The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The Argentinian empanadas were excellent, the Americano breakfast and omelet were fantastic, and dessert was the perfect finish. More importantly, the service was exceptional. The mother and son made us feel like guests in their home, not just another table. You waited 32 minutes? Good food made from scratch sometimes takes time. I'd rather wait for a fresh meal than get something thrown together in five minutes. As for the "healthy food" comment, that wasn't an excuse it was an explanation. Not everything has to be drowning in butter, salt, or grease to taste good. Maybe the restaurant wasn't the problem. Sometimes when someone goes looking for something to complain about, they'll always find it. Judging by your review, it seems like nothing would have made you happy that day. The sandwich and plate foods are priced cheaper here at Cao but the prices for the pastries are similar and to me they taste better at Vicky's. Also, random, but their party platters are interestingly cut in my opinion. Why are they cut so thin? Barely half a bite's worth in each one.
