We had reservations here for dinner ahead of the closing night for the Denver Film Festival. We started with an appetizer called Devils on Horseback, which were dates stuffed with cheese, wrapped in bacon. Delicious. My friend ordered the wedge salad with extra dressing and shrimp and I had the pepper-crusted salmon. They both turned out to be very good. My friend asked for extra dressing, and I would say that was a mistake because it was like a blue cheese soup at the bottom of her bowl. Tip: Order your dressing on the side. We finished with a warm Carmel apple cake topped with ice cream that was delicious. We saw the people at the table next to us enjoying it and knew we were going to have to try it. I've been to The Corner Office 3-4 times now for brunch and each time has always been enjoyable. This past weekend I came in with some girlfriends to celebrate my engagement and we had a BLAST! This place is cute! We would not have stopped here, but since we were staying at the Curtis, it was very convenient to have breakfast here. So glad we did. I've been here several times and appreciate the ever changing menu, both food and drinks. There are plenty of options for small bites, appetizers, sides and large entrees. Over the last year, I've had the ricotta cheese with olive oil and lemon dish served with flatbread, fried Brussels sprouts, manchego cheese bites, the beer and goat cheese salad which is a permanent fixture, the hangar steak which I dream about, the ramen with a perfectly soft boiled egg, the burger and fries, kung pao beef, tikka masala and the scallops. This week, I shared the beet, walnut, goat cheese and arugula salad which wass perfect, crunchy and zesty with a hint of lemon. My hubby and I also ordered the Kung Pao Beef which was super spicy but tender and delicious and the Chicken Tikka Masala which also had a kick to it. We were in Denver for the weekend, and after reading several Yelp reviews we decided to check out the corner office for brunch. Bottomless mimosas were the main reason we chose this spot. But what it made it even better were the freshly squeezed juices. Pineapple was my favorite. But the ginger flavor was really good too. We started with the fried pickles and they were AH-MAZING! I was a little leery when they arrived in spears, but I was so pleased and enjoyed every bite. The sauce that came with them was perfect. We all got sandwiches and they were all good. I had the fried chicken sandwich. The bread was so thick I had to take the top off and eat the bottom because it was too huge. It was fluffy and fresh but my mouth couldn't open that wide lol. The chicken breast was fried to perfection. Our glasses never stayed empty. We didn't even get a chance to see the bottom of the glass. The Corner office is a straight shot from across the street when you come out hungry from the theater. Very convenient! As a group of four we dropped by after watching an awesome show. I ordered the Local Sausage and fries. It came sliced and with two sauces. The fries? Awesome! The two sausages that came was tasty but one of the pale looking sausage one looked funny.:) Like it's an old, sad sack. Nevertheless it still tasted good! Our waiter was great! It is attached to the hotel I stay at (The Curtis), so my colleagues, and I decided to eat here. The vibe here is comfortable, swanky and chic. Lots of cute girls and gay people. The decent selection of sandwiches, appetizers, soups were ample to snack on while drinking their fabulous cocktails. I had their Quinoa burger with sweet potato fries, and iced tea. Delish! We had tickets for a 1:30 show at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. We arrived at The Corner Office at 11:15 for lunch. We didn't have a reservation and was told that there would be an hour wait. We waited the entire hour then were seated in an isolated corner at a way to tall table. The waitress came over pretty quickly and brought us water. We told her we had tickets for a 2:30 show. She said it would be no problem. We gave our order right away. About 30 minutes later, she told us our order should be out shortly. At 1:00 I got up to see what was going on. She went in the kitchen to check. About 1:05, we got up and left for the show. We told the hostess we had to leave without lunch. She apologized, but so what. There were only 2 of us. Very bad practice to ignore customers. read more

I'm gonna start calling this "The Corner Yo-Yo." Sometimes up. Sometimes down. I guess you can never tell. Went in last night after seeing "Oklahoma!" at the DCPA (it's a great show so check it out). Neat that they had Fever-Tree Ginger Beer on their menu (= the second best ginger beer in the world:). Had the Spanish Caesar salad and the Tagliatelle with shrimp. Dessert-ed out with the beignets. They struck out on the salad and beignets and hit a home run on the pasta. The be-shrimped tagliatelle was homemade and 5 stars wonderful. The rest not so good. In fact, just downright bad. The salad was delivered with frozen lettuce. And ya know I've never once met a person who likes frozen lettuce. To end the meal we ordered the beignets asking whether they could all be stuffed with dark chocolate. We were told that we had to have the pre-made 3 beignets selection of dark choc / white choc / hazelnut--no substitutions allowed. So what ended up on our plate? Two white choc and 1 hazelnut beignets. Well that sucked. And when we gently and nicely noted that fact no correction or other accommodation was made. That equals a big fail. Beware of the bottomless mimosas!! They will hit you hard, so it's a good thing that they have excellent food. With Covid, I think they were a little understaffed, so there was a wait time, but they were very accommodating when last call hit and they filled us up to the top so we got our money's worth!! Went here for dinner and drinks last night. The drinks were good but definitely could have been a bit stronger- the sweetness to alcohol ratio was a bit off. Still good nonetheless! Food was pretty good and portions were big! Highly recommend the shrimp and grits. I would skip the jerk chicken Mac and cheese - huge portion which is great but wasn't very cheesey and was just topped with chicken. My friend had the bibimbap which looked amazing. We were downtown by the Performing Arts Center and decided to grab dinner here one evening. The location is super convenient especially if you're here to see a show and need to get a pre theater meal. The place is very cute, sleek, open. It has a nice bar with plenty of space and big booths for larger groups. We were seated shortly after walking in. It wasn't very busy at all by the looks of it but the space is huge so I couldn't really tell. Our server was super friendly. The menu is pretty large with no true cohesive theme. There is a little bit of every type of cuisine on the menu which is great in my opinion. We ordered the crab cake appetizer to share and I have to say I was actually impressed! Born and raised in Maryland, I know a good crab cake. It came with a great corn slaw and salad. The dish as a whole was great. I would have loved to just eat two of these by myself as my meal. This is probably the only decent crab cake I've had in Denver so far. For our entrees, we ordered the smoked bbq ribs and the bibimbap. The smoked ribs came with French fries which I didn't get a chance to try but was told were great. The ribs had good flavor. The only negative I would point out is that we expected smoked ribs. And these were just bbq ribs. I'm not personally a fan of bbq ribs. I prefer smoked ribs. And these weren't what I would have ordered. Lucky for me, it wasn't my dinner. My bibimbap was so tasty! It came out in a stone bowl so it had the nice crispy rice and was beautifully presented. I ate everything. For dessert we ordered the beignets. They were stuffed with white chocolate, chocolate, and Nutella. We were told it was the lightest dessert on the menu but while it was very delicious, I would have to say that it was far from a light dessert. This place oozes classy, cool in a fun way and offers a great menu. Having said that, we have only ever ordered breakfast/brunch, but the service is so consistent that we feel compelled to visit every time we are in Denver. The unique spins on classic breakfast fare (apparently now including an $18 AYCE basic brunch buffet til 10 am if you prefer) and the over and above service from every staff member we've ever interacted with is what keeps us coming back. Food-wise the house Corned Beef Hash is uniquely amazing and the waffles are some of the lightest and fluffiest we've had. We've had the Mexican bfast entrees and the are well-executed. The secret weapon though is the WAY-crispy morning potatoes that come with most entrees and in the hash - they are stellar. Their martini bar is top-notch too, including bloodies and mimosas. The atmosphere plays a significant part here, but the food and service make this place a slam dunk! Oh and did we mention that there's currently a Yelp deal to unlock in the process! We waited for 30 minutes and finally were sat at the smallest table in the bar. Ordered the poke bowl which was a 1/4 cup of ahi with 4 day old rice and some soy sauce slopped on top. My finance got the nicoise salad which came with just olive oil. The service was slow but our server was nice. The whole experience was disappointing and very expensive. Will not be going back. The eggs Benedict had a nice amount of crab plus a corn, tomato, onion salsa on top that was a nice touch. The waffles were 2 waffles sandwiches so perfect for splitting. So after heading downtown to see Seinfeld last night, we wanted a drink and a nosh and didn't want to walk in the rain to get it. From the Performing Arts Center our options are limited, but thought we would give TCO (across the street) a go. Man, am I glad we did. We plunked down in the back with views of the performing arts complex which was hosting some sort of prom/debutante/wedding thing and had a prime people watching spot. The seats are simple, but surprising comfy. I love the white leather accents on the seating on the booths with the lime walls. It makes it feel clean and fresh. Quick friendly service got us some water and a couple beers. Our waiter came by and got our orders and was nothing but helpful. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles (my hubby the Steak Frites). Since mine takes a bit longer we were off to our second drink, the Cherry Cola. I sugary sweet alcoholic version of a cherry coke. Our waiter suggested a lime to cut the sweet and it was the perfect addition. Finally my chicken and waffles arrived and brought with it a heavenly aroma. The chicken was perched on top of a big waffle and sprinkled with powered sugar. It was out of this world. The chick was crispy, but juicy. The waffle was light. I loved it all! The hubby got the steak and said it was cooked to perfection (he is picky too, so that is saying a lot). We winded up our dinner with one more drink - the Mimosa Martini - which was a citrusy amped up version of the brunch staple. Yummy. All in all it was great. Great service. Nice vibe. Delicious food. When heading to the Denver Center for the Performing Arts to see a play, symphony, or the like, it's always lovely to grab dinner and/or drinks beforehand, and The Corner Office is an extremely convenient place to do so as it's right across the street. Last night (a Friday!) my fiancé and I had tickets for a show and because it was a workday we knew or time for dining would be minimal, I made reservations here. We were extra glad of the proximity because the weather was atrocious! While convenience is a plus, it's also important that the food and drink are special since you're out for a night on the town, and that they are! I had the prime rib and my fiancé had the jeager schnitzel. Both were tasty and hearty on this chilly night, though my man did eat all of his and half of mine! We also shared a tiramisu for dessert. I was uber excited to try TCO, but maybe the experience would've been better had we just hopped in for late night drinks. My chicken and waffles were pretty lackluster. Dry is the first descriptor that comes to mind. I had to ask the waitress to bring some syrup to drizzle over my dish. Most of the chicken was dark meat, so I wished there were more of the white variety. Overall, it was the weakest meal of the trip, so if you give this joint a try (I inadvertently typed dry at first. An excellent brunch. The atmosphere is amazing, and my 12PM reservation for four was seated at a round table with cozy plaid wing-back chairs. Two of us opted for the $14 bottomless mimosas, which were AWESOME for both the price and the quality. You get a choice of many juices, and rather than mixing them in advance, they bring you a glass of champagne and 6 oz carafes of the juices of your choice. The other two had bloody marys, which, according to them, were quite tasty (although they were $12 each, so I think the mimosas are a better deal if you plan on lingering). We ordered all sorts of things, from omelettes, to a traditional breakfast to a croquet monsieur, and all were amazing. They have THE BEST breakfast potatoes. They were so well seasoned and perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Even though the restaurant was busy, our server was attentive and made sure every need was met. Our mimosas were consistently refilled with champagne. All prices are extremely reasonable for downtown Denver, and you definitely get your money's worth.
