So we were visiting the area for vacation and caught the billboards for Crazy Mason and thought, "Why not? It looks interesting!" It's not just an ice cream place, but a complete venue with bowling, trivia night, etc. Now, I could see the allure, all kinds of things to do there. What was surprising were the prices for the mason ice cream treats. If the sugar doesn't give you a heart attack, the price per item will! Between the two of us, one each, the total was $32.90! Now I love my ice cream as much as the next person, but you couldn't possibly afford to bring a full family for the mason desserts without taking it a small loan. Was it good? Yes, the top was delicious. By the time we made it 1/2 way through, it was pretty bland, plain ol' ice cream. It's not nearly as big as we expected for the price. Now, am I saying don't go? No, not at all! We had the experience. But we won't go back. Had it have been a little more reasonably priced, sure, we'd go back. It's a fun place. The crazy mason has some of the neatest creations. We got the Fudgin' Best and it was so good!! I love how everything is piled on, tastes amazing, and it's so creative. The mason jars are cool and you get to keep them. They have a place to rinse them out with bags to take them home. Staff was very nice. We just all got a weird film in our mouths after we ate some and I couldn't finish the ice cream. It was too sweet for me but the concept is cool and if you really enjoy super sweet and lots of options this is the place for you. The one we visited was inside the bowling alley and we had a great time playing a huge Jenga. The arcade games are a little pricey but we had fun playing skee-ball. Shew! This place was berry busy. Idk if it just recently got popular. But it was delicious. My advice would be to skip dinner and head here. It seemed after dinner the line would grow to all the way out the door and down the sidewalk. There were people waiting to get inside. And when you got inside there was a Disneyland ride style line (wrapped around) It is connected to a bowling alley/ bar which looked really cool. There was no one waiting at the bar, so a friend went over there while we waited in line. It took about an hour in line. My husband would say it's a one and done novelty type thing. Just go into the bowling alley. The line was wrapped around, past the restaurant, into the bowling alley. Apparently this is THE place to be. We stood in line for about 30 minutes, hoping it was worth it.
