What a charming brunch spot! If you're looking for fresh, farm to table food at a reasonable price, this is a must. I've been here for brunch a few times and always leave satisfied. First of all they serve always hot, always fresh Dogwood coffee so you're guaranteed a great cup of joe. The menu items are simple and fresh. Not to mention the bakery case full of hand crafted sweets. Specialty cupcakes, cookies, caramels oh my! One of my favorites is the champagne cupcake. I first came here for brunch on a late Saturday morning. We were looking for a convenient spot close by before heading to the Children's Theatre and MIA. I have to say I was impressed from the moment I stepped into the Copper Hen. It is cozy, charming and has so much character. I was obsessed with the cupcake and dessert case that welcomes you as you walk in. I liked this place so much I came back in for happy hour with my girlfriend. HH offers great food options here. The Farmhouse salad and short rib and blue cheese farmer's toast are must try's. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. I think (in addition to the great food and service) the nice thing here is you can come most any time of day. Hours are 8-11 pm depending upon what you're craving. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, dinner or happy hour. They also take reservations. The Copper Hen is known for it's farm to table food. Don't waste anymore time and experience it for yourself soon! The beginnings of my foodie adventures. This was the first restaurant that I went to for the sole purpose of trying to join the ranks of the "Minneapolis Foodies of Instagram" haha The entire ambiance of the place screams "We sell $3 slices of toast served on a plank of wood" but somehow through all of the hipster-ness there is still a great menu to explore! What I got: Chicken Pot Pie: One of the classics! The rosemary mixed in with the meat and veggies still lingers on my tongue to this day! I still remember that sad feeling after the last bite when I realized that there was no more left. :( Boozy Cake: The ever-popular 21+ dessert that's delicious and interactive at the same time! The syringe added some great novelty but the taste wasn't all that amazing to me. There is an ever changing dessert menu with different flavor varieties though so I might have just gotten the wrong flavor that day. I have heard of Copper Hen for a long time and we finally had the chance to come here. I ordered the: 1. Bacon blueberry cupcake 2. Woke up crappy toast Both of the dishes were amazing! The cupcake, even though looking like a cupcake, didn't have that soft and chewy texture; it was thick, dense, and more cornbread-like texture. It was an interesting blend between blueberry and bacon, sweet and salty that was oddly addicting. The crab cake was awesome. You can taste the freshness of the avocado spread and the tomato, which blended so well with a very thick cut bacon (and I mean THICK). The crab cake were SOOOO GOOD!! It was moist, thick and you could definitely taste the crab in it! The only downside was that it was a bit pricey so I'd say save it for a special occasion! read more

Started of the new year with a brunch here. Make sure to have a reservation as its always full. Decor was very rustic and it very open. Slightly noisier for me , but we were seated in a quieter area near the bar. We ordered boozy cup cake and golden butter vanilla cupcakes & for the drink Copper hen bloody. All the cup cakes were little dry and boozy cup cake was moist once you injected the liquor but it became sour for my palate. Bloody with bacon and blueberry cup cake was a unique combination.They had some other unique cocktails and local beers as well. For the food we ordered farmers brunch which had small portions of every thing and copper hen omelette. Bread pudding french toast that came in farmers brunch was the best thing i had here , so flavourful moist and crispy outside. Creamed spinach was the best side for the egg and toast. While the omelette was nothing special , all the ingredients very so fresh. Root hash needed some seasoning but it screamed fresh and earthy. This place is adorable. It's such a cute place to go with girlfriends out to brunch or even just a happy hour. Their desserts are amazing! I'm such a huge fan of the carrot cake cupcakes. Their potato hash for brunch is so great too. French toast is amazing. Their charcuterie board for happy hour is a winner and they have this amazing flatbread on their happy hour menu as well. Eat Street does get pretty busy, but if you're patient enough and keep an eye out you should be able to find street parking fairly easily. If not, there is a parking lot across the street that customers can park in. The lighting in there is perfect.. a lot of natural light, and it's as light and airy as you would imagine. read more

We were excited to go here for restaurant week and that's where it ended. Other than the tea, the food was awful. We started with a meat & cheese platter. When we asked what was included he said it was a charcuterie board and when we questioned further he had to go ask and told us different names of the items each time we asked. FYI...something to spread on the bread would have been nice. When the meat & cheese tray came it was ripped up slices of cheese and some slices of salami. Very underwhelming. We then ordered dinner. Cacio de Pepe for myself and chicken pot pie for my friend. When it came out my pasta was over cooked, dry and had no flavor beyond pepper. My friends pot pie was flavorless and the vegetables were not cooked and crunchy. I do not recommend dinner at all. If you choose try brunch. We came here for brunch on a Sunday at 11:45. Thank gosh we had reservations or we would have had to wait 45 mins to an hour. You can make reservations online on open table (highly recommend that). I got the biscuits and gravy and they were ok. Very dry and definitely could use more gravy. My husband got the breakfast salad and said it was good. The breakfast cupcake is to die for! Definitely recommend. We also loved our carrot cake and champagne cupcake we took home for dessert! read more

"The Copper Hen"... it just screams "rustic" (and I love it). The only other appropriate name that could top it is "Hip Farm-to-Table Wood-Beamed Rustic Taste-Bud-Party and Eddison-Lightbulbed Cupcake Fun Fest". I came here recently for a late lunch during the weekday, and was happy to find a free street parking spot out front, regardless of their lot across the street. I walked in and was in awe of their decor - high ceilings, wood beams, stringed lighting, gorgeous dark hardwood floors - basically it is the loft I've always wanted but will never have. I browsed their menu and ordered The Perfect Marriage charcuterie & cheese board. The night prior, I had taken "The 5 Languages of Love" quiz for funsies, and I got "Words of Affirmation". Well I don't know if this waitress knew this, because she was so kind and affirming when I was ordering. Like, "Don't worry, take your time!" and "Oh wow, really great choice!" and "You are so smart and great at ordering off of a menu, you must be some sort of genius! Can you sign my apron?" I might have made one of those up... but let's just conclude that the service was impeccable and spoke to my heart. Annnd of course, the food did too. My server came over with a wooden board laden with a stunning display of a vegan's nightmare. She knew what each component was called and where/how it was sourced. There wasn't anything I didn't like. The strawberry jam was amazing on everything, and I loved the cheddar/blue cheese (best of both worlds!). Oh, and prosciutto! Things were going so well that I added the smashed potatoes to my order and a red velvet cupcake to go. The potatoes could have been cooked a little longer to add crispiness, but the flavor was there and the potatoes were tender. But unfortunately, I thought my cupcake was dry. I believe that if Meg Ryan (or at least the roles she's played in movies) reincarnated into a restaurant, it would look something like Copper Hen. It's beautiful, charming, and laid back, and stepping inside seems like you're being transported to some romantic summer wedding or laid back neighborhood block party since the space includes low-hanging white lights, large wooden pillars, country-like ceramic tiles, and beautiful wooden floors and furniture. You can tell that the owners put a lot of love and thought into the designing process. It's perfect for date nights (in fact, the second time I visited my boo actually saw an acquaintance on a first date) or a lovely brunch with friends. But aside from the décor, Copper Hen's palatable rustic dishes and fresh baked goods would still make this place awesome. Smashed Potato Fries: Nothing fancy, but totally filling. Creme fraich goes well with the potatoes. Steak & Eggs Tartare: Steak & Eggs Tartare: Aww, hell yeah. Chopped up beef heart with quail egg yolk. Soooo good. Baked Macaroni and Cheese: I am no mac and cheese expert, but this was damn good. My favorite dish by far. Hungarian Lamb Goulash: Pretty tasty. I recommend it for folks that like their food on the saltier side. Cupcakes: Either can be eaten in a mason jar (which I guess doesn't make it a cupcake) or in its original cupcake form. They offer a birthday cake, red velvet, chocolate, and some others I can't recall off the top of my head. Two things: 1) My favorite is the red velvet and 2) Thankfully, the frosting isn't cloyingly sweet. Service: Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable - what more can one ask for? This place is a beautiful and cozy addition to Whittier. I love seeing the amazing new places that are popping up in the neighborhood. The space is gorgeous. It's a casual eatery with DAMN good food (similar to French Meadow but even better -- is that even possible??). I stopped in at noon for a lunch on a Thursday. It was pretty much empty when I arrived but when I left, all the tables were full. I ordered the Sherwood Forest: Wild Acres smoked turkey, brie, tart apple, caramelized onions, and aioli, on a toasted whole wheat bread I got a side of the smashed potatoes (they come with peppercorn creme fraiche). Everything was perfectly executed. I look forward to coming back to try more items on the menu. I wouldn't recommend this place to hang out and work. They limit sharing their wi-fi password because it crashes if too many people are on it. I'm no techie but that just seems wrong. read more

A wonderful little farm-to-table restaurant in Minneapolis' historic Whittier neighborhood, Copper Hen is a warm, inviting slice of goodness, with friendly service, an intimate setting and wonderful food. Visiting recently with a large party, we started with rich plates of Lobster Fries, breads and soft pretzels, before diving into a selection of hearty entrees. While I was fairly underwhelmed by my Chicken Pot Pie (a bit lacking in flavor), I LOVED the Baked Mac n' Cheese my colleague was kind enough to share with me. With a homemade cheese sauce, huge noodles and a pretzel bread crumb topping, it was succulent and delicious. The beer and cocktail menu was also top-notch, with some truly excellent local brews on tap and in bottles. My only regret is that we didn't save room for one of their renowned cakes or desserts. Copper Hen is the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, a holiday party or a casual gathering with friends. Highly recommended. read more

What a beautiful restaurant & bakery. I have been watching this space change from a run-down empty building to The Copper Hen, and it is a welcome addition to Eat Street. S. Mpls has its Blackbird. Lowry has French Meadow. Whitter now has its Copper Hen, and I think it's better than other local New American restaurants. I had a coffee and scone, and they were better than anything similar on the rest of Eat Street, including desserts at other coffee shops. I think this restaurant is going to be in my top three places on Nicollet. On a late, warm weekend afternoon, I strolled in to pick up a dessert. The person in front seemed shy-cute, and he lit up when talking about each detail he loved about the cinnamon roll, especially how fine-grained the spices were. (Restaurants should definitely hire more smart, shy people.) Cupcakes come in paper cups ($3.50) or mason jars ($5.50). I didn't want a mason jar cupcake, so someone checked the back for more. A minute later, the baker appeared a few inches from me with a sad face and said that they had more cupcakes but they were frozen. I said I'd take a frozen one to-go and eat it later. Then she smiled! By the time I paid, I saw that the owner and baker both closed the little brown bakery box with the gluten-free chocolate cupcake inside. Cute teamwork. :) On a different visit, I had lunch here with a friend. She ordered the arugula salad with potatoes and I ordered a BLT with gluten-free bread. The ingredients were so fresh, the lettuce tasted buttery and the tomato slices were sweet. The bacon was thick and melted in my mouth. Easily, this is the best BLT I've ever had. Chocolate cookie: Bigger than your hand, slightly chewy, and on the crispy side. Not my favorite, but those who like crispy cookies will probably like it. Brown butter scone: I took one home, microwaved it for half a minute, and put in in a 350F oven for 8 minutes. It came out perfect, balanced between sweet and savory. I went here with a friend over lunch last week and it was the cutest place! Copper Hen screams rustic with it's cute decor. We sat by the wall, and just FYI - in the winter, that wall is freezing, so I might've kept my jacket on... Freeze baby. Anyway, my friend had the farmhouse salad and I ordered the grandma's grilled cheese. It's not like a regular grilled cheese, it has poached pear, brie, gruyere, fig mostarda & basil, on a toasted baguette, then if you want to add prosciutto it's $3 more. I'm just realizing this now... but my waitress said the prosciutto was great on it, which I replied "okay!" and then she added it and charged me $3 more... I was wondering why my grilled cheese ripped my wallet of $16...... we were in too much of a rush for me to investigate that, but the waitress should've told us that it was extra instead of just adding it without mentioning. When I ate my grilled cheese, the prosciutto was my least favorite part to be honest - I was picking it out half the time. Something about it was off, and it actually made me feel a little queasy. It was my friend's birthday, so we ordered a red velvet cupcake. Our waitress said that they don't do anything for birthdays and can't give it to us for free, but she can put a candle in it and light it... which was fine, so I ordered anyway. When she brought it to the table, it had no candle and it was not lit. LOL. I didn't want to make it awkward and have her take it away and redo that whole thing, so my friend and I just laughed about it. I will say though... that cupcake was soooo good! I LOVE this place! Before our lunch, I asked them to pack up some bacon blueberry muffins to go, but they looked so good I couldn't help sneaking one out of the box before our meal came. It's more of a scone, crumbly with juicy blueberries and shards of bacon throughout and another piece on top for good measure. We had the soup of the day, which the guy at the counter called "a sort of thick potato soup". Didn't sound very enticing, especially since I normally hate potato soups because they are grainy, bland and overloaded with gloppy cream. But it was rainy out, so I ordered one anyway. I'm glad I did, because this one had such rich earthy flavor, with different sized pebbles of potatoes and shreds of stewed chicken that remained distinct despite almost melting into the soup. My favorite was the kale salad with roasted mushrooms, poached egg, ricotta and candied bacon. The delicate greens were dressed (not drenched) in a tangy vinaigrette, and when you put your fork into the egg, it oozes rich yolk all over everything to pulls all the elements together. But will the remaining cupcakes in the box make it through the car ride home? Maybe. Maybe not... read more

So what did I come here to get? Coffee and some cupcake. I left the place with a red velvet mason jar cake, dogwood drip coffee and a bag of Chris B. Bacon caramels. Here's my take on the cupcake in the mason jar. The icing was good but the cake itself was dry and rather dull. I am used to moist and airy cupcakes and this just fell short of expectation. I am a huge cupcake fan and it looks like I'll be going somewhere else in pursuit of better cupcakes. Perhaps their regular cupcakes are better. The coffee was meh. It wasn't even hot. I hate luke warm coffee and that's exactly how it was served. What a disappointment. I've had better coffee at Dunn Bros. The bacon caramels though were off the chain. They're like crack. I treat myself to one every day. The bacon bits are so awesome in these caramels. I went there late afternoon on a weekday and they were not busy at all. Adorbs! I wish I new about this place earlier. It is charming and warm and just makes you want to hang! I loved my male server he was cute and funny and loved his glasses--I am sure somebody would like to rip those off of him and tussle his hair a little. (so maybe I had a little adult beverage and entered this setting and got a little heady and fantasized a bit!) The food display makes you drool--it is clean, shiny, and oh the choices---I wanted them all. They have bottomless mimosa's--yes they do! I met up with some friends here for a leisurely Saturday afternoon catch up. It was a pretty solid experience. The space is HUGE. We all commented on how we didn't expect there to be so much space on the inside. We also thought it was very different from the usual Eat Street offerings - it's a place I'd expect to walk into in South Minneapolis/Linden Hills/Kenwood - not that that's a bad thing. It's super cute and inviting - very farmhouse chic. One friend got an iced latte (and said it was delicious) before the espresso machine konked out. My other friend and I were offered a ton of other options as replacements when the barista was unable to make our espresso drinks, and we both got the housemade ginger kombucha, which was far superior to the bottled variety I'm used to. My friends and I all went with the vegetarian option for the brunch special, which was a mushroom/spinach/potato hash topped with poached egg and hollandaise. I had ordered my hash with the hollandaise on the side, and it didn't come out with the plates. I didn't say anything at first because I assumed she couldn't carry it along with the 3 plates, but then when the server didn't come back 5 minutes later, I called it a loss and decided the universe didn't think I needed the extra calories. The hash was satisfying, crispy, and buttery. The poached egg was done just well enough that the yolk was runny and creamy, but the white was still completely firm. A good poached egg is so hard to do. However, I only got a few slices of mushroom, which was a little disappointing. While there was nothing really *special* about the hash, and no surprising flavors, it was comfort food like I needed that day. Lastly, the restrooms were just as cute as the rest of the restaurant, and as you walk to the back of the space you can peek into the pastry workstation and watch some serious frosting slathering happen. Kind of a fun touch to have that in the open space behind the espresso bar. I'm looking forward to trying them for lunch and dinner. I had the veggie omelet and it was basically just spinach and the biggest mushrooms so that if you took a bite you'd mostly just get a mouthful of mushroom and a little egg. Would have been more palatable if they were cut up. Also upgraded to the "root veg hash" side and it was just a bunch of partially cooked carrots. Like a plate full of carrots. Barely cooked. Maybe a couple pieces of hard potato. It was a joke. My brunch mates had the shrimp y toast and farmers breakfast and everyone was underwhelmed. I want to write you about my experience at your establishment on Sunday, August 28. I am not a resident of MN but visit it often. I have dined at the Copper Hen multiple times and have recommended to so many people. On this trip, I brought first time MN friends for the fair and to explore. One part of my trip was to have brunch at the Copper Hen. I am writing about the service we received. The food was excellent as always. However the experience was sub par. First I made reservation and we arrived, the hostess said we would be seat in a minute. The restaurant was not full and not very busy. The hostess walked around and cleaned up tables, talked to others in the kitchen and cleaned up the hostess stand. Again, the restaurant was not busy. It took 10 minutes to seat us. We didn't even sit at a table she was cleaning. I do want to bring up a point of her attire. I am very fashionable myself and understand and appreciate fashion. However I do not think it is appropriate for someone to wear a sheer, backshirt and no bra. Her breast was hanging and flopping every time she took a step. I could clearly see her nipples and everything around it. I was quite disturbing and inappropriate. After we sat down, we waited over 10 minutes for any one to greet the table. We got up and asked the hostess, and her response was "we were triple seat after you arrived. Someone will be there soon." I do not think this response was very customer friendly. I was in the restaurant industry prior and understand when the restaurants get into the weeds. Again, the restaurant was not busy. The server could have simply greeted up and even told us he was busy and for us to give him a couple of moments. None of this occurred. After 5 more minutes of waiting, the server finally came to the table and the rest of the experience just went down hill. I took over 10 minutes to get us drinks. Another 10 minutes to come back and take our order. Never came back to check on us. Forgot to refill our water and forgot about the refill of coffee two times. Every time he came to the table, we was in a rush to leave to take care of his other tables. I literally watched him for 10 mins to try to get his attention to no avail. Either he was having a bad day or was just an asshole, he should not be a server representing a restaurant that promotes itself a farm to table atmosphere. He ultimately came back and dropped off the check, the wrong check let alone, he never returned to the table and asked another server to run my card. My recommendation is to train your servers to regardless of their mode and how busy, the profession of a server to ensure the customer have a positive experience. I'm a huge freak for desserts and my sweet tooth knows no limits. I try to stop in here at least once a month to get their boozy cupcake, which roatates flavors monthly. I've thought about ordering other treats, but always end up with the boozy cupcake, because go big or go home. I've never had a bad one, but I think last month's was the best yet! It was espresso tres leches flavor. Love the mini mason jars that they come in. The bacon blueberry breakfast muffin is also awesome, but they only sell them on the weekends now, which is a HUGE bummer. Service is usually good, although sometimes can be slow. However, it's definitely worth stopping in for their amazing baked goods. They are on my brunch list, but haven't made it in yet to try it. read more

This was probably my favorite find in my first year of medical school. The first time I went was the summer of 2015 when I think it was less popular. The most recent time I went a couple months ago, I know the Copper Hen had been on a show and advertised on the radio a lot so the popularity massively increased and I was unaware they now took reservations (they did not accept reservations when I went my first time). So I had to deduct a star from one of my favorite spots because they made me wait over an hour, maybe 2 HOURS for a table for only 2 people .-____-' Luckily, I can sometimes be patient...sometimes. Their food has never disappointed though. I have been here 3 times, 2 brunch and 1 dinner. For brunch I have had their french toast which was delicious. The more you know me, the more you know I love french toast. I forgot now what bread they used for their french toast but it was not your normal slice of white bread (banana bread maybe?). I have also tried their eggs Benedict which had a perfectly runny poach egg. Their bread and jam basket is so cute and fun. One thing I did not enjoy as much was their potatoes. I thought they were a bit undercooked and under seasoned. They also have mimosas which makes for a higher class brunch. For dinner I have tried their pizza and risotto, both of which I had no complaints. My friend and I also had some moscato that night with our dinner which was adventurous for us after a Friday night of studying. I have tried a couple of their cupcakes including their alcohol infused ones. My favorite one that I've tried was unfortunately seasonal - it was their sweet potato cupcake. OMG I wanted to go back the next day just for that. Their champagne mason jar cupcake was a little dry for me. The strawberry one was good though. I will continue to recommend this place to people as one of my fav spots in MN. Their decor is adorable and totally my style. It might just be me (probably is just me), but I tend to think of The Copper Hen as Pinterest IRL. That dedication to Faux-mey (faux+homey) Country decor and presentation screams Pinterest DIY to me. Thankfully, Copper Hen is more than form! The food is very good. I've had hand pulled mozz on baked polenta, cassoulet, ratatouille, sandwiches, the blueberry bacon muffin, and various cupcakes. Interestingly, the dinner entrees are better than the desserts and way better than the sandwiches. Still, none of it blew my mind, but everything tasted solid and a hop-skip and away from home cooking by a cook with very good taste. I keep wondering why I'm unable to rave about Copper Hen, and I think it comes down my inability to shell out for cozy. The food is portioned so you can fit a salad, dinner, and dessert in one sitting. Each of the individual items cost two or more dollars than average, so that means Copper Hen is not your daily restaurant, and for the neighborhood, it's probably not your weekly stop. If the focus is good food and good feel, then I think the only way I'd be happy with Copper Hen would be to bring a large, but not too large, group of my coziest friends for a meal on the hipper side of rustic in a faux-mey country restaurant on gentrifying Eat Street. ...Then again, maybe the opposite is true. Brunch here is amazing!! I've been twice and always recommend it to people looking for a cute brunch spot with delicious food. The other nice thing is that you can make reservations online to avoid the wait. The parking can be tricky on Nicolette but you can usually find a side street that's not too far of a hike. I've had the farmers brunch and the hen omleette. The farmers brunch was the ideal plate because it comes with a little of everything. The only thing I didn't like is that it's served altogether on one plate so your French toast might get mixed in with your eggs and hash. I wish they would serve the eggs and hash together and French toast separately. The hen omelette is more of a classic option and very filling. Don't pass up the bottomless mimosas. They will keep your glass full at all times and you will leave feeling a little happier. read more

I've been here twice and both times have been great. The first time was a total accident, no reservations on a busy Sunday and three of us stumbled in not sure what to expect. Even though they were packed - the hostess was very professional and helped us get a seat at the bar (the only place you can sit without reservations). Bar service was great, bartender was very attentive and our food was phenomenal. I had two friends visiting from the east coast a few month later and I needed to show them that Minneapolis is not the back water country town they were picturing in their head. With the Icute interior and delicious food, I knew Copper Hen was a place I had to take them too. This time I made reservations and was seated right away. One of those visiting (more of a friend of a friend), painstakingly asked our server where each item came from. Were these eggs cage free? Can you describe what your definition of cage free is? How far away is the farm? How long have you worked with them? Have you seen that skit from Portlandia about farm to table where they actually go to visit the farm before placing the order? It was about as close to that skit as you could get without actually driving to the farm. Well our waiter was very professional and patient with her, even when I was internally screaming to just order already. Fiiiiiiiiiiinally, she settled on something and our orders were placed. Just as delicious as the first time! And I even braved the idea of a lavender latte - cannot believe I waited so long in life to finally try a lavender latte!!! They are incredible. Restaurant Week 2014 Recap: TCH is one of the coziest and inviting restaurants I've ever been in. It was a smooth process making the reservation for my group on their website, and when I had to add another person there was no problem. My party of 9 arrived at 7:30 pm and we were seated at a large rustic cabin style picnic table. Flannel, denim and casual chic is the standard. The whole time I felt like I was having a home cooked meal. The service was attentive and friendly even with the franticness of restaurant week. Starters: *Smashed Potato Fries - roasted potatoes drenched in olive oil, delicious because potatoes are generally always an awesome dish but I felt there was too much olive oil. *Soft Pretzels & Beer Cheese Basket - I'm not the biggest fan of pretzels so I ordered this on a whim. The pretzels were cold, hard and chewy which reenforced why I don't like them and I was not the only one sad about the state of the pretzels at my table. The Beer Cheese sauce was normal but nothing outstanding. 1st course: Pumpkin Curry Soup with Toasted Pumpkin Seeds. This creamy perfect balance of pumpkin and curry flavors was a delight. The soup was aromatic and spot on for the fall season, and not overwhelmingly spicy. 2nd course: Apple Cider Braised Pork and Sweet Potato Souffle with Sage and Candied Bacon. Yum and YUM! I could not get enough of the fall apart pork contrasted with the sweetness of the light yet rich sweet potato, plus the specks of candied bacon. Every bite made me crave more. 3rd course: Signature Carrot Cupcake - to die for. I don't think words can do TCH's bakery items justice, you just need to go there and try them. My experience placing a pastry order with your restaurant was a disappointment. I naturally assumed the order would be ready for me to pick up and pay for, but no. It took the associate considerable time to find a box and package the items. The packaging itself was less than adequate as the closure was torn and would not seal. A poorly designed and constructed box meant to transport delicate items. When I asked for a means to secure the box I was handed a roll of masking tape, not even transparent scotch tape. TACKY. Needless to say, I was embarrassed to present this as a gift, which it was. The opportunity for marketing through nice presentation is not even a consideration. I was expecting at the very least a sturdy box with a nice label attached representing your business. Extremely disappointing. The cupcakes were decent but I will not venture to place another order again based on this negative experience. read more
