I'm giving stars for these factors and previous experiences. The matcha is not good at all though. I got an iced matcha latte with oatmilk and it: 1. Doesn't look like matcha 2. Doesn't taste like matcha, just tastes like oatmilk. It was extremely disappointing, especially for the price. The pictures of the matcha they have posted on the window look promising, but I watched it get made and it is mostly oatmilk, not enough matcha. Moldy Cake pops!!! Y'all should be ashamed of yourself selling old moldy cupcakes and pops!!! I purchased 2 cupcakes and a cake pop. The girl at the register told me the double chocolate cupcake has been there for a few days. She said the cupcakes and pops tend to get moldy pretty fast if they don't keep it cold enough in there. My daughter had eaten half of this when we noticed the mold. Be very careful. The cupcakes sit on top of the cooler aren't even refrigerated, who knows how much mold the customers have eaten. read more

One of my favorite spots to study at! I've been coming here for months and order the same thing every time- the caprese sandwich and the mango sunrise. The music isn't too loud and it doesn't get TOO busy depending on the time you get there. There's a high school a few blocks away from the plaza, so it gets flooded with noise and kids at around 3-3:30, but it calms back down at around 4:15. The sandwich is your average warm-to-order sandwich, but when it's drenched in three packets of tapatio, it tastes like the best sandwich I've ever had in my life! It doesn't look pretty, but I've never felt the need to try any other sandwich. The mango sunrise drink is so beautiful and delicious! It's sweet and sour at the same time, and great for those with sweet tooths!! You can also ask to reduce the sweetness and it tastes just as good. Extra points because the color is pink/purple! We love to come into the open and spacious location. It gives a nice and clean feeling to be inside with the white tiles and light floors. Colorful and yummy pastries adorn the pantry and it gives a European touch. Beverages and sandwiches are sold as well for those who want salty - the grilled cheese lobster sandwich is my favorite! The staff are friendly, but not very attentive. I've noticed they don't call out names or let you know when your order is ready, which can be confusing when it's busy. As someone with dietary restrictions, I also wish they offered more sugar-free syrup options for diabetics. The coffee itself is usually good, but lately the taste has been inconsistent. The photo I attached is of the S'mores cupcake. The 1st photo is what is advertised on the website and the 2nd photo is what I got when I ordered it in store. It's about time there was a decent dessert shop north of the 60 freeway! Thanks to The Cupcake & Espresso Bar for opening their 3rd location in Moreno Valley! Their new shop is just beautiful and spacious! It is located across from the lake in Sunnymead Ranch at the Lakeshore Village Plaza. They offer their signature cupcakes, drinks, as well pastries, cakes, cake pops, and savory items! One of my favorite dessert flavors is lemon and I was so glad they have an Italian Lemon Cream Cake that is luscious but not too sweet! I also like their Pineapple Paradise Cupcake because it has a hint of pineapple flavor. I love the tropical presentation of this cupcake! It just screams aloha. Also, what's great about this place is they offer vegan treats, which is a great alternative for those who have milk/egg allergies! The staff is really friendly and helpful! The shop actually has a lot of tables of seats! Parking is plentiful as well. This is definitely a good place for a coffee date. And great for all ages! I was so excited about new coffee shop at the Lake Village Plaza. We finally visited on 2/11/20 and we are happy we did. It was windy today so we stayed inside. They have a good selection of breakfast & lunch sandwiches and hot & cold drinks. They also have cupcakes, danishes, scones, and other sweets. Everything we had today was very good. I first feel in love with C.E.B not too soon after the Day street location opened. Now this is their third location and biggest in Sunnymead Ranch. For those who never been C.E.B is cupcake places that serves great coffee along with good pastries. My favorites do I would say signature s'mores mocha. This was the drink that got me hooked. It is one of my favorite mochas I can get anywhere. Aside from that I usually get other coffee drinks, the Funky Tommy & Whole Lotta Toffy are great also. The pastries are great also. I mainly like that this place is great bakery shops that has great coffee. Also a great loyalty program that gives you a pastry or drink after you get 10 stars. Also once things get back to normal this is a great place to study or meet with friends. There is plenty of seating and a nice view outside. I gave it another chance this slow Sunday morning and I can't even fathom to drink this coffee it taste like concentrated syrup (the last time I came here I had to ask for my coffee because they forgot about it.) I wanted no fuss so I waited for someone's attention to maybe fix it .... Never got it. They made my drink like a bottle of syrup . I can't get enough of this coffee bar. I lived in MoVal for about 6 months and moved out of town and now I'm back and couldnt be happier to frequent this place again. I tend to use a third party delivery service when I order from here but nonetheless the coffee is consistent, unique, and so so good and their pastries are so delicious as well. My favorites are the guava and cheese danish, and their strawberry cupcakes. The cupcakes are so moist and dense but not overly rich and sweet. Also their cafes are so cute! Every weekend, I visit my boyfriend in Riverside/MoVal area and I've been itching to search for a coffee shop besides Starbucks. The Cupcake and Espresso Bar here at Sunnymead Ranch has such a CLEAN, MODERN, and FABULOUS interior with such lovely baristas! Unfortunately, I never got to sit in because I've first came here during COVID, so I've always done grab-n-go. AMBIENCE: If I were a local student (obviously not during COVID), I'd honestly come here very often!! Such wide seating arrangements and the atmosphere definitely screams "calm" and "modern". Plenty number of seats so there's really no reason to wait for one! +1 for the amazing coffee aroma that just sits in the cafe forever and ever :-) FOOD/BEVERAGES: (1) Beverage: Firstly, I am an avid coffee drinker, as a former barista myself. So I'm all about having well-done espresso drinks. I stray away from milk based drinks unless I am really feeling it :-) and so my go-to is a standard iced Americano. This is basically espresso shots, water, and ice. Definitely not for the sweet tooth! The other bevs I tried were their blended ice drinks (kind of like a Starbucks frappuccino), iced caramel macchiato, and iced vanilla latte. Because of their great quality espresso beans -- all of these drinks taste so smooth, crisp, and lovely. The blended drinks don't seem to contain espresso, but if you're a huge frappe/blended beverage fan, this may be for you! (2) Food: SUCH a wide variety of food here -- whether it is savoury or sweet! Their baked goods collection is amazing... Plus everything is made in-house! I mean if you ever look at their cheesecake and cupcake collection, the name of this cafe should not surprise you at all!! I don't have a sweet tooth BUT I am a huge fan of their cookies (there's also vegan options) and from their savoury... their ham & cheese croissant is just SO good (has jalapenos!). PRICE: Expect usual cafe prices, BUT their drink sizes come in kind of like how Dunkin Donuts run their sizes. Their iced drinks come in small (look at my pic for this size!), medium, large, and x-large (monstrous!!). For example, an x-large iced caramel macchiato goes for almost $6, but that size is insane so it's honestly worth your bucks. OTHER: There's also a grab-n-go with mobile ordering but I've never used it so I am not sure. Just pointing out the fact that it's there so if you'd like, ask one of the staff there! ALSOOOO if you sign up for their reward program (via Square), you can collect stars, and then when you have enough you can redeem it for a beverage! I honestly have nothing negative to say!! Whenever something was wrong, the baristas here always did what they could to fulfill my needs. CEB, you guys are such a cute local cafe ... Please NEVER go away!! This place just opened around my house. We stopped by to check it out.. we were amazed at the beautiful location, the great customer service, the whole ambience was very chill and relax. Fadi made my coffee to taste. I usually drink it black or with a little sweet in it. I wanted something different but not too sweet. He made me a delicious caramel macchiato semi sweet. I've been to the new location in Sunnymead Ranch twice. I've been to the Day St. shop about 10 times and the Moreno Beach Dr/Cactus countless times over the last several years. (Closest to my house). From their pilot shop to this last one they have found ways to improve each successive new location. Whether it be better seating, bigger space, advertising their menu, etc. The best part is the customer service, food options and it's quality and music all remain the same. They even have some gluten free and vegan choices. I love that they have outside seating at two locations. The owners/operators are awesome as have been the staff they hire. I would go to the Sunnymead place more often but the drive is much longer than my local shop. My sister and I usually go at least once a week and sometimes I go with other people, too.
