We stopped in to the Cupcakery after hiking for several hours in the nearby Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary, where we definitely worked up an appetite trudging up and down hills in the sloppy snow. We had coffee and something sweet on our minds, and ended up with a variety of seasonal lattes, quiche and cupcakes all around. The interior space was clean and festive, all decked out for Valentines day. The two young people working the counter and kitchen were friendly and efficient, and we were really happy with the variety of options available. We enjoyed our coffees and were happy to see options for non-dairy milk alternatives too. I took off a star only because I found everything we bought to eat way too sweet for my taste buds, but that won't keep me away. I'll just try different things next time. Definitely recommend this cute little spot for a coffee date, or a spot to relax on your own with a treat and coffee or cocoa.

Various assorted of delicious cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and surprisingly even a menu offering tasty and affordably priced food. Definitely check this place out even if you're looking m for coffee and a breakfast sandwich!

Delicious cupcakes!! Visually look really cool also. So many interesting flavors. Nice Maine themed stuff to buy as well.

First the service was fantastic, so friendly and helpful. This young lady was all smiles. However a place that prides themselves on cupcakes was far from stellar. They were decorated for the holidays, with reindeer and snowmen. I bought a few to try. I'm not sure they were fresh, as all the edges of the top of the cupcake were hard and the wrapper came off in 8 pieces. The maples walnut had great frosting flavor and a perfect ratio of cupcake to frosting. The walnuts were huge, I would have preferred them to be chopped small. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake had good frosting, with dry top.

Amazing!! Kind people, yummy food just great ;) I love their strawberry cupcake and their birthday cake one too! Also their vanilla cupcake is really good.

Cupcakes were amazing! They turned out better then I imagined, and were so delicious . They were a big hit at our party. Will definitely be using them again for another special occasion.

The Cupcakery joined the neighborhood and opened it's doors in 2014. Almost a year later, they are providing incredible cupcakes, a modest breakfast and lunch menu, catering, and are even offering cake decorating classes! While cupcakes are certainly the passion, the Cupcakery offers other bakery favorites too like brownies, cake pops, cookies, and whoopie pies, as well as seasonal specials Made from scratch, these cupcakes are moist and soft. Piled high with sweet creamy frosting and sometimes a decorative treat, these look amazing and taste even better. Their best seller is the Peanut Butter Cup (which was definitely my family's favorite), but I have to give a shout out to the Carrot and Very Vanilla too!

    Yum!!!!!

I mean hello, Cupcakes! Who doesn't love cupcakes? I never bake cakes anymore because cupcakes are SO much easier and cleaner! I love the various flavors that The Cupcakery has to offer. I do need to eat most of them with a fork on a plate though, because the icing is enormous (but I'm not complaining, yum!) My only concern is the price, it's a bit steep for a cupcake. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this bakery to friends and family.

I will have to go back and try some other desserts or have him bring them to me next time he's down my neck of the woods. They have a handful of flavors from classic (chocolate cake and vanilla frosting, maple, chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, and vanilla with vanilla frosting). While they sell at other stores in the area I highly recommend dropping in to meet and interact with the folks that make the magic happy. Don't worry if you don't live nearby - you can order online for delivery all over the country. Also they freeze well and let me tell you they are terrific heated up in the microwave. If you do go in person definitely take advantage of their specials. Just call ahead to see what their deals are. We scored a fab steal with a buy one get one special. And don't forget to tip the staff, they work super hard to make a classically delicious Northeastern delight.

We went with a non-traditional theme which included cupcakes a wedding topper cake for the dessert. We chose Grant's Bakery to do the topper cake and worked with Gary, one of their cake makers. Gary walked us through their process, portfolio and what options were available to us. He understood our theme and produced a white and gold themed topper cake which was spot on. My wife LOVED it and it. Unfortunately my wife and I were not able to have the cake for our wedding reception as we had to cancel due to a major incident impacting several of our Maine towns, but Gary was patient and willing to still make the cake despite their store being shut down for 2-3 days due to the incident. We pushed the due date for the cake to be ready, out a few days and when my wife picked it up, she LOVED it and complimented him several times on how he hit the theme with colors and the simplistic design. We were not looking for a large elaborate cake and despite the simple design, it exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Grant's Bakery for your wedding cake needs!

SPüN does a lot of variety of custom order cakes and they're so nicely done. My first opportunity was my SO had actually ordered a green tea cake -- it was so good I couldn't stop shoveling the buttercream into my mouth. This year I opted for a Boston cream pic cupcake selection for the Boston cream pie lover in my life. The inside was a yellow cake base with the standard Boston cream in the middle and a hardened chocolate shell over cream on top. I made a special request for some lettering and they came packaged in a box that allowed for complete stability of the cakes. I accidentally left them out in a cold area prior to serving but they turned out totally fine! I would have normally done a regular Boston cream pie but circumstances made cupcakes an easier option. Will be trying the full cake next time. Definitely recommend if you're in the area -- ordering, customizing, payment, and pick up were all insanely easy.

THESE ARE THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE (So please ignore anything I've said stating otherwise that was written before this review was.) I had been warned that these were everything and more, and that still did not prepare me for how epic they were. They're the perfect balance of both dense and yet they melt-in-your-mouth; the "icing" (whatever notion you have of icing, throw it away because that's not what this is but a word hasn't been invented yet for whatever is going on with these buns) is sticky and creamy and has a little hint of citrus. And I am not sure I can never eat another cinnamon roll again, because these have spoiled me forever (I was swooning so much the first time we had them that my partner let me finish his as well!). Also: their frittata? I haven't had anything that good since living in Spain. Big, filling wedges of layered egg, potato, onion, and veggies. I'm hoping this will always be available vegetarian! Also; I ate it cold. And with my hands like it was a slice of pizza. That's the kind of monster I am, but it worked out deliciously! Spün you have IMMEDIATELY become one of my favorite food places in all of Maine. Can I make my holiday order for a half dozen cinnamon rolls and veggie frittata now?!
