Accidentally scheduled a reservation for the wrong day and they managed to squeeze us in on the bar where we had phenomenal food and service. Nice interior staff was nice the cocktail menu was pretty pompous in my opinion a lot of them had way too many ingredients for any real taste to possibly come through. The fried Brussel sprouts were good, but pretty much everything fried tastes good. The brick moroccan chicken was moderately disappointing the sauce was about as flavorful and complex as canned cranberry sauce, but the chicken was cooked well. The honey pork chop would have been by far the best dish of the night except for the literal 2 inch wide strip of fat in the pork chop for a 33 dollar pork chop there definitely shouldn't enormous chunks of fat in the meat! read more

Hands down best restaurant in Salem. I come from a family of chefs and love to cook and this was an amazing dinner experience. We went on a rainy Thursday evening and sat at the chefs counter. I love to see what goes on in the kitchen, the head chef was on it and put out one perfect dish after another. We started with a beer and gin cocktail, lots of craft cocktails to choose from. It was a hard choice but we opted for bone marrow and brioche bread for apps, both were so good and melted in your mouth. We had a steak with creamy sherry sauce and root vegetable for main, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was lemon cake, we were so full yet still managed to finish the whole thing. we've been to the restaurant last year. it was new and great to see a new place in town with good food. last night we decided to drop in. Things have changed. it seemed like the menu was shortened up but that might have been my imagination. The food was definitely not up to the standards leveled when they first opened. I had some chicken, it was not cooked well and the side offering was sort of like in this thimble. My beer was Luke. overall I think they better up their game or we're liable to come to the conclusion that they opened big to draw a crowd and then dialed it back to make a buck. read more

I live upstairs from this restaurant and I decided to eat there one night. First, just to start off, most of the food is pretty good that I had , but it is super salty. And the price?? Wow, not worth the cost. Not to mention that the next day when I was coming in I passed by someone that called herself the restaurant chef and she was heavily berating one of the employees, super unprofessional. I then talked to a former employee and he told me about how she talks crap about all the other staff in the restaurant when they are not around , claiming that she is better than everyone. AND she makes a solid habit of treating her employees like crap. So unless you like wasting money on overpriced food and overpriced drinks and supporting a piece of crap Chef like that then I would suggest that you never go there. read more

I have to say I was disappointed in our dining experience this last Saturday.The food was good however our service was not the best. Our server seemed more interested in other tables and chatting with his coworkers he only came to our table twice , once to take our original order and then to ask if we wanted another drink oh and of course to bring the bill. The food runners just dropped the food off at the table and didn't even try to engage in small talk. I always thinks the experience is better when your provided with a least here is the ... enjoy ! A bit of a disappointment, went last night for valentines weekend. The drinks took forever to come out, after we got 2 food dishes. When the staff was busy helping other tables the owners were doing rounds as well to help bus tables and make sure nobody was left unattended with drinks or food drop offs when it was ready! One of the best meals I've ever had, service was incredibly fast and very kind. It's loud in there, so don't expect it to be relaxing but it's got such a great energy. My husband and I came here for our anniversary. We have been excited to try this place because it is fresh to the Salem food scene. The service was excellent. Very attentive and efficient. We ordered drinks, several of the small plates, a large plate and dessert. The patatas bravas were outstanding and one of our favorites of the evening. We would come back just for those any day. For our large plate we had the cedar plank salmon. It was beautifully presented and very mild tasting. However, the flavor just wasn't there for us for the price of the entree. Finally, the dessert we ordered was the Spanish French Toast which my husband devoured. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back. Wow! So much fun! The Chef Brittni Armenta was sooo in top of everything that was going on! We sat at seats located AT the kitchen and it was so much fun to watch the staff cook, communicate with each other and get out every order with ease! We had a wonderful cook near us Trevor, that was listening to our conversations - in a very good way! He would provide information on questions we had while watching him do his magic! Attention Salem restauranteurs, YOUR BAR HAS BEEN RAISED! Just came from dinner at the newest dining spot in Salem. It did not disappoint and is something Salem has been lacking. This spot is on-point in many ways; the ambience is more sophisticated and upscale than anything I've seen in Salem to date and I love a restaurant with a kitchen that's open to the dining space. The wait staff, while still learning the ropes of a new restaurant, were attentive and hospitable. The owner and his wife were also very welcoming and hospitable and were mingling with dinner guests and assisting wait staff. The menu is interesting with small plates (or Tapas) dishes which you can easily fill up on. They were creative, tasty and hot. I asked the owner's wife if the menu would change as the selection while tasty, was not overly abundant and at 7pm on a Saturday, several of the dishes had already sold out. She was confident that changing of the menu was in their plans. Desserts were amazing (again, one of the items on the dessert menu had already sold out. The only down side of the experience, is that the two top tables are too small to accommodate multiple plates coming from the kitchen in rapid succession; there needs to be more room for this terrific new menu in this fantastic new restaurant!
