I've gone twice first time was with a friend me and him had never been to a bar so we said why not this one since it's close by, left immediately. got mad dogged by the whole bar as soon as we walked in maybe bcz we we're the...

youngest?(21). 2nd time was today bcz my gf mom left her phone there and same as last time everyone stared me down. Some guy almost fought over some girl, super packed, everyone looked over 30. Unless you're tryna crack an older person, maybe get down, or hear people argue then this a perfect place for you. no judgement on the staff at all or the drinks security was actually chill. Just letting people know the type of people you run into here are a hit or miss and so far only met the misses or maybe come at an earlier time.

angrily said "do NOT smoke your weed or your vapes inside the bar!!" Shooed his hands. ..and walked away. I don't smoke, neither does the person that came with me. Then a man sitting next to us, pulls out his vape pen and puffs out smoke. So we call over the owner, and tell him who is actually smoking. And what does he do? POLITELY asks the man to not smoke inside and to make sure he does that stuff outside. The owner gave a half assed apology, while still being rude, and walked away. Definitely soured our entire experience. I don't live in the area anyway but I highly doubt I'd be back. If the color of my skin makes you assume I smoke weed and to be angry and aggressive straight off the bat when interacting with me, then my money isn't going to be spent here. Dear reader please ensure you are of a lighter hue when visiting this establishment, especially with the owner ;(

Cool bar to hang out at. They don't have food, so you need to bring your own snacks, but they do have chips. The service is good, and the environment is nice. Also, the music is good. After eight or nine, the drinks are pretty good too -- not watered down and reasonably priced. My fave spot to turn up after a long week with my hubby

First time at Corner Bar to watch a semi final soccer game and it was the spot! Nick and Gustavo put the ambience to it. I can only image the World Cup here. Appreciate the hospitality, will back again.

I've been coming to this bar for a while now, and it never disappoints. The space and people are always inviting, relaxed, and just the right amount of lively. What sets this place apart is the staff. While they are consistently busy being friendly and attentive, they seem to enjoy what they do genuinely. Whether you're a regular or just dropping in, they make you feel welcome every time.

Very small intimate bar, the staff is very friendly! Even the ones that don't speak English. The music machine was super high tech, took a minute to figure out. THE DRINKS ARE BOMB. Strong & BOMB! They are NOT stingy w/ the liquor. We had 2 strawberry mango Bellinis and 6 margaritas (in total split between two people) The ONLY Downside is THEY DO NOT serve food, I repeat THE DO NOT SERVE FOOD. Literally the only downside, because some bar wings would of SLAPPED w/ the drinks! I recommend for sure just don't come on a empty stomach!

Great local bar! Love coming here with all my friends, always a good time. Great atmosphere and dope spot to catch the games, play some pool, hear some great music especially with the DJ's. Great Bar awesome service the owner/bartender Albert makes awesome drinks and enjoys his guest he greets them and give them that one on one attention there are a lot of regulars and they have so much respect for him and have nothing but good to say. I didnt stop by this place before he took over and renamed it but im assuming he did a wonderful job with an upgrade i went in on Wednesday night and it was packed inside i was also told to stop by on sundays for their sunday specials and goodies they offer. Nice little bar! The owner is cool as hell and so are the customers. We came on a Sunday at about 6pm to watch the football game. Drinks were strong and very affordable and they have a large variety. 1 pool table maybe for half time. Thanks for the hospitality! read more

I LOVE The Corner Bar! My boyfriend and I were trying to find a cool bar in the Hawthorne/Gardena area one night....before we made it to the corner bar, we hit up two other bars and we weren't feeling the vibes, so we left both places immediately! I found The Corner Bar on Yelp and hoped the third time would be a charm and low and behold, it twas! The bartender Alberto is very attentive, charming and cool! When he's the busiest, he is very aware of who needs to be helped and always makes eye contact to ensure that he's gonna make his way to ya! There is a beer and a shot deal for $7 everyday, but my fav is the Elysian Space Dust IPA for only $6, with an 8% abv! Whoop whoop! Score! There is a jukebox, which I love (a girl likes to be in control of some music)! And on weekend nights I believe there is usually a DJ. He keeps the current games on the TVs of course, so claim your seat early on game days! Beware, there isn't a food menu, but he has snacks for sale, and also he allows food to be delivered (or brought in) from the local restaurants! Some nights there is a taco/burger stand right next to the parking lot! You gotta stop by if you're ever in the area. :) read more

Best neighborhood bar in Hawthorne! Been making an entrance for almost 2 months now & hands down to a really well put establishment. Would never have thought so from the exterior. I finally went to the corner bar on a Monday and let me tell you, cool vibes, amazing drinks, funny and down ass bartenders ! Met this guy named chucky (heard him from friends saying chucky is a cool bartender) and dude was amazing !! Funny guy, and his drinks are amazing!! His customer service was the best! If I could give no stars I would, the bartender was extremely rude to the customers. Later on I found out he was the owner and felt entitled to talk to ppl that way. As the night continued he kept drinking with certain customers and his attitude only got worse. I asked if I could get a drink and he said very rudely he would let me know when he felt he was ready to serve me. Extremely nasty attitude. Would I recommend no for service like that I'd rather stay at home ! read more

A good friend of mine and I were about to catch a flight back home but didn't want to sit at an expensive airport bar so we came here. The atmosphere is divey with pool tables and a large amount of seating. Albert the owner hooked it up with tank tops from a promo party he had had and bottle openers for everyone. No respect for woman!! Drinks are cheap but if you want to get disrespected or get into a fight this is the right place for you. I've never been to a place where I felt so insulted by the employees and guest. Only reason I give for such behavior is they must be related to the owner! Never will come back!! Another ten minutes or so of still not being checked on and we finally decided to leave. I'm out the twelve bucks for my drink but I consider it a twelve dollar lesson in not coming back here again. Sadly, the only reason we chose to get drinks at this bar was because I insisted I wanted a drink before heading home.

The bathroom I used was gender neutral, and there is a convenient parking lot right in front. They do not serve food here, so some folks bring their own. We will definitely bring a meal with us next time! To top it all off, the service was very friendly. They were so patient explaining the whole menu to our large group.

I came on here to write a review for this place but then quickly realized I don't have the time nor the patience for this. I will say this the owners need to higher management to run the bar they shouldn't be doing it. Mid 40-50 years old they run the bar like it's there backyard bbq. Biased as hell, and hell of unfriendly. I've seen there own family come there with weapons and cause more drama then the people they kick out for less. Fights every other night personally witnessed staff beating up patrons that attend an watch the owner laugh about it an threaten others with the word "86" like as if people fear not being able to go back. Drug use is common I wouldn't bring your girlfriend or wife here for a good time you might end up fighting someone over it. read more

This place gets over packed. The type of people that go here are drug addicts. If you want to risk getting shot or getting COVID on a Friday night then this is your spot. Nobody gets padded down the bouncers are only there to kick you out when it's time to go home. Rather than controlling the amount of people that go in and making sure they don't have weapons. My husband literally got pushed and shoved out by the owner because he was gay, as we got kicked out other guests we're screaming hateful comments towards us and the owner kept yelling at us to leave , WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Absolutely Love this bar, great place to have a drink, plenty of TVs to have a watch sports, jukebox to listen to music and/or just plain chill!
