This was our go-to restaurant when coming to the DCPA until today. We had a reservation which we were early for, checked in, and sent to sit at the bar. 15 minutes after our reservation time, we checked with the host who hadn't checked us in the first time. We were then seated almost immediately and our order was taken. After another 30 minutes of watching tables around us receiving their meals (our waitress hadn't been back by), we left. We stopped back at the host who basically blew us off. It's unfortunate, because we liked the food and recommended TCO to people asking for restaurants downtown. Won't make that mistake again. You guys blew it. There's no excuse for this poor customer service. read more

Love this place! It's fun and lively and they have fantastic food with awesome cocktails. We went for a Saturday morning brunch, Caitlyn was our waitress. She was seriously so great, she was attentive and so so so personable- really welcoming and so friendly. When we go back we will definitely request her every time. This place has good food at a decent-ish price and it's definitely geared for a younger group. This isn't the place to take MeeMaw for a 50¢ decaf coffee and 2 over medium eggs, its a bottomless mimosa to chase a hangover away type of vibe. 10/10 recommend. read more

I really want to like this place but my food was just plain not good. Loved the atmosphere, service was great. The group I was with seemed to enjoy their food and the portions were pretty generous. I'm just disappointed since ice never met a pasta I didn't like, this was really a first. The tagliatelle with mushrooms was literally JUST that. Dry pasta with some mushrooms and maybe a few pieces of what maybe looking like sundried tomato. No sauce. It was so dry and had pretty much no flavor at all. I added pepper and that didn't help. Asked for some parmesan, still no flavor at all. I'd go back to try some other dishes but definitely would not recommend that meal. I was honestly baffled as to how pasta could be so bland and dry, it was like sticky and hard when I picked it up with my fork. read more

I was very disappointed this time around. I've been here a few times in the past and it was always amazing. I'll start with the service: 1st off I made a reservation about a month in advance. Arrived a few minutes early with most of the dining room empty (the bar area was full) and they seated us right behind the front door behind the hostess where all the traffic goes by. I was very shocked at this I would of thought this would of been the last table they would fill. 2nd, our waiter Darin who seemed almost annoyed that he had to wait on people set down a carafe of water (didn't even bother to fill our glasses) and asks what can we get started (we had literally just sat down and pulled out our phones to pull up them menu. Few minutes later he come back we order 2 drinks and he walks off, not even giving us a chance to order an app. The drinks are served by a different person (didn't catch her name) but she was very enthusiastic and told us the these where her favorite. Our immediate reaction was can we have her as our server. Darin comes back asks how are drinks are and we then order an app he says ok and quickly walks away without any hesitation (again with the attitude that he hates his job). Darin dropped of our app and quickly went on his way. After we had a bite he came back and ask if that would be all. No we said we also would like to order dinner. He said "Oh, ok", we asked if there were any specials he said. "Um no not really" "all we have are $7 glasses of wine" (I was looking at the drinks menu they are normally only $7). So we ordered our food once again with out any reaction the things he says is to ask how I would like my steak cooked. The Food arrives (I'll review the food later) Darin come by once to ask how things are. and then again when I'm almost done to order another drink. My glass has been empty for almost 20 mins now. He had walked buy a few times without a glance in our direction I know I was trying to get his attention. My now after dinner drink arrives. We chit chat for a bit and try and get Darin's attention again and after the 2nd or 3rd time with him walking by we do and ask for our check, pay and leave. I also forgot to mention the fire alarm was going off for 20 minutes during our meal. The manager never came buy to apologize the only reaction we got was from Darin to the area saying sorry this building is also a hotel and office so it's probably their fault. I would of thought at the vary least someone would come by to each table and apologize and may offer to pay for a drink or two from each table. I mean it's the fire alarm they are not subtle it's hard to enjoy your time when they are going off. Ok, the food: Ordered Devil's on a Horseback for an appetizer. We had ordered them last time and they were amazing. This time they were just sub par. The bacon wasn't really crispy the dates weren't sweet. Main course. My significate other had the tco classic Bolognese. The pasta was overcooked and gummy. the Bolognese seemed like it came out of a can. It had no flavor what so ever and once again we were both left underwhelmed. I ordered the steak au poivre. The only reason why I gave this 1 stars was the steak was cooked to perfection a wonderful medium rare. And that was the only good thing about it. It tasted like someone defrosted it and put in on the grill without any seasoning not even salt. It tasted like I got the $10 Sirloin from Denny's. the green peppercorn demi tasted straight out of a can again and the fries were limp and soggy and on the verge of being cold. I'm almost positive this will be the last time I come here. Which is unfortunately for it was the perfect spot before going to a show across the street. read more

I was staying at the Curtis Hotel for business and could have eaten at The Corner Office for every meal (I had 3 meals there), but then I would have looked like a stalker!!! Lunch: (after checking in to the hotel).I wanted a sandwich but wasn't all that hungry for a whole sandwich so I ordered a half corned beef sammie with a bowl of tomato soup and a side salad. Delish!!! I am also a fan of their black tea iced tea (I think I had 4 refills). Breakfast: I can't speak on the coffee because there is a Starbucks two stores down, but the breakfast buffet was tasty. Great fresh fruit, and the bacon and sausage was yummers. Dinner: (take out) I spied the Ramen dish the first time I read the menu and couldn't stop thinking about it.... I had to order it on the last night in town. Who can resist crispy pork belly??? I stayed at the Curtis (attached hotel) and ate here because Conference food is not appealing and it was convenient and reasonably priced. I most enjoyed their French Dip and Fries. The beef was "melt in your mouth" quality. A couple of days later, I had Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup. The soup was a bit spicy but good. The sandwich was too greasy for my taste. Seriously, noodles and company is better. The ramen was better and had a lot of pork, but $21? Ok. Red wine is not kept at the correct temperature so expect it to be whatever temp the restaurant is. Nice service I suppose. Tables waaaaaay too close together. Against my will I heard the entire plot of 'The Barber of Seville' in lengthy description. I have been to The Corner Office on several occasions, sometimes to eat and sometimes to just grab a drink. Every time the service has been the same, which can only be described as dismal. The final straw occurred last week when I had family in town for the holidays. They asked me to meet them for brunch and despite my previous experiences, I decided to join. We sat at the bar hoping to get better service, I don't feel the need to go into details, but it took us over an hour to get our food and a single round of drinks. Which was very surprising as the restaurant was only at about 30% capacity. Management was very nice and friendly when we needed to ask for condiments and silverware. I recently came here for dinner before going to see a show at the Denver Performing Arts Center. The service was great but the food was just mediocre. Everything is overpriced for the quality of the food. While the location is great if you're checking out a show I wouldn't eat here again. Just finished up a little dinner at The Corner Office and left a happy customer. Thanks to a Yelp offer I started off with a complimentary appetizer. Sure they were rolls, but they were a nice twist on a classic. Two rolls, paired with a black garlic aioli (decent) and house-made hoisin (delicious), arrived perfectly crispy and delightfully stuffed with noodles and shrimp. I then moved to the house burger which was good, but not cooked exactly how I ordered it. It's sort of an upscale twist on a Big Mac, but was neither best, nor worst, burger I've had. For a side I chose the side salad - composed of arugula, jicama, cherry tomatoes and a vinaigrette. This was fine, and the jicama, too, was a pleasant surprise. The bowl had a hard time containing the whole thing, though. Although you can't really blame the bowl for that. Overall, I would rate the food as a three stars. But the welcoming environment courtesy of Matt the bartender and Amanda the server deserved an added star. Thanks TCO for the temporary relief from hunger! read more

Awesome restaurant! I went to the Corner Office for my first time last night, which happened to be the night before they close for a few months due to the tighter Denver restrictions on restaurants. The atmosphere is colorful and comfortable, the food is delicious, and the service is top notch. My server, Taylor, was very personable and helped me decide on my entree. I also chatted a bit with the GM and he was genuine and thoughtful. The honey and sea salt Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever tasted. I'll definitely be back as soon as they reopen! read more

Seven of us dined here pre theater. We did make a 5:30 reservation to allot enough time, and we were finished in plenty of time. We had not been here for about a year and were pleasantly surprised at the remodel. There was a very large table right in front that could have seated nine or ten. Our orders were taken promptly and the food was delivered without delay. Our waitress, Heather, was efficient and pleasant. Comparing the physical layout to the previous set up, I would say that it is way more pleasant than before. Had a long overdue ladies brunch here on Saturday and overall, would definitely recommend! Our server was AWESOME and damn it I need to get better with names! Tbh, I was in need of some "hair of the dog" and my first few minutes there were a bit blurry lol. Moving on, they have bottomless mimosas with various juice options and this is always a great thing! Even better is when your server brings you a whopping glass of champagne and the juice on the side :) (This may not be standard for all of the servers but I would ask for it if you like your mimosas heavy on the champagne side and who doesn't?!?) The lowdown on the food - I definitely recommend the Langos flatbread to start - the flavors were amazing (we had a vegetarian in the group so they were nice enough to put the ham on the side)! Among the 3 of us, we had the Biscuits and Gravy (I am a Midwest girl and these did NOT disappoint), the Quiche Bruschetta which our server highly recommended and was 100% right on how amazing it was! (I will probably be getting this as an appetizer to share next time we go). We also had the Crab Benedict (for that vegetarian I mentioned) and not a bite was left! I can't say enough good things about the food! The only hiccup was that they were a little slow so our server got cut but assured us that they would still come by and top off our mimosas - that did not happen. Only after we called someone over did they come back by and she did not make it a secret that she was annoyed to be asked to do so. Ordered some appetizers since it was too late to eat a large meal. -Brussels sprouts- they were crispy and had a honey glaze on them delish!!! (I am currently trying to replicate these at home) - calamari- not sure what was all in it but it all went well together -duck wrapped in bacon- it wasn't anything special -chocolate beignets- these were chocolate cream filled & was pretty good but would not order again...too rich read more

This is probably my favorite spot downtown, especially during happy hour. The vibe is sexy & sleek, with tons of eye candy for people watching while you sip on your tasty cocktail. I just left and wanted to share how wonderful my experience was. I walked in from the hotel lobby so it was strange to approach the host stand from behind. However, your female hostess was in the middle of talking to a male host and stopped her conversation to acknowledge me. It was so nice to see hosts alert and friendly! Not common you find such warmth at the front door. I wanted to sit outside and do some work so they offered me a great people-watching hightop table. I was greeted by a server Scott and I already knew what I wanted but he told me the pepper crusted salmon was the best to add on the chop salad. I could not believe how fast everything came out. I honestly think I had my salad within 6 minutes of ordering. How amazing!! Overall, what a great experience. It is obvious the staff cares about their jobs.
