I was able to pick out each cookie that I wanted to try. This was a very cute shop. I was reading a book about a cookie shop and it really put me in a mood for a Cookie so I yelped for a close by cookie shop and this store popped up. So I stopped by with my four year old thankfully it wasn't closed yet. I love the decorating idea if my son wasn't so grumpy he would enjoy it. The price is what you expect so no complaints. My oldest stayed home so I bought three cookies my oldest had asked for a peanut butter. And my youngest was being grumpy and wanted nothing but chocolate milk. So I got a traditional chocolate chip and decided to try their chocolate brownie with pecan. We took it to go as my oldest was waiting. The peanut butter wasn't that bad just wish they had crushed peanuts inside but overall it was good. The chocolate chip hit the right spot. I ordered cookies for my husband as a surprise for our first wedding anniversary. I came in with a photo I found online and asked if she could make them. The owner said yes but also took the time to tell me all of the options I had to make the cookies unique and special to us. She suggested changing the shape to a heart and using our wedding colors since they were for our anniversary. I'm not creative like that at all and was so excited by her ideas! I called to simply ask information on potentially putting through an order for my bridal shower and I didn't even get to finish what I was saying or asking and the lady on the phone automatically says "NO." I really liked that they were all individually wrapped and nicely plated for individual purchase or larger packaging If you're looking for a sweet treat for others. If you're looking for a special box or event they had so many prepackaged cookies with different styles including the Beatles or cherries. Cookies are about $3 a piece average, but if you're looking for quality and pretty design so worth it. Lastly the taste of all were phenomenal. A friend told me about this cookie shop. It just opened about 2 months ago. I took my kids there today. The cookies are literally the best cookies I've had in a long time. They have so many to choose from. They even have sugar cookies that you can decorate with food markers. It's set up really nice. What I got was cookies that tasted like they sat for a day before they were frozen, then were thawed again the day they were to be sold. I have used Shannon and The Cookie House a couple times for birthday cookies for my son, and they are amazing! I have even had parents contact me afterward asking about the cookies. Shannon and team go above and beyond. My son picked a totally obscure theme for his birthday (Wild Kratts TV show) and Shannon even went so far as to research the show and learn about the characters before making the cookies. I've been here a few times since it opened. The staff is really nice. There's different ones every time I go, it's fun to try new ones. I love homemade baked goods so the look and taste of the cookies are great (especially the sugar cookies). The cookies are very large however, so I understand the pricing. So I've been wanting to try this place for a while now since it's not far from where I live. I walked inside expecting to be hit by the aroma of warm, freshly made cookies and was confused when there wasn't the slightest hint of cookies in the air at all. Never have I been in a bakery that smelled literally like nothing. That's usually part of the bakery experience and can definitely entice customers to buy more. Had I not been the only customer in there, I would have walked out. I decided to try their chocolate chip cookie, which is usually a hit at any bakery. I took a bite as soon as I got in the car and was immediately disappointed! It was hard, dry, and had 0 flavor! There's no way these cookies are made fresh every single day. Either they're lying when they say that or they really need to hire a new baker who actually taste test the cookies before putting them out for sale.
