    Tri Grass-Fed Tri-Tip Bowl (gf)
    Marcie L.

I came in on a Thursday around 11:45 AM, and it was a really easy experience from start to finish. Parking was wide open in the lot and there were only a handful of other people there, so there was no wait at all. You order directly at the counter with a cashier. The menu is pretty big with bowls, plates, and a variety of other options, plus they also serve alcohol. The staff were super friendly and helpful while we were ordering. I ordered: *Tri Tip Bowl: this was a large portion overall. You can choose between jasmine rice or brown rice, and for vegetables either mixed veggies or squash. I went with the mixed veggies. You get around 4 or 5 (guessing) ounces of protein, which honestly felt a little light compared to how much rice is in the bowl. I also added chimichurri sauce, and they offer extra if you ask. Overall it was fine, just a bit underwhelming in flavor. *Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles): they have a few different wine options around the $9-$11 range. I went with the Paso Robles cab, and it was really good. Two employees checked on us during our meal to make sure everything was good, and they even brought us boxes without us asking, which was appreciated. The place itself was very clean, and we got our food in under five minutes, which was impressive. Service was excellent overall. The only real downside was that the food itself was pretty bland.

Tried the steak sandwich on ciabatta and it wasn't too bad. Steak was thinly sliced and flavorful tho the chimchurri leaned on the creamy side, it was missing a little something. Service was super friendly! Bushfire has both plenty of indoor and outdoor seating which was nice too. Saw they have a decent happy hour but it's only from 2-5pm!

We had Bushfire kitchen cater a work event and got empanadas and they were amazing!! We got chicken, beef, and veggie. Highly recommend all of them. Flavorful, great spices, and tasty crust! I spoke with Willie who was also so nice and friendly. We will definitely be ordering from Bushfire again!

Been coming here for over 10 years. Beyond the ambience being very welcoming while still high-end, the service is always amazing. The staff is always so friendly and Trudi was just a joy to speak with! the food is absolutely perfect, as usual and the portions are perfectly sized. I almost couldn't stop eating to stop to do this review, but it was so good I had to! Lifelong customer

We stopped at Bushfire Kitchen today while traveling with the NAU Women's Soccer Team for our pregame meal, and it was exactly what we needed. The prices were fair, the quality of the food was excellent, and there were plenty of options to satisfy everyone. Most importantly, all of the ladies enjoyed their meals--which isn't always easy with a big group! A huge thank you to Trudy, Ozzy, Andrew, and Mary for their outstanding service. They made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and ensured our team was well taken care of. Traveling as a group can be stressful, but their kindness and efficiency made it seamless. Highly recommend Bushfire Kitchen for anyone looking for fresh, high-quality food at great prices with top-notch service. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town!

Wendy was wonderful: friendly, attentive, and refreshingly honest. When I asked if the corned beef hash was homemade, she didn't hesitate to say no, which I really appreciated. That kind of straightforward service goes a long way. I switched to the avocado toast with feta, diced tomatoes, and a side salad. The toast itself with sunny-side-up eggs was perfect--fresh, flavorful, and just right. The salad dressing wasn't my favorite, so next time I'll simply ask to leave the salad off. Easy fix. My husband ordered the BW Benny and absolutely loved it. He cleaned the plate, which is always the best endorsement. We also shared a cappuccino that was excellent--smooth and well-made. Overall, a solid breakfast experience with great service and a lovely atmosphere. We'll be back!

I chose to sit inside near the open windows overlooking the street, which was nice for people-watching. My server came over immediately to introduce herself and was beyond friendly and attentive throughout my visit. Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with everything else. For starters, it was extremely hot inside. The windows were open, but there was absolutely no breeze, so it made dining pretty uncomfortable. I ordered: * Breakfast Burrito: This honestly has to be one of the worst breakfast burritos I've ever had. It was extremely dry and had absolutely no seasoning or flavor. The salsa served with it was way too spicy for me, so I asked for another dipping sauce. The chipotle sauce was much better and definitely helped. I was also disappointed that they used what tasted like processed/fake guacamole rather than fresh avocado. * Irish Coffee: This was actually really enjoyable! It came out at the perfect temperature and had a nice balance without being overly sweet. My friend ordered the Eggs Benedict and was also very unhappy with his meal. Overall, it's a cute spot and the service was great, but unfortunately the uncomfortable temperature and disappointing food really took away from the experience. I wanted to like it, but based on what we ordered, I wouldn't return.

We came for Sunday brunch and arrived about 15 minutes early. Although about half the tables were empty, the host told us, "You can't sit until it is your appointment time." The greeting felt unnecessarily unwelcoming and set a disappointing tone for the visit. We were also looking forward to the live music, but the singer was placed far away from the guests, seemingly performing for a separate area rather than the restaurant as a whole. As shown in the attached photo, he was left alone while performing. It did not feel respectful of his talent, and it did not match the live-music atmosphere we expected. The food was okay, but overall we would rate it 3/10. The highlight of the visit was the service: Sunny and the other servers were truly amazing and deserve 5/5. Their kindness and effort prevented our overall rating from being even lower. We hope the restaurant can return to the warm, welcoming, fun atmosphere it used to have. It has so much potential, and we would love to see it get back to its original good vibes

But I digress, back to the parking. Be prepared to look for a spot to park, but atleast parking is ample and shaded. I left TOAST before 2PM and people were still driving into the parking lot! I walked to TOAST a little reluctant, seeing how it's inside a corporate building. Once inside, I followed the signs. The interior is a little sterile but it is a much larger and pleasant space than I expected. No music. It is very quiet inside. There is a pretty outside patio in the back that caught my eye but I chose to sit inside. The booth seating is very comfortable. This place is a solid choice if you're single btw. You can sit pretty much anywhere with your laptop or if you just want to read a book and enjoy some fine ass coffee in peace, you can! I love coffee and espresso, and it turns out their Mexican Mocha is quite the fabulous diva. The mocha cup is a glorious, oversized mug with the most delicious sprinkled cinnamon on top. It was hot, rich and delicious. I missed breakfast (it's over by 11:30AM, so I'll return to try their French Toast and their Filipino Breakfast burrito). I decided to get the "Ain't Your Classic Burger" cheeseburger, which is on the Sandwich side of their menu. That Chuck brisket patty, you guys... ooh, it's to DIE for. Tender. Moist. Gigantic. A whopper size of a burger with the perfect amount of melted cheese, pickles, spring lettuce (yay! No sad iceberg crap), chopped fresh red onions (my favorite), brown butter dijonaise (ugh so good), and a secret sauce that was actually worth being called a secret. I didn't add extras, but you can actually add an egg or bacon to your burger. High Cholesterol lovers can unite and rejoice here lol. it's worth noting how fresh all of the ingredients tasted. The brioche bun was a nice choice. So was the crisp spring mix lettuce, the juicy tomato and crunchy red onion bits. I ordered a side of fries and tbh, they were average. They reminded me of an attempt on McD's french fries. They did come in a cute stainless steel fry basket and it does elevate the plate presentation, but I might skip those next time. It was the cheeseburger that had my full attention here... well, and the delightful mocha. No pictures this time. I devoured everything. I think this is a solid cafe on this side of town. It's hard to find zero wait times, available and comfortable seating, fresh food, solid portions, and continual peacefulness in a morning/early lunch establishment. I'll be back soon.

It's a spacious cafe with plenty of tables both inside and outside on the patio. It would be nice to come here for a meeting or study but they close early at 2pm so even for a late lunch I felt a bit rushed to get out. The menu online shows both breakfast and lunch items but they are only served during their respective meal hours. Service was friendly and professional. Although there is free parking, it is in a shared lot with several offices and other restaurants and it was hard to find parking. Now the food, I felt it was really overpriced and not tasty. My salad was an appetizer size, super salty to the point it was off putting, and it had mint in it which made the taste weird for an Asian salad. With chicken added, the small salad was $17. I also got a soda which was half ice so I felt ripped off of another $3. I was still hungry after paying $21 for my meal. My colleague also felt her farmer's market salad was bland and not filling. Carmel Valley has a lot of food options. I don't know if I'd come back or recommend this place for others.

I will admit that the calamari appetizer was good. It was not outstanding as it used to be. My husband tried the Del Mar Crab Ravioli. It was fair and he would not order it again. I know that he was hungry when he finished. I ordered the crispy skinned duck. It was my favorite dish here. But this time, the skin was not crispy and the duck was dry and over cooked. So disappointing. The dishes used to be so large that we always had food to take home. Now, it doesn't taste good enough to take home and the portions are smaller. Believe it or not, this was not the first thing that happened. Because of past experience, we now order our food in stages. First we order our beverages. Then we wait a short while and order any starters. After we are done with the starters, we order our entrees. We do not want all of the food to come out of the kitchen at the same time as has happened in the past. When the bill came, I left a gift card and my credit card. When the server came back, the gift card was not fully used, but we did not get it back. I found a receipt the a little more than a dollar that was charged on my credit card. It turned out that the gift card was enough for the bill alone without charging my credit card. The gift card had a small amoutn on it, but the card itself was not returned. When I questioned it, the server told us that the bartender told her to do it this way. The whole transaction was wrong!! It is obvious to us that the people working there did not have a clue how to run the transaction. Also, there didn't seem to be anyone in charge on that night. We were extremely disappointed on many levels. At one time this was a 4-5 star restaurant. Not any more.
