Oh.... this place.... I've always wanted to try one of these places. I saw them on Yelp while on vacation in Myrtle. Their flavors made my mouth water before I ever got there. It is located in a bowling/billards/arcade/restaurant spot in Market Commons. We headed there after a well planned light dinner. You can tell that they are used to having huge lines due to the stanchions that lined the lobby. We were able to walk right up and order. The man at the register was VERY helpful in understanding the menu and what each shake contained. I couldn't believe he remembered everything off the top of his head. I ended up ordering the Defrosting Cocoa, one of their holiday flavors. It came in a nice Christmas mason jar. It was delightful. It had two toasted marshmallows and a chocolate spoon. Plenty of chocolate ice cream, frosting, marshmallow with chocolate chips... Too much to list. Take a look at the pictures to get the full effect. If you're looking for something unique and completely gluttonous in a fun location, this is the place. You can select from a variety of milkshakes that have different fun themes. The prices are a little high, but you basically get an entire meal of sweets on top of your milkshake and you get to keep a souvenir glass. You really could get one to share between two people. But- if you're like my family- you'll want to try so many different ones that you'll each order your own. The ice cream selections are very creative but are made with ice cream that anyone can purchase from the local supermarket For the price the ice cream should be homemade. The new location is modern, clean and service is competent. I didn't use the restrooms so I can't comment on them, parking is adequate. They do offer a veteran's discount as well as a local discount. The menu is very $$$. $15 for an ice cream is a little much when you have to pay for water to wast it down with. Would go again if I have friends / family from out of town but not on a regular basis. read more

The first time we came around 3pm we were waiting in a huge line outside, waited about 30 minutes just to get to the door and said screw it because they said it would be an hour and a half until we could order. We were tired of waiting in 100 degree weather. So if you come make sure you go in the later eve or when they first open. So we went back the following week, we got in line at 4:16, we got to the register at 5:22 and got the milkshakes at 5:49. We are visiting from Cali and I had this bookmarked on yelp because I saw it on a "countries best" video and figured I would check it out when I was in the area. This is definitely one of those cheeky food places that everyone goes to for the photos but hey...it's still good. I will say it gets really busy. We came on a Monday night at 6:30, and although we got seated right away, the servers were BUSY and the front got filled really fast. They really should have a waiting area, because the customers were just waiting there in the tiny lobby and outside the door. The staff seemed to have problems with their electronic system- some confusion with the ordering system or seating chart and other at checkout. It's a high turnover place since you're only getting ice cream so it's a little chaotic. Apparently, only your server can check you out a the register as well, so trying to track them down and get them to cash you out was also a headache. However, the ice cream flavors and toppings are elite. I got the banana pudding one and the cake on top was almost better if that's possible. My husband got the not salty not sweet, and our friend got the cinnamon roll one. My best advice would be to use their app/ website and checkout with a credit card so you don't have to track someone down to cash you out, and go when everyone else is eating dinner. read more

Found Crazy Mason while looking for a good dessert place. We didn't know anything about it so had no idea that it is INCREDIBLY BUSY. It's, weirdly, inside a bowling alley and, when busy, there's a line to get inside the building, then a massive line to place your order, then you have to wait even longer to actually get your milkshakes. We were not prepared for how long it was going to take and wish we'd known. They have an extensive selection of options and the milkshakes themselves were impressive looking and good tasting, but not good enough to overcome the high prices (ours were ~$14/ea) and the long wait. It was a cool experience overall since we'd never had this kind of "super milkshake" before, but they're definitely the kind of overkill dessert that I feel like I can probably pass on from now on now that I've tried it once (and I LOVE desserts). Go into it with eyes wide open and you'll probably have a great experience. Just make sure you've got plenty of time and a serious appetite. read more
