First time here in vacation, wanted fish and chips but they were out, so ordered Seafood Fra Diavolo along with complementary breed and butter to share between 2 is us and it was more than enough. Mixed cocktail was sweet and yummy with the food. Next time they will have fish & chips! Definite recommend.

We saw great reviews about this place and so we decided to try it. We did like it so much that we went back a second time however, I think that they're talking about it somewhere where a lot of beachgoers can hang out on the outside deck and drink bar was very busy when we got there. It was early before 5 o'clock not one person and the whole entire restaurant I started walking towards the kitchen where I heard noise. The bar was busy and a chef was coming towards me and I asked him if we could have dinner and he said yes he would get somebody The first night mom and I ordered fish and chips. The french fries were delicious. The truffle fries that we ordered not so much really couldn't taste anything. They just seem like seasoned fries. Our fish and chips were delicious. The presentation was nice. However, they were extremely doughy, and it was hard to actually get to the fish Our server I think her name was Carly was lovely .

Everything was great! I saw plenty of negative reviews for this place, so I was a little apprehensive . Perhaps they have improved, but we arrived on a holiday, we were seated within a few minutes, the service and timing were great and all the food was very good. The bathrooms are clean and the ambiance of the place is really cool both inside and out. The bar area makes me want to come back to see a band play here, it has the most original and week thought out design! We shared a few apps and they were great, then we got a wood fired pizza that was also very good. Prices were fine for a beach place, service was friendly and prompt. No complaints here!

Absolutely horrible. Really bad food. Jose was the worst waiter I've ever encountered at the Jersey Shore in 30 years.

A bit pricey ($200/4 adults) even for shore food, though the food was decent. Wait staff was attentive.

I opted for outdoor seating on a perfect late evening, and it set the tone beautifully. There's something special about this spot - it sits away from the boardwalk's noise and chaos, offering a much more relaxed, genuine dining experience. I tend to gravitate toward the same order here, and for good reason. The crab cakes are outstanding - generous with the crab meat, full of flavor, and absolutely worth the price. I paired them with a Caesar salad, a solid combination. I also ordered the fried shrimp platter - the batter was spot-on, the portion was generous enough that we couldn't finish it, and, impressively, it held up well into the next morning. That's always a good sign. Don't skip the jar drinks. I went with the cucumber basil, and it was wonderfully refreshing - the kind of drink that just fits the vibe of the place perfectly. The service was prompt and on point. If you're in Atlantic City and looking for a break from the loud, touristy strip, Back Bay Ale House is where you want to be. One of my absolute favorites in AC - I'll keep coming back.

The place was beautiful but it does get crazy right at open for happy hour at the bar so make sure youre there early if you want that. There's literally a line waiting... We started off with the Shrimp Ceviche. It was super flavorful and tasted very fresh. Then we got the Grilled Octopus and it was FABULOUS! The flavor just encased your mouth when you take a bite. Its not overly chewy and the beans underneath made a great addition to each bite you took. I had NEVER tried oysters before and I finally mustered up the courage and tried one and im glad i did. It was delicious and im so glad they allow you to try just one so you don't waste money if its not your thing. The server was so nice to offer because I told her id never tried one. After that we tried the Maine and Manhattan Chowders. Both were super yummy and had a great taste and a good amount of clams.... another thing I had never tried before... WORTH IT. Then came the main course. I got the Flounder and Crab while my boyfriend got the Brazino. Both were so delicious and so light and yummy. I honestly can't say one thing i did not like about the food at this place. It was all so good. To finish off dinner, we got the Creme Brulee and an English Coffee to share. Again AMAZING. If you're ever down in Atlantic City, this place is a MUST GO!

For starters- this place easily had one of the best blue cheese dirty martinis I have had in a while- my husband ordered an old fashion and it was also perfectly made. My favorite thing on the menu had to be the octopus- just wow, I could easily order two of those- make a meal out of it and be completely satisfied- phenomenal. Oysters were fresh and the calamari was also delicious. My husband ordered the lamb and I would say it was also top tier. I ordered the steak and lobster- the lobster was fantastic but the steak tasted very gamey for me- as much as I love gamey I wasn't in the mood for that taste right there and then. Overall I would go back again in a heartbeat- great service, great food and a lovely experience.

Truly a hidden gem if you are looking for good and affordable eats that aren't overpriced. The staff is super friendly with lots of great looking fresh seafood for sale. An outgoing young man was our cashier, and then busied himself preparing for closing when we came in late on a Saturday. I ordered a sauteed flounder fish platter which came with simple mixed vegetables and coleslaw. The fish was so moist and tender and swimming in a mildly seasoned lovely broth. The veggies were seasoned and buttery, simple and delicious . The cole slaw was homemade but unremarkable. $8.99 for this healthy meal. Sign me up! Spouse ordered the soft flour shell, fried shrimp tacos and boy were they huge!
