My family and I came here for breakfast on Mother's Day. It was a perfect treat. Our waitress, Vivica, was absolutely fantastic and more. She was so super sweet and patient. We had sooooooooo many questions as it was our first time here. I was really shocked when we arrived. There was like a two minute wait for a table. And even more so, after we had eaten here, I was surprised there wasn't a line out the door. What I'm telling you that their food is good, that is a straight up understatement. It is like ridiculously super amazing. All of their flavors, everything was so fresh. I was convinced her had to be somebody in the back making this pesto fresh from scratch. That pesto scramble was amazing and so good!! I love their potatoes as well. They are seasoned with a little bit of salt and paprika. Perfect. And oh my God, don't even get me started on their coffee cake. That alone I could make a meal out of it. It's perfect and absolutely needs that perfect cup of coffee. I know it sounds really silly, but it jiggles. Seriously, if you order it, shake the plate just a little bit. It jiggles with goodness. I don't know how to describe it. It is so delicious. It's not too sweet. It's super late. It's well balanced. Absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. And in case you're wondering, I believe it is $5.25 per order of coffee cake. But like I said, completely worth it. If you have read any of my other, more recent previous reviews on breakfast places in Vegas, you will have read that I am for whatever reason on this huge French toast cake. So of course, I had the French toast here. It was fantastic. All the berries and things that come with it. It was amazing. Everything was delicious and fresh. I think just amount of berries and things on the French toast alone is a meal. It's a perfect fruit salad. The restaurant runs is a very well oiled machine. Everybody helps everybody. There is something about a dynamic like that that makes a restaurant feel all that much more comfortable and like an environment, where family and friends are welcome... like home. I honestly have no idea how much money we spent on breakfast, but I really didn't care. This was one of those meals where the food, the quality of service, the quality of the entire experience was all just so worth it. And keep in mind, this is not a fancy restaurant at all. But I think that that's what also made it that much more special. This restaurant really isn't trying to do anything but happily serve their customers and promote repeat visits. But in doing so, they absolutely nailed it. If I could give more than five stars I would've. And like I said, you would be so lucky to be helped by Vivica. The main reason that I remembered her name, in my head, I'd nicknamed her THE FOX after Vivica Fox. SHE REALLY WAS SO AWESOME!!! We love coming to this place for breakfast and it all started a few years ago with my first bite of their coffee cake. Personally, I feel like it's more of a cake and not a coffee cake, which has a completely different texture, but still delicious. They only have 1 flavor available at a time. Today's flavor was cherry. I saw a tiny piece of cherry in my piece and I guess that's why they called it cherry. To me it was more of a white cake, no additional flavor. I ordered the bacon, eggs and home potatoes. Perfectly seasoned and made exactly as requested. My husband had the corned beef-hash skillet and he loved it! Excellent service. My friends and I stopped in not breakfast/brunch on Sunday May 3rd. I ordered the huevos rancheros with chorizo and it was SO good. I ate the whole thing. We also ordered the blueberry coffee cake to share. It was very crumbly as you can tell from the picture. It was good too but I was expecting something a bit more impressive after looking at the coffee cake photos in other reviews. The main concern is that the bench seats are very uncomfortable because the foam is breaking down leaving one sitting on the wood framing. That's a bit uncomfortable. My husband loves breakfast food and we decided to eat out for a spontaneous brunch date on the weekend. We were seated right away and ordered the Joe's Scramble and the Pastrami Reuben Sandwich. The atmosphere feels like a homey cute casual diner and the service was great. My husband absolutely loved his scramble! The pastrami in the sandwich was pretty dry, but the overall flavor was good. Came on a whim when our normal breakfast spot had a an hour wait and we couldn't wait for that long. So we saw that this place was close by and there wasn't a wait. When we walked in, it was a cute casual diner type of restaurant. We sat down right away and we ordered a veggie skillet with over medium eggs and coffee cake which was enough for two people. Our children ordered eggs, bacon and chocolate chip pancakes. We were quite surprised how good everything was except for the pancakes. On Sunday we were able to get right in with no wait. Our server was great, we didn't need to ask for anything and had a great personality. The menu has quite a variety of items to choose from. The coffee cake was alright with apples on top. A unique twist to coffee cake. The cake itself was slightly artificial tasting like a cheap box mix was used. I ordered the sweet potato skillet with Portuguese sausage. It was good. Very filling and generous portion. My husband and daughter got burgers. The burgers were huge. They enjoyed them. I had seen so many good reviews and I was excited to come here. However I was let down by the service and most of all the food. We had Shannon as our waitress. She was nice but it took a while for her to come take our order. Plus we had a 20% off coupon if we got the app. We had asked her about it and she said we would apply that to our order once we pay. However when she took my payment she didn't even apply the coupon like we had discussed and she couldn't reverse it. That was frustrating considering we had just spoken about it. We ordered huevos rancheros w/ a side of hash browns. The server recommended us to get the hash browns extra crispy because they typically come out soft. That meal was super oily and the hash browns were so thin and extremely crispy, we thought we were eating crispy onion strings. The biggest letdown of all was the monte cristo. The bread was extremely oily and the insides of the bread were covered in butter. The cheese was cold and not even melted. I couldn't even eat the rest of the food because it was extremely nauseating the amount of oil and butter. The waitress said majority of the meals on the menu are prepped the night prior and are reheated the day of. I wish we were told prior to ordering because I would've left and gone to Starbucks next door. Also the bathrooms needed some attention. Walked in this restaurant on a Sunday midday since I have not tried it out before. Easy to walk in and no reservations needed. The restaurant appears to be more on a family friendly, neighborhood cafe vibes. They had open windows throughout with mostly natural lighting, semi open kitchen. They have plenty of table seatings and booth options. We were seated in the booth. We were immediately attended to for our drink order and later for food order. I really liked that the menu had a lot of breakfast options which was a positive. We ordered the build your own skillet with side of coconut macadamia pancakes, chicken fried steak skillet and subbed regular potatoes for sweet potatoes, and subbed the toast for side of cinnamon roll pancakes. The portions were very huge and filling. The build your own skillet came out well, we enjoyed it. The coconut macadamia pancakes were okay, lacked the coconut macadamia flavor we were expecting. The chicken fried steak skillet was tasteful, tender steak and gravy filling. The cinnamon roll pancakes were okay. It was just cinnamon and icing topping on a regular pancake. The Cracked Egg is one of my favorites for traditional American Breakfast fare. Especially this location, because they have nice little patio where you can sit outside (weather permitting) and even bring your pup! The staff always greets you with a smile and are super friendly. My go to is the Corn Beef Hash Sunny with the Potato's well done (think crunchy), and sourdough toast. You just need to be specifically that you want the "Hash" part of the Hash to be well done as they serve this dish with potatoes as well. Best breakfast place I've had in a real long time! I ordered the Lucy's scrambled and it was so flavorful! Everyone at our table loved their meals. I love that they have a coffee cake that you can get as a side with your breakfast dish! I would love if they had more lattes, but it is more old style just coffee and juices! I was really in the mood for breakfast. The Cracked Egg is a casual breakfast/lunch place that isn't too frilly in design, very stream lined. I like that it is spacious and cheerful. I got the coffee cake with my meal. It was light and fluffy, with a sort of fruit filling on the bottom. It was tasty, but I do like my coffee cake in a more dense style with cinnamon. This was a nice change. I ordered the pesto, chicken scramble. It is a generous helping and quite delicious! I was able to have it for dinner too. The potatoes were decent and nicely seasoned. I wanted an after-church restaurant that serves breakfast. I came across this restaurant 2 weeks ago and it's only a mile from my church! I brought my daughter here today. I had the same delicious entree, chicken fried steak skillet with coffee cake. The coffee cake is not to be missed! It's a large piece served hot and today's had cherries and Oreo cookies! Outstanding!! The breakfast is large and for me, I can take half of it home for tomorrow's breakfast! The staff is very attentive and friendly! The best thing was the seasoned breakfast potatoes for myself. I ordered steak medium and it came out rare. The recooked it and it came out well done. The third time it came medium well but I just went with it. The biscuits and gravy were ok. The biscuit reminded me of a KFC biscuit (which isn't a bad thing because I love those) but the gravy was missing something. The scrambled eggs did not taste fresh cracked, it tasted like liquid eggs. Overall I would give this place one more try. Very disappointed in cracked egg on St Rose Pkwy. Today I ordered take-out for the 1st time and it was horrible. I got a waffle and it was cold (I got to my car opened the bag and checked the waffle). The restaurant was extremely busy and clearly not enough kitchen staff or they are not good with making sure the timing of the food is aligned. I also ordered eggs and bacon which weee warm at best but the waffle disgustingly cold. For18 dollars you can find a better place to serve hot food with good quality. read more

My partner and I were in the area on an early Saturday morning. We wanted to try a new breakfast restaurant, so we stopped in. Business wasn't slow, but it also wasn't extremely crowded and busy. Our server attended to us right away, and asked for our drinks as soon as we sat down. I will say, service was extremely quick. We were in and out within the hour! Onto the food: I ordered the Mexican Skillet with over medium eggs, and add avocado. My partner ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Skillet with scrambled soft eggs. We both opted for the Homemade Coffee Cake instead of the toast. It was served as an appetizer, and the cake was soooo gooodd!! My partner and I hadn't previously tried anything like it. The cake was nice and warm, and you can't ever go wrong with fresh pastries. My partner thought his skillet was a tad bit under-seasoned, and he added a lot of salt and pepper. He was able to stomach the meal afterwards. My skillet however was pretty good, but nothing that stood out. It was a good blend of savory, and spicy flavors. I do wish I ordered toast to add a textured element with my breakfast, however. The restaurant gives great diner vibes, and I would come here to eat while also getting some work done since it's peaceful, and they have a lovely outdoor seating area. This review is for the Sunset/Rainbow location. We have been going to The Cracked Egg for over 10 years. I want to start by acknowledging the servers they are great. Emily goes out of her way to make sure our meal is good. Unfortunately the food can be a little inconsistent, (cold potatoes, over cooked omelets). But nothing seriously wrong, or inedible. We have watched as the menu prices have skyrocketed, now most menu items are $20.Go look at other breakfast places and see what they charge for the same meal. Perhaps adjust your prices to be more competitive. The loyalty app needs to be fixed, it is one of the worst apps. I always need to delete it and reinstall it because it doesn't work otherwise. When you offered a free entree and are given $14.95 off of a $20.00 item, or a two for one deal with a $10.00 limit, how is this free or 2 for 1? The booths need to be reupholstere, most of the time you are sitting with a bar sticking in you butt for the meal. The restaurant as a whole needs an entire refresh (Painting, new seats, etc). With all the new places opening, the The Cracked Egg needs to start showing love to its customer base and all of it's locations. read more
