Great little spot in town to dine in. So many things on the menu to accompany most anyone's taste. the desert looked so amazing we took 4 to go to share with others. we were to full after eating but didn't want to miss trying deserts. my husband had the liver and onions. you can tell a good chef if they can cook liver right. it was the best part! can't wait to try the deserts! it seemed family oriented and everyone was very happy. the yelp directions didn't work right so we called and they gave us the address. we got there late and they were still very friendly. Favorite restaurant in a 35 mile radius. Great menu, awesome specials, fairly priced and a very good staff. The owner is always making rounds talking with the customers and is one of the nicest guys you could hope to meet. I eat here at least twice a week and I have never had a bad meal. Usual breakfast is the veggie omelette with gyro meat. I have also used Corner Cafe for box lunches (20-30 people) and was incredibly impressed with the value and quality of the meals. I recently went here to eat (first time for me) with my family and it was pretty good. Parking: Parking in downtown Griffin is always "hit or miss". We got lucky and ended up with a parking spot right across the street from the restaurant. The Menu: Their menu is large and has great variety. Anyone can find something they'll enjoy here. The service: Absolutely fantastic! My 5 year old cousin wanted pancakes which were on the menu but they were no longer serving since it was dinner time. While we were trying to find something else on the menu that she would like the waitress asked the owner if he'd be willing to have pancakes made for her anyway. He made it happen and made my little cousin very happy! The Food: We ordered artichoke dip for an appetizer. It was pretty good but the portion size was a little too small for a shareable appetizer. Having a small and large size option would be great. I had the manicotti. The portion size for it was perfect, in fact I had leftovers to take home. It wasn't my favorite manicotti. I wasn't a fan of the flavor of the marinara sauce. I've heard from other people that they enjoy the manicotti though so it's just personal preference. It's definitely worth trying. Overall: 4.5 stars is what I would actually give due to the appetizer size and the manicotti not being as good as I had hoped for, but I had to round up to 5 stars for the outstanding service. I'd certainly come back to try other items. I missed out on dessert this go around and the cakes looked really good so I'll be saving room for cake next time. read more

Place was packed a quarter before 12 so expect it to be a busy place for lunch. Service was quick, food came quick. I ordered the patty melt. It tasted good but it was nothing special and on the small side of a lunch portion. It was just a piece of meat between 2 slices of over buttered bread with onions. Corner Cafe never disappoints! My husband had never been so we made his birthday a date night! It was very cold , but extra chairs had been set up while we waited. The owner greeted us and wished my husband a happy birthday! Our server was prompt and efficient! Salads were fresh and the dressing delicious! Entrees arrived before we finished salads. I had my favorite, manicotti! Delicious as always!!! Hubby had chopped steak and mashed potatoes! He enjoyed it!! And the birthday cheesecake was awesome! Have had dinner here several times however my wife tried the chicken parmesan and chicken breast was flat. Looked as though it had be flattened to about 1/4 inch. Don't recommend it. Tough and had no taste. Didn't resemble any chicken breast that I had seen. Probably processed from scraps. read more

Friendly staff. Food is just okay - nothing to rave over. I will say, for a large party it does offer a good size menu so everyone can find something they like plus good prices for the huge portion sizes; American, Greek, Italian, Etc. When it's just my husband and I we don't really go here because we can usually agree to pick from other restaurants that actually have specialties like pizza, Mexican, BBQ, etc. - the big menu can be overwhelming. My husband and I were looking for a "mom and pop" type restaurant, one that is not a chain restaurant, and we found it! We also had our 2 year old daughter and 5 month old son with us too. The service was great and the food was amazing!!!! I got the Eggplant Parmesan and my husband got a half rack of ribs and BBQ chicken with the garlic mashed potatoes and cole slaw. We got our daughter chicken tenders and a fruit cup, which she LOVED! Everything was absolutely wonderful! There was so much food that we both only ate half of our meals and brought the rest home! They also brought my my daughter a HUGE sugar cookie to take home with us and did not charge for it!! It was as big as the to-go box! Overall, we were thoroughly impressed, and will be returning!! I was working in Griffin on the set of The Walking Dead and visited this place many times. Sometimes three times a week. The best thing about the Corner Cafe is you can try something new every time you go. The food is pretty good but the dessert is AMAZING!!! Sometimes I just went to get their dessert. Good little cafe. It is usually busy but never had to wait more than 10 minutes. The food is above average, but not astounding. The good part of the restaurant is the selection of food. If me and my husband cannot agree what we want to eat then we go here because there is a variety of choices. Service has never disappointed. The desserts are defiantly worth a try-our friends purchased a cake from them for their birthday and it was wonderful. This is a great go-to restaurant in Griffin. The food is good I usually call in an order for pick up with no problem and I've always substituted my side salad for an extra side with no problem but when I try to order earlier it became a problem wanted to charge me $2 upcharge and had to put two or three different people on the phone for 1 freaking order. read more

Came in a few weeks ago and asked if the pimento cheese was made there and the waitress told me yes that it is homemade and that I was going to love it. I was disappointed because it taste like store bought, which. I dislike. Other than that it was good. But I won't get anything with pimento cheese on it from there again. read more

I wanted to give Corner Cafe another try and once again the food underwhelming. I had the chicken Philly sub, the vegetables were undercooked and the chicken tasted like rubber and had zero seasoning. The fries are definitely frozen from a bag. I am assuming everything they do is all from frozen meats, nothing seems to be fresh made. They should focus on condensing their menu and try to make each item with fresh ingredients. I went for the first time today. They seemed short staffed. I had to wait for about 10 mins before I could even place my to go order. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and pasta salad to go. The pasta salad was in one of those containers that you would put salad dressing in...literally three bites was all that was in there. For $6.99 I would think you would get a small bowl of it with the sandwich. The chicken salad was ok...nothing to great but I would order it again. The pasta salad was good but dry. I will go back but I will not order pasta salad again if that is all you get for the $. I would order the bag of chips. Oh and I did not get the deli pickle that was supposed to come with the sandwich either. Prices are a little high for the amount of food you get. read more

After hearing rave reviews from friends, we decided to pop in to look at the menu! The owner was so welcoming, like a long lost relative welcomed home, that we stayed and were more than pleasantly surprised!
