Let me start off by saying that my wife absolutely hates buffets. Fundamentally she thinks they should not exist. Nonetheless, we were very hungry the other day and driving through franklin and decided to stop by here last weekend with our 1 year old son for their buffet lunch. The food was amazing. Simply put. My wife said this was the first buffet she actually liked. The workers were also very friendly with our son. We had almost everything at the buffet. Garlic naan? Loved it. Chicken vindaloo? Tasty. Saag paneer? Love the green stuff. I was impressed with the spice level as well. Sometimes buffets try and please everyone and full things down. We highly recommend the lunch buffet, which is available 7 days a week. It is a good deal with a decent amount of delicious options. Especially if you're like us and you aren't quite sure what to order, it is the perfect way to sample some of their best dishes. Take out is also a great option and they make it easy with their drive through for pick up. If you aren't keen on spice, be sure to order everything mild because the hot versions of their dishes pack a huge punch! read more

This review is specifically about their briyani. It was not briyani at all. It was chicken/mutton curry rice. It was ok taste wise but given the high reviews, we were expecting a decent briyani where the rice is loose and has the meat flavours blended in. This briyani was sticky. The gravy though was good. We should have stuck to the currys as the name suggests. One star for that. read more

We were really disappointed with the food. Everything we ordered (tikka masala, paneer saag and malai kofte) were mediocre at best. The sauces were all runny and not tasty at all. The sum it up, we had to throw away the mulligatawny soup, it had nothing in it, no veggies no spice, it was like eating soup of fat, it was truly bad! We will certainly not go back and I don't recommend that you do either. read more

Terrible, unauthentic, soggy fried food mess - when I call to complain he said he'd refund it if I bring it back, I said I'd bring it back, but it meant I'd have to drive 40 minutes again I asked if there was a way to avoid this, he said make sure you know what you're ordering; I love Indian food know my stuff and I make better samosas and green chutney at home, it was my first and last time trying this dumpster fire with a drive thru - the jerk then said he'd refund me, but only after shouting at me for a length of time and accusing me of trying to get free food and all sorts of other nonsense. I was attempting to have a nice dinner with my husband and not have a bunch of trouble, but that didn't happen. Can't make good food. And do not treat customers with respect or kindness. read more

Pros: Good food Cons: Inconsistent and callous service, long wait Arrived on a Saturday night at 6:30 PM with a friend who hadn't been here before (it was my third time). The place was packed and we had to wait at the bar for maybe 20 minutes. No issues with that, if anything it's a good sign! We also knew the food was going to be amazing, so didn't mind waiting. After being seated, the server came over with the menus. My friend (who also happens to be South Asian) asked about two different vegetarian curry dishes (expecting a recommendation) but instead only got, "Okay, choose one." Not the best way to kick things off. The appetizer (Chef's Veggie Platter) came out in maybe 15 minutes but it took around 40 minutes for the entrees (Lamb Korma and the Kadai Paneer) to come out. But they didn't come with spoons. Ever try to scoop up curry without a spoon? The person who brought out the food (different person, looked like a manager) recognized this, and said he'd bring them over. Seeing how slow the service had been up to that point made us highly doubt that anything would come out in a reasonable amount of time, so we just made do with the smaller spoons that the pappadum/dip tray at the beginning comes with. The food was good. No complaints on that end. One thing that rubbed us the wrong way was when the chef made rounds around the tables. He stopped and spoke with all of the other guests and actually inquired about the food/service, etc, but when he came to our table, it was a quick acknowledgement only. Not sure if it was because we were the only South Asians there at the time or not. Just didn't feel right after the "Okay, choose one" incident from the server an hour before. Oh and the spoons for our entrees. The guy brought them over when we had already finished eating. At that point why even bother? Needless to say, not coming back. read more

They post a buffet, but it's really not. If you go in for the buffet you have to point to what you want and whatever fills the plate, then that's it. Love that they're open later than some of the other local restaurants. They gave me free samosas which was also super nice. The mutter paneer, paneer tikka, and Navratan korma all tasted good. The parothas tasted more like chapati to me - not buttery or flakey but still a nice roti. The samosas were ok, I preferred the taste of mirchi's but I hate to be critical here since they were nice and gave them to me for free. read more

I don't usually approve of using the phrase "the best" when writing reviews. It sounds corny, and phony, and unrealistic. But this is seriously the best Indian Food I have ever had, anywhere. I've been coming here for years and it's consistently great. It's nice and clean inside, the decor is pleasant, but not fancy. The service is always very prompt. The prices are reasonable. On our latest visit, we had to wait too a little too long for our check, and that's about the worst thing I can say about any of our visits here. Also, I've never eaten at the lunch buffet, I've only been here for dinner and take out. Thank you Curry House for being so good, and I'm sorry I did not write this sooner. read more

I am obsessed. This is the best Indian food I've had around here. We ordered tikka masala, chana masala, aloo gobi and some sides. Everything was so good and the portions were quite generous. The spice blends in each dish were unique and complimentary to the dishes. The spice level was also spot on to our preference (medium was truly medium). We ordered take out but there was a good amount of people dining in and would definitely come back and dine in. The staff was also SO friendly. 10/10 experience. read more

This place from the outside looks bad, but as soon as you walk inside, it's pretty elegant. The food and service have always been fantastic. This was my first time ever having Indian food! We came in about 9 and me never having had Indian food before, had no idea what to order. Our server was brand new also so we were both some first timers lol. I was trying to get some suggestions and the chef overheard us asking if he knew what was good, and he personally came over himself and guided us through the menu. That was a huge help. My boyfriends food came out AMAZING!! Mine was also good but a little too spicy for my liking(if you like spicy food but not insanely spicy, go with the mild. I went with medium and it was still too hot.) idk if it was the manager or owner who came over, but he was also very kind. If I could give this post 10 stars I would!! Good job guys. So delicious and easy to get takeout during the pandemic. This spot used to be a Taco Bell and has a drive through. Place your order via phone and you can drive through to pick up. How easy is that? My husband got the chicken korma and I got chicken tikka masala. Both were good but the korma was the star. We got other sides which were good too. The one downside is we ordered rice pilaf for my toddler and didn't get it. We had plenty of rice for her from the orders and I'm sure if we went back they would have given it to us, I was just already home. Check your order and you'll be all set! read more

We have been regular customers for years, either dining in or, especially in 2020, getting take out. The Curry House is amazing. The food is consistently superb. I absolutely love Indian food and The Curry House is my favorite place. Typically we order several meals that are then consumed during the week. I got hooked on Bollywood movies thanks to the Curry House! The vegetarian appetizers are a must, nice variety, and the pakoras are tasty and huge, so you can share...or not. (Vegetarian household. Others can comment on the meat dishes.) Onion bahji? I hate onions. I fake I'm allergic to onions to avoid eating them. I inhale onion bahji from here. My favorite dish is the Navrattan Korma. Palak Paneer is delicious. Naan- aloo paratha or garlic for dinner. Pashawari naan is dessert! The Curry House has always been very, very, clean when we've dined in-house. I trust them with food safety during these times. Lastly, the staff are fantastic. New to Indian food? Have allergies? Hate onions??? Ask them. The staff is incredibly helpful and clearly take pride in their restaurant. The Curry House is 11 miles from me, a quick hop on 495. If it were 110 miles it would be worth the trip. read more

I recently decided to go for the lunch buffet and it was delicious. There were so many options both with me meat and without meat. This is a huge mistake for this place where it is NOT all you can eat, and if you eat small, they throw the remains of your food in the trash. The chicken tika masala is top notch and a very easy dish for those who are new to the Indian food experience. Everything we have tried has been great. Tip: they seem to stay true to a "mild, medium, hot" measure so if you like your food SPICY, definitely get the hot. If you are not big on spice, the mild will be enough for you, I bet. So good. Of course some days aren't going to be 1,000% just like any place but I've usually only had outstanding meals here. I have eaten dine in but usually get take out and cannot wait to try the buffet. The staff are always kind and accommodating. My only complaint is that it is not open on my way home but I understand most if not all Indian establishments are not due to cultural reasons and I respect that. 9/10 times is delicious and I really enjoy the drive through! I think everyone should try the chicken tenders that they have if they don't enjoy Indian style food and the fried onions ;) read more
