Absolutely love Westside, and this one in particular! I travel between Humboldt and Seattle pretty frequently and we have Westside locations here, but each one is a little different - Arcata is just hands down the best. The bread/cheese sticks and chicken bacon ranch pizza are my go-to favorites - I don't always go in (delivery is my hero) but everyone I've ever interacted with there has been great. The owner, Traci, was my manager at Papa Murphy's for over 2 years. Let me tell you - Traci is by far the most hands-on and meticulous manager I've ever had. I remember her being on her hands and knees scrubbing walls, floors, nooks and crannies when it was slow because she cared about the appearance and cleanliness of the store down to the smallest detail. Nothing is overlooked when Traci is in charge. She knows what she's doing. Anyone that says they saw cockroaches or got sick from this establishment is probably on drugs and got sick from said drugs. I've eaten at Westside a few times and each time was delightful. No bugs in site. read more

This place is disgusting. The bathroom has poop on the wall and smells like it hasn't been cleaned in a month, there are mouse droppings everywhere, and when I told the owner I saw a cockroach, she brushed it off as "oh a beetle must have gotten in. We get those from time to time." I did not eat their pizza but my husband did anyway and was up sick throwing up all night. If I could give this place one star I would. Definitely reported to the health department. My advice is to stay away from this business at ALL costs, unless you're into eating insects, bacteria, and calling in sick in the morning. read more

My first time ordering here and it was a great experience! I ordered a custom pizza and I love how they were flexible with my requests. I ordered a medium pizza half tropical heat and half veg gourmet with extra pesto sauce instead of cheese. It tasted amazing! Gotta be honest, I tried 2 other "higher Yelp rated" spots before these guys and 1 put me on hold for over 5 minutes, the other hung up on me lol Best thing that could have happened because these guys turned out to be great. I ordered a medium one topping pizza over the phone. The phone etiquette was a really positive experience. She then tells me the pizza will be ready in 15 minutes so I get there in about 16 minutes and immediately I am greeted upon walking in. The lady at the counter tracy is helping me and is very kind and helpful. My pizza was ready as soon as I got up to the counter and it smells so delightful and is fire hot. The pizza itself tasted really good however I think they could add more sauce next time as I personally felt it was not enough. There is no indoor dining yet at this business. Everyone wears a mask and follows Covid precautions. This place also always has coupons for really good deals. Just got to look for them or even ask the people at front. I got a four topping pizza, bread sticks, and 3 sauces for just $17. That is with their 25% off discount for ordering online. Even at $22 thats a fair fair price. Was ready in 20 mins and the staff was very friendly & nice. Pizza and breadsticks both taste good. A little soft & doughy which tastes good but I like a little more crispy pizza. We were blamed for the location not being able to deliver our pizza. They could not locate our address and dialed the wrong phone number to try and tell us. They offered to deliver our cold pizza and said it was our fault they couldn't deliver it. With GPS and asking directions there is no reason to not deliver our pizza. There is really no excuse for the treatment we received. Whoever we talked to is the worst person I've ever experienced in any customer service industry. Over and over she blamed us. I am usually not one to frequent Westside Pizza, as I had some very unappetizing pizza at their Fortuna location. I wanted to grab a quick bite at this Arcata location and I was presently surprised. They had a $5 lunch special that included 2 slices of pizza and a fountain drink. My husband and I decided to share the lunch special, and they offered us a second fountain drink free of charge. The reason for four stars is because the pizza is REALLY good don't get me wrong there's just something in it that doesn't sit well with my stomach.
