    Moscow Mule, Mint Mojito

The Cut is a great happy hour spot for burgers and drinks. We started with a Moscow Mule, which was definitely stronger than average (to my liking). For appetizers, the fried mozzarella was probably my favorite thing we ordered. The mozzarella was really well seasoned, paired with a tangy sauce and crunchy pine nuts. The combination was so unique and added a great texture to the overall dish. I'd definitely order this again. The poutine had a strong chimichurri flavor and came loaded with plenty of meat. Very hearty and flavorful. The Grand Cut was juicy and cooked well, but I thought it was missing a little seasoning. The Truffle & Brie was much more my style, also juicy with a strong Brie flavor that really came through. The Truffle & Brie would be my go-to burger here. Everything came out incredibly fast, within about 5 minutes, and the service was speedy throughout the meal. Great spot if you're looking for a fun burger-and-drinks place with attentive service!

Juicy, messy, cheesy burgers... what more could you ask for?! We had such a good experience at The Cut Handcrafted Burgers in Irvine, from the delicious food to the super helpful staff who gave us great recommendations! drinks: Blueberry Lemonade Pineapple Passionfruit Mule Mocktail food: Regular Fries Sweet Potato Fries Truffle Cheesesteak Blue Cut Burger Savory Burger Sweet & Spicy Burger

The Cut is definitely not your average burger spot. Everything feels a little more elevated, from their handcrafted burgers to all the unique flavor combinations. The burgers were juicy, the buns were perfectly soft and toasted, and I loved that so many of the sauces and toppings are made in house. What really stood out to me was how much variety they have beyond your typical burger and fries. You'll find everything from truffle and brie to chimichurri, poutine, wings and even bone marrow toast. It's comfort food but with a more creative, chef-driven twist. Such a good Irvine spot when you're craving a really solid burger but want something a little different!

Currently the best Breakfast Burrito in Orange County. Neck and neck with Barons and Sobuneh for best in the State. I arrived at 9:55am on a Sunday morning and waited in my car until they opened. Friendly service at the bar as I placed my order. As I waited 10-12 minutes at least a dozen others placed orders. Fair to say that the Bacon and Carne Asada Steak are the popular ones. Within one taste you realize all the hype is deserved. I will have to return soon to try a burger but I highly recommend their breakfast burrito options. They are on such an elite level that I wish I could give them more stars to show how perfectly crafted this meal turned out to be.

Great service, food came out fast and hot! Not much to say except that it is good quality food with fair prices. Will definitely be coming back

I had a nice experience at The Cut and I want to return to try some other items. FOOD The Grand Cut - one of the better burgers I've had in a while. The bun is great. It's soft and light. The beef is cooked right and the whole package just feels right. I don't think I'd change it. It was a little surprising and I was impressed. INSIDE The interior is nice here. It's clean and the wood tables and chairs look good. SERVICE Friendly and professional. PARKING Large, shared parking lot (free).

This spot was so good. Lots of parking and lots of seating inside and outside. Service was great! I got a painkiller cocktail & it was refreshing. We also got the poutine, crispy calamari, savory burger and the double smash. Everything was so good, definitely gonna come back during happy hour

Excellent gourmet burgers in OC. We've stopped here a couple times and their burgers always satisfy. These aren't your standard smash burger but the service is quick and the food comes quickly which I appreciate. Will happily go back anytime we're in the area.

I can't believe we haven't had the cut before. And the sauces, I want more sauces. I'm bias for what I had. The blue cheese burger with amazing blue cheese sauce, carmelized onions. Bbq sauce with medium rare burger - oh my sweet and tartness! Absolute melt in your mouth delishness. And sweet potato fries were the perfect addition to the savory meal. I cannot wait have my leftovers today. My other half had the double smash cheese burger with regular fries. He'd try different side next time. But the Caesar dressing for the salad was amazing with homemade croutons. So let's discuss sauces. Three thousand island - yowsa- and house the cut sauce - my blue cheese sauce - and the ranch dressing! I want more things to dip in the sauces. Next time we will dine in and try more. Definitely a smash hit for a Friday night.

Incredible burgers and experience. This place has the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. Perfectly crispy, seasoned, chewy, and served with an amazing sauce. The burgers are packed with flavor and made with quality meat. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the interior is well organized and clean.

We came by for lunch as a group. We grabbed two tables (one inside and one outside). They insisted that we have to have two separate checks, knowing that one table has all kids! It took a long time to figure out how and who's paying for what! We got a chorizo burrito and chicken and waffles. They were both delicious. Others ordered burgers and they looked amazing. Overall, the food was good but the service needs improvement.

The Cut is an awesome burger place located in OC California. Great customer service really nice people. It was a pop-up shop. This wasn't at their storefront, but they were really nice really kind generous and you can smell the food from a mile away. I just got there cheeseburger and it was delicious. The bun is the highlight of it. It's a soft potato bun nice soft buttery melt right inside of your mouth fresh cheese absolutely delicious and the burger was nice juicy, but in my opinion, it could've been seasoned a little better. There's plenty of favor there, but the seasoning was just not what I expected.

Grand Cut: pork belly, bacon jam, aioli, havarti & comte cheese fondue

I really wanted to love this place after seeing all the hype online, and there were some bright spots! We tried the Grand Cut and Savory burgers. The first few bites were actually pretty promising. Rich, flavorful, and satisfying at first. But as we kept going, the heaviness started to build. The oiliness or fattiness leaking from the fondue made the Grand Cut feel a bit overwhelming. Finishing the burgers ended up being more of a task than something to look forward to. The Onion Rings were good. The Black Truffle Mac & Cheese, though, didn't quite hit the mark for me. Just a very subtle truffle flavor and a bit under-seasoned. Nothing stood out in a big way, and for the price point, I was hoping for something a little more memorable. That said, the service was genuinely great. The staff were super friendly, upbeat, and attentive. One thing to note: the space is pretty tight, and it can get loud. You'll likely hear full conversations from nearby tables, so it's not the most relaxed setting. It didn't quite live up to expectations for me, but I can see why others might enjoy it. I'd maybe come back to try something different.

Do you guys still have happy hour?

Do they do like a birthday slice or something similar like that if we ask? I'm going with someone for their birthday & wondering if they do that, because I know many places do, but many don't :).

Their dessert items are limited to a corn cookie vanilla ice cream sandwich and tres leches bread pudding.

How much is your corkage fee?

    Do you guys serve beer?

We serve some of the best craft beer around. Have domestic options as well, in addition to craft cocktails and wine.

Is there anything that is protein rich?

    Yup!!!

    Reservations available for brunch?

Yes they accept reservations through the phone!

Now that I know it's dog friendly, do you have meals for them on the menu?

    What are the vegan options?

Beyond Burger patty can be substituted for any of the burger options. And it's really good. I was surprised by how well seasoned the patty is.

How are your Burgers cooked? Flame-grilled, fried?

On a flat top griddle! :)

What is the average wait time for brunch on Saturday around noon?

I’m we went first thing in the morning after right after it opened and we got our food fairly quickly. As we were leaving, a good amount of people started trickling in

Is the "Grand Cut" burger back yet?

We have The Grand Cut burger. It's "THE CUT" Burger (60 day dry aged ribeye) that we don't have at the moment. We are hoping to bring it back when supply chain isn't so heavily affected by covid and labor struggles. Thank you.

    Just weekends!

Is there any way to sub out the bun for lettuce wrap for keto diets?

Yes! They did it for my burger and it was DELICIOUS!

Is the Nashville chicken certified organic, antibiotic and hormone free?? Are the meats grass fed?

natural is NOT non gmo, or grassfed and finished.

Is there garlic or onion in the beef seasoning? What is beef seasoned with?

I wish I knew the ingredients all I can tell you is that it is so great. Try it.

    Gluten free buns?

No gluten free buns :( they can make their burgers "protein style" by adding a hearty side salad

Hi David, Yes, we allow dogs on our patio and they are allowed on the outside shared patio as…

For big parties can you do separate checks?

Cuz nothing on planet earth -save for my wife's lovely figure, of course- will get me going quicker than a well made burger, executed flawlessly. Hopdoddy Burger Bar gets a LOT right: Well made glamburgers that could grace the cover of "Bon Apetit" or "Playboy" what with their glistening, fluffy brioche buns; Creatively christened names; Vast arsenal of craft beers ready on tap; and quick, fast-casual service. Like Jerry Maguire, these folks had me at "Hello!' However, your favorite Yelp correspondent has savored well made burgers on two continents and in 42 states. Here's some tasting notes that my (probable/likely/one day) future son in law and I co-devised: The brioche buns, despite their pillowy softness and foodie-porn good looks, make a lousy vessel for any of their "wetter" burger choices. On Eli's Caddy Wagyu and my Good Night Burger, we both were left with bottom buns soaked like a sponge with various toppings incl bacon jam, house sauce, tomato juice and grilled onions. These were both soggier than my bride's handkerchief after watching "The Notebook!" Please consider offering picky burger snobs like Yours Truly a more suitable bun choice that can withstand the assault of wet ingredients! Suggested vehicles include potato buns, ciabatta, sourdough or even pretzel. Also, pls consider selling customers a small side of fries that ACCOMPANIES the burger- Charging folks $7-13 a la carte when they're already spending $11-$24 for a (glam)burger seems mildly exploitative. Pro Tip- Try dipping your fries in their housemade Chipotle Ketchup is a flavor bomb! My bill, for two gourmet burgers, a large fries and a diet coke, was $47 and change.

I only have one big issue with Mooyah, though: they oversalt the hell out of the fried potatoes. It is especially bad with the homemade potato chips, which really sucks because I can tell they are homemade. Unfortunately, when I order online, I do not have the option to request no salt. This is frustrating because I like to control my sodium intake, and I do not get any real say in how much salt is put on my potatoes. I clearly get an overload of salt whenever I eat fried potatoes here. Otherwise, I like this spot. I just have to be prepared to get a small size of fried potatoes for my body's sake, sodium-wise.
