We went for breakfast, I had the avocado toast and added eggs. It was so refreshing, especially with the balsamic on top. My husband got two of their quiches, and we split a cinnamon roll. Everything I've tried so far has been delicious, and it's such a great option if you're limited to a gluten-free diet. The staff is also very friendly and happy to answer any questions you may have. I really wanted to like this place, but I left feeling pretty disappointed. One of the items that caught my eye was the "4-inch quiche" for $10. Based on the description, I expected an individual round quiche that was approximately 4 inches in diameter. Instead, I received a relatively small slice cut from a larger quiche, which was nowhere near what I would consider a 4-inch quiche. It essentially looked like a small little cake slice. They also don't display the quiche, instead they hide the quiche in the back so it just kinda feels deceptive. To make matters worse, the quiche itself was somewhat dry. For $10, I expected a 4" quiche and a better overall experience. I was genuinely excited to try this place and had high hopes, which made the experience even more disappointing. DREAM PLACE for someone who is gluten free! I was literally giddy at all the options I had and I can't wait to go back again and again to try it all. I was greeted by two people behind the counter and was told to feel free to ask questions and try one of the samples they had. They also let me know that there were additional items that I could buy to take home on the shelves and in the cooler, so take my time looking around. There was so much good gf stuff! We ordered the Turkey Pesto Panini and the 'Trust Me Dude' Panini which came with a side of chips. Both were delicious but, Trust Me Dude... you're gonna want to try that one cause the name all the sudden made sense with the first bite. It was unlike any sandwich I've had before, in the best way possible! I also had the double chocolate cookie and didn't even get a picture cause I ate it so fast, it was that good! The cafe is spacious and had indoor and outdoor seating. They also had a shelf with games and a chalk board mentioning different themed events like game night and cookie decorating classes. It feels like they are not only trying to create a great restaurant, but a little community. They also take allergies very seriously so you can feel safe here. This is a gem of an eatery. We had the pizza and the tomato soup as well As cookies and I bought a loaf of Italian artisan bread. The fact that you really couldn't tell it was gluten free is amazing. First time at The Coop and I was amazed by all the options that accommodate gluten and other allergies! I tried the cinnamon roll which was massive with a nice soft texture. Most GF cinnamon rolls are quite dense so I was very pleased with the fluffy texture of this one. As soon as we entered, I was captivated by the heavenly and comforting aromas of their baked goods. My eyes widened, desiring to taste everything (nothing new for me). However, my concern was what would my gluten-sensitive son be able to enjoy? That's when I realized it's a gluten-free (as well as free of corn and soy) restaurant! Pretty bad. I walked in with ice cream from Solana Frosty and some employee said "UM ARE THOSE GLUTEN FREE? WE ARE GLUTEN FREE WE DO NOT ALLOW GLUTEN IN HERE" I said sure, and ordered. Coop is a neat little new spot located right in the plaza in Solana beach. They specialize in gluten free etc bread and have a pretty substantial menu. This was my first time at The Coop and it is gluten-free heaven! They have sandwiches are very generous and the ingredients our quality. Everything was delicious. Staff takes allergies and intolerances seriously here and are very accommodating. The inside is super cozy with plenty of seating and there's ample parking as well. I don't feel welcome when I come in. I have gone about 8 times and each time I feel like I am bothering them with questions. Also, I drive from Carlsbad, and Half the time they are out of cookies by 12. Also, cookies have gotten smaller. Need to improve customer service and better menu selections . Coop in Solana Beach is an absolute gem. It's just a short walk from the train station and close to the freeway, but it feels like a little neighborhood secret. The pastries and food dishes are fantastic - fresh, creative, and super satisfying. Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality you get. The entire restaurant is completely gluten-free, but you honestly wouldn't know it from the taste. If you don't normally eat gluten-free, you'll probably like the food even more because it's so well done - you just feel good after eating there. On top of that, the staff is very, very friendly and welcoming. They really seem to care about the customers and the experience. Overall, Coop is well worth a visit (or many). Heck yes. Just the place I've been looking for! The food is delicious-I had the breakfast eggie and a cinnamon roll and they were both fantastic. Could not tell they were gluten free! That was seriously one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. The inside of the restaurant is really cute. Ample seating both indoors and outdoors and family friendly-I spotted a coloring corner and high chairs available as we walked in, which is such a wonderful option for celiac kiddos who are usually so limited in places to eat. All the baked goods looked so amazing that I would have tried everything. The staff were very helpful and friendly. This new bakery, which recently opened in Solana Beach, caters mainly to gluten-free customers. Open for both breakfast and lunch, the store offers a limited variety of sandwiches and soups in addition to a few pastries like muffins and cookies. I went to check them out for breakfast but found only a couple of things on the menu to select from: a quiche, an egg sandwich, and avocado toast. I noticed the menu listed a LOT of add-ons for an additional cost. For example, a plain avocado toast is $10 without any toppings. My tiny coffee (8 or maybe 10 oz) was $5, and there is an extra charge to add milk or cream (yes, shocking). Lunch sandwiches prices ranged from $17-$20. The prices are very high, and I was the only customer in the store. Perhaps their bread and butter comes not from retail/cafe but providing restaurants with gluten free products. Customer service was friendly, nice place, lots of seating inside. I'm all for supporting local businesses but I'm unlikely to return to this one. I appreciate clear and concise menus without hidden or added fees and high cost for counter-service cafe. read more

Amazing gluten free food! My daughter has celiac and it's nice to have a place to eat that is 100% safe and delicious. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Nice atmosphere. BEST GF BAKERY! Very cute little spot in Solana Beach with friendly staff. The gluten free pastries are AMAZING. I don't know what kind of flour they're using, but the bread is incredible. The cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich are my favorite. My boyfriend (not gluten free) said the double chocolate cookie was the best cookie he's ever had. Another review mentioned the staff being vigilant about not allowing gluten products in the restaurant. As someone that is very sensitive to gluten, I really appreciate this. I know a lot of people don't realize, but cross contamination can be a serious health issue if you have celiac or a gluten allergy/intolerance. My best friend has celiacs disease, and I sometimes struggle to find places where we can meet where she can feel fully comfortable ordering food. I took her to the coop, where everything - and I mean literally every single thing that they sell is gluten-free, soy free, and corn free. She was in heaven knowing that she could order anything off the menu and it would not make her sick. As someone who does not have any of these restrictions, I also enjoyed it. I feel like a lot of that type of food is dense or just doesn't taste great, but there was no difference in taste or texture on anything I tried. Just stopped by the "Crash Kitchen" of the Coop! I'm so excited for this new addition to Solana! My mom got the panini which was excellent. I got a special with soup and salad- yum! Veggie soup with side of delicious focaccia bread and strawberry crunch salad. They will have a grand opening around August but I'm grateful they opened and are up for feedback as they settle into the community. The service was friendly and attentive. This is a new shop in Solana Beach and we stopped in to see what it was about. We had a long discussion with one of the owners Olivia, and we're very impressed but didn't have time to eat. I came back this morning and got a Kona coffee and one of their molasses cookies. They have a farm in Kona and bring the beans here and roast them and process them themselves. My wife said the coffee was spectacular. I tried the molasses cookie and have to say it was one of the best cookies I've ever had Even though I would not say in the past that molasses cookies were my favorite.
