Horrible service and gross food! The eggs Benedict had hard eggs. The gravy is cold and tasteless. The hash browns are cold and soggy, I witnessed a server pouring apple juice into a cup then pouring it out only to pour orange juice in the same cup and giving it to the customer. The clean up girl answered the phone while sticking her fingers in two used cups that customers were obviously drinking out of. To then grabbing silverware to set the table for more customers. This girl didn't wash her hands or anything. (Totally disgusting) The service is horrible. If you want to be ignored, eat cold tasteless soggy food and pay and outrageous price then eat at this place! You won't be disappointed! In Post Falls Idaho for work and looking for some good breakfast food ( for lunch, since my hotel free breakfast was cereal and an English muffin). I love breakfast so in I went. Located literally on the corner in a little strip mall, this is a classic American breakfast and lunch diner. The small, local kind if place where the customers come in not simply to get a meal, but to sit, chat and read their newspaper with their coffee. It's not fine dining, but that's just fine with me. Reasonably priced, I got a good sized meal with orange juice for $10.00. Ordered the Full Sail Breakfast Special if I recall the name correctly. Three eggs, two bacon, two big sausage links with choice of hash browns (my option) or breakfast potatoes, plus toast, a small pancake or a homemade biscuit with gravy (went with the biscuit). The food was good, bacon just crispy, plenty of hash browns just crispy on the one side, sausages good (slight grease but not too bad), with good eggs. The biscuit was very good, not dry, and the country gravy had a little spice kick to it from being liberally seasoned with black pepper. If you're looking for the classic little local breakfast place, where the coffee flows all the time and the locals hang out for a while over their papers, this is your place. read more

Love this place! We live in Rathdrum and used to eat breakfast there every Saturday but The Corner Cafe in Post Falls is much better! We don't mind the drive because it is worth it! We like the menu variety and having gluten free options makes it even better. I usually get the meat lovers scramble and it is excellent! My husband likes the gluten free biscuits and gravy. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. This is by far our favorite breakfast restaurant in the area! read more

Best breakfast we've had in several states. Generous portions, quality food and prepared as we requested. Service was excellent, friendly and timely. French toast was made from craft bread with the right amount of cinnamon and sweetness. Syrup was heated. Egg scramble was hearty and nice proportions of ham, potatoes and cheese. We went for breakfast today and Faye, our waitress, informed us they were very short-staffed with only one cook and it would take a while to take our order so as not to overwhelm the cook. We observed her with other customers and she was always very apologetic and upbeat with everyone. As a former customer service manager for years, I was very impressed with her ability to maintain her positive attitude. As usual, our food was delivered very hot and delicious. I was very unhappy with the customer service that we were given when we went in! We had never been there before so thought we would try it and see what it was like but unfortunately we didn't get any service! People came in after us and they were getting help before us and a gentlemen walked in and his order was taken before he even sat down! The lady told us about 5 or 6 times she would be right there to take our order and never ended up at our table. So we ended up leaving very disappointed and an unfortunate experience! We stopped in here for breakfast as we were leaving town and it didn't disappoint. There are a ton of options including vegetarian and gluten free. The only downside is that the coffee wasn't that great. Besides that, it was awesome! read more

I used to come in all the time to enjoy the food and the wait staff. It wasn't long till I started noticing the owners and the way they acted towards their employees. Robaire, the owner, would sit back at the front counter inappropriately staring at the girls all day while Lisa, the other owner, would sneak over and still the tips off the tables. When confronted about their actions, they would be quick to hide behind the (right to work state laws) and threaten jobs.That was pretty bad, but the worst was how they spoke to their employees infront of the whole restaurant. I normally don't take the time to write reviews but this place deserves less than one star. My husband and I had to decided to go out for breakfast and had stumbled upon this diner. When we walked inside we weren't greeted at all, we were unaware if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. After a few minutes of waiting a waitress pointed at a table and said "that one is free." My husband and I sat down and received our menus water and coffee. We waited for 30 min before a waitress came up and took our menus but forgot to take our order along with them. We had to flag down a waitress to take our order and continued to wait another hour for our food which was bland and cold. I was so hungry at that point I didn't even complain. As my husband and I were eating I found egg shells in my food and the potatoes were barely edible. After we finished eating we proceeded to wait an additional 20 min for our bill. They were not understaffed just purely ignorant to their customers needs. Do not recommend and will not be coming back. read more

We stumbled into this mom n' pop cafe because it was the only independent place we could find open for lunch on July 4th.  You know how there are times you go to grandma's house and the dish is spot on, then there are times you don't care for it but try your best to find quality in the effort?  Thats how I felt, the quality of food wasn't great, not bad mind you, just average.   The staff seemed to be related or at least old friends with each other and most customers.  That's the impression I got, so it kind of felt like you were at someone else's home for dinner, you can't be too critical.  I had the chicken tortilla soup, with tiny pieces of chicken and no tortilla chips, just crackers.  It was a bless your heart you tried moment.  The soup base was good, just not much of anything to it.  My husband had the country scramble.  Visually it wasn't something I'd ever try, but he really liked it.  It was so huge the eggs kept trying to slide off the edge of the plate.  Very friendly staff, casual and clean atmosphere with most items on menu for breakfast.   Basically, if you're in the mood for grandma's kitchen, give it a try. read more

This weekend I was served a black pancake, & the most burnt bacon for $11. My waitress tried her best to fix my food. I saw her ask the cook for a new one, which was returned with inappropriate yelling. I couldn't believe my eyes. Best biscuits in town, they serve a mild sausage gravy as a side which is nice as you aren't worried about plain gravy versus sausage gravy and price differences. The wait staff is awesome, welcoming and funny. The servings are enormous, the prices remain very very affordable. What a sweet small place in a corner of Post Falls. Was getting my snow tires put on down the road and was starving, decided to walk to this place since I was actually early enough to visit a breakfast restaurant. Waitresses/hostess were really friendly, and *extremely* attentive. Wasn't even a quarter way thru my cup of coffee when 1 of 2 waitress' had come to do her rounds and asked if I wanted more!!! Yummy food as well, only downside was most of my plate was hash browns and one *very small* fried egg. Wish I had a larger egg on my plate for an order with eggs, however I am not a huge fan of gravy, and this place's gravy is for sure the BEST I've ever had & probably will ever have!! Crazy delicious, but probably the best part about my experience was I felt welcomed and totally okay and accepted coming in to eat by myself. I've tried to do so in other small restaurants as I had no one to go with but wanted to try it out, and I got many looks & stares for sitting & eating alone. This place seemed to have no problem at all with that, which was very calming and reassuring.
