Located at The Bend with a good amount of parking since the lot is decently sized. Staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere and vibes are cool and refreshing. I had the Loco Moco which tasted different from your classic loco moco as it's made with beef Chuck, but that's why I wanted to try it. The beef was nice, tender, and flavorful. Combined with the gravy, spam, egg and kimchi cucumbers, it was a yummy plate. My friend had the Breakfast Club. She said the biscuit was delicious, but the sandwich overall was a bit dry so she asked for extra ranch dressing to add. Came here for Father's Day and it was good! I have never had biscuits and gravy because I am gluten free, and always thought I would be missing out on things. Alas, I still have not had biscuits and gravy because was tempted by the other GF options on the menu. I got the standard egg sandwich on a GF biscuit which is not nearly as cool but I enjoyed it and I just wasn't feeling a heavy gravy that early in the day. The people I was with got a fried chicken on a biscuit and the father in law got a plate with eggs, has browns, a pancake and a biscuit. Lots of food and good portions. Tables by us seemed to be inundated by the amount of food. Service was good. You check out with a cashier and then runners bus and run you to your table. Those biscuits are worth every penny. Not knowing anything about this place I always assumed it was a sit down, long wait restaurant. After coming in on a weekday, I realized to order the counter take your number and go sit down. Have the biscuits, all of them. This is a really great spot for breakfast or lunch and the food is very high-quality with nice service and nice people. The chicken sausage was not my taste, but you can tell that they care about the food. The PB&J biscuit with chicken was insane and absolutely delicious but you have to be in the mood. OK... holy F this place is GOOD. I had saved Union Biscuit in one of my Yelp collections forever ago and this morning I woke up and said, "today's the day." And wow... I'm so glad I finally came. One of the reviews said, "holy f this place is good," and I'm gonna have to second that because the food was AMAZING. These were hands down the best shrimp and grits I've had in my entire life. And mind you, shrimp and grits isn't even something I eat all the time. I first started eating it maybe two years ago from a spot on the east side and I thought THAT was good... but this? This doesn't even compare. So much flavor. The grits were smooth, creamy, and had little pieces of bacon mixed in that gave it the perfect touch. Every bite just tasted comforting and rich without being too heavy. I don't even know what else to say other than goddamn... that was amazing. It genuinely tasted like it was made with love, like somebody's grandma was back there cooking for me. It was warm, soothing, and honestly exactly what I needed after a super windy night and cold morning. This meal literally revived me. I also ordered a single pancake and OMG... again, probably one of the best pancakes I've had in a long time. So fluffy, soft, buttery, and the syrup amount was perfect. Nothing felt overly sweet or overwhelming. Everything was just RIGHT. Even the coffee was amazing. Another thing I loved was the setup. They give you a mug and you can get up and refill your own coffee or water whenever you want. Sometimes you just got to go. Have a really good biscuit. I'll tell you what, my grandmother made the best biscuits in the world. So when I go out and have a biscuit, hers where the benchmark by which all other biscuits are judged. I got to tell you Union Biscuit may have bested my grandma. This place is a little bit hard to find, it's tucked away in a shopping center around back so you really can't see it from the street, so definitely use your GPS to help you get there. Plenty of parking and the restaurant itself once you get there is very bright, warm, and inviting. When you walk in, there is a little A-frame placard that gives you the instructions. Basically it's grab a menu, wait in line, order at the counter, and a table number will be given to you. You. This place definitely gets busy on the weekends, but the line moves pretty quickly. The coffee bar will serve yourself, which I was a little taken aback by, but it actually worked very smoothly. The coffee itself was very tasty and wonderful. Plenty of cream sweeteners and such. Plus a serve yourself water bar. One interesting thing about Union biscuit is that you are a signed a table. Which I have never experienced before, but it actually makes sense. The restaurant itself is bright and airy with Windows everywhere so you can look out and see the mountains. There is also outdoor seating on a patio which is very nice as well. I was torn between the Korean chicken biscuit and the peanut butter and jelly and bacon and chicken biscuit. I opted for the peanut butter and jelly and bacon, just because it sounded amazing. Spoiler alert: it was! My girlfriend had the shrimp and grits, and she loved them! I myself am not a fan of grits, but I tasted them and they were so good.. Bottom line? This place is definitely on my list of breakfast places to go back to. It's really really good, and definitely has a warm fuzzy vibe to it. I've been a regular here at Union Biscuit, since eversince... After ordering our food, the family and I sat down, enjoying our coffee, when a lead employee came up and handed me a birthday card, which they've been holding for over a month. My wife and daughter started laughing at me as Izzy blurted out, dad, you've been gone fishing in Oregon, and to Alaska, this past month of June. Long story short, at 70, I really love my fishing. Anyway, we're eating our usual favorites when the owner's wife, Honey, The Boss, came out with a loaded bowl of the best looking Loco Moco, I've ever seen and tasted in a very long time. Now, I'm not sure if I'm even allowed to talk about it, since it's not in the menu yet, but here it goes... The bowl was covered in white jasmine rice, with a very generous portion of tender chuck roast beef medallions, and smothered with a dark, thick gravy, and loaded with sautéed onions, and a side of Kimchee cucumber slices, as a yummy garnish. If you're expecting to get the standard breakfast patty, you'll be surprised to get this well seasoned, smashed burger style breakfast sausage patty instead. And definitely get an order of the beignets (really it should be more like two orders). Have you ever had a funnel cake? If you have, then I needn't say anymore. And if you haven't, then get ready for light, fluffy chewy interior and a crisp, crunchy, fried exterior. Then there's a side of caramel for dipping or pouring over. It's also served with a lemon curd that is equally delicious. Let me start this off by saying this we like this restaurant and we have had no issues in the past. My fiancé and I went here on Sunday July 12th and I wanted to share my absolute displeasure and discomfort about this place. We love the taste of the food here but weren't that hungry. We went here to order two sides of a biscuit and two sides of gravy with a single blueberry pancake. And we pointed to the menu that we wanted the sides of it . The lady proceeded to jot us down for the two full biscuits and gravy...we had this the last time but we didn't finish it, so we ordered sides of it. After ordering we noticed that she charged us for the full entree amount when we didn't ask for it. She said she couldn't cancel the order and offered us "free drinks" because her manager wasn't there. She told us that the side of gravy "was a small cup" and we said that was fine because we can't finish the full amount. While mentioning this to us, she gave us an attitude and said "I can't cancel it because I already sent it to the kitchen" contradicting the fact that she said before that she can't cancel it because "her manager wasn't there" Like I said, the reason we ordered the sides because we can't finish the full amount! We're not locals and stumbled upon this place on a rainy day--such a great find. Inside, the space is bright, cozy, and welcoming. You order at the counter first, then you're seated. I just placed an order on Postmates after blindly discovering Union Biscuit in my recommendations. I don't know what I did to deserve this blessing in my food algorithm, but all those good choices led me here and I am so happy. I ordered the KFC biscuit sandwich with the gochujang sauce and buttermilk ranch on the side. I saw reviews saying the sauce made the chicken soggy and due to delivery I didn't want to chance it. The chicken without the sauce is so good. The batter is definitely seasoned before frying. I added the gochujang sauce and the sandwich was next-level with the slaw and biscuit symphony. (The gochujang sauce was cold, wasn't expecting that. I did try it cold and then warmed up to release the flavors more. Better warmed up) The biscuit is fluffy, buttery, sturdy, yet soft and just everything a biscuit should be. Even through delivery. I can only imagine them on site. Overall, Union gets a 5. I'm giving this 4 stars, but it really should be 3 1/2. LOCATION: Across the street from Ikea. PROS: Nice atmosphere, comfortable seating inside, beautiful patio, nice window view to the outside areas. The coffee was excellent! SERVICE: Very friendly when talking your order and delivering your food. DRINKS (i.e. coffee/Lavazza, waters, sodas) are self Service at a counter with creamers etc. FOOD: Mediocre. I ordered a side of 2 scrambled eggs and bacon crispy. Unfortunately the bacon was more beef jerky like, and some parts were still fatty? The eggs were just ok, nothing special. We had a delectible breakfast at Union Biscuit on Sunday! My first time there I opted to go basic in order to really try the biscuits and ordered the 3 egg breakfast. The biscuits were large, fluffy, & tasty. I really enjoyed the honey and apple butters as well. The eggs were cooked perfectly and for $3 you can get coffee with free refills (self serve). The fresh fruit was an ample serving of sliced strawberries, blueberries, and oranges which were indeed fresh and flavorful. The menu offers a selection of vegan and gluten-free options, which is great. You order from the counter and they assign a table. Despite being quite busy, we were seated right away and our food came out fast and hot. I will be visiting again to try the breakfast sandwiches and beignets! read more

Union Biscuit sure has a good variety of items on their menu. It was hard to choose wha to go with. The cashier helped out on some of the top favorites. Tried two sandwiches but on one half way threw I noticed it didn't have any bacon. It was very packed inside so get ready for a wait. The pancakes were fluffy but were missing flavor. Overall it was good and would go back and try other options on menu. read more

We finally made it here and will definitely be back !!!! It is counter service which is not my favorite but they were well organized and assigned you with a table . We went with the PB&J and it was delicious. Even with counter service the staff was friendly and they were walking around doing water and coffee refills . read more

I'm not a big biscuit fan but I like theirs. It's always fresh and not dry. The place is always clean. And the staff is always welcoming. You order your food at the counter before you get seated. read more

We came to Union Biscuit on a Sunday morning as a group of three. It was definitely busy, but we were still able to get a table without waiting, which was a nice surprise. The setup is order-at-the-counter style, and then they give you a table number. The biscuits are the star here--really delicious and satisfying. Everyone in our group agreed they do them really well. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which tasted good overall, though the cheese on it was oddly only half melted, so that threw me off a bit. On the flip side, I tried the mushroom gravy and ended up liking it a lot more than I expected--it paired perfectly with the biscuit. That said, the atmosphere isn't the most comfortable. We sat in a booth, and all three of us found it awkward--the backs are really upright and not very padded. On top of that, the place feels pretty cramped, and it gives off the vibe that you should eat quickly and move on rather than hang out and relax. If you're looking for a laid-back brunch spot where you can linger, this probably isn't it. Overall, Union Biscuit gave us a good enough breakfast experience.
