The food was tasty and elevated, and the customer service was right on par. The Mango Paloma was sweet and very well described on the menu. Our server Haley M was just great from start to finish! She made sure we were satisfied & happy our entire visit and I really appreciated her for that attention and care. The interior of the restaurant is very modern and sleek. The music on a Saturday night was cool & sexy with R&B at its core. All in all, I am very much so looking forward to visiting again soon for brunch and dinner as I was told some of their menu items are seasonal, like the coconut shrimp. Visited on Valentines Day with my twin sister. We had a reservation set and when we arrived we were sat right away but did not have any silverware or napkins provided, once we got our first appetizer we had to wait 5-10 minutes to get somebody to get us some silverware. We ordered the rib eye and filet mignon and both were fantastic! We finished the meal with the warm butter cake but were disappointed when the inside of the cake was raw. I asked the server about it and he said that's what it's supposed to be. I bake a lot and the description of the dessert did not say it had any sort of jelly filling, it was just a butter cake with raspberries and ice cream. This was my first time to The Cut after hearing positive things from several friends and I was not disappointed! A friend of mine and I met for an early dinner and were able to get seated right it away. The staff were very friendly and checked on us regularly throughout our time there. The dining area is a little small, so you should definitely plan ahead if you're going to be eating there during peak hours. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and I appreciated that the breading was not too heavy. The dipping sauce was exceptional and I hope they use it on other items on the menu! I ordered the scallops and my friend ordered the salmon. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and I absolutely loved the polenta that was paired with the scallops. I ordered a pineapple passionfruit mule mocktail which was very light and refreshing as well! I will definitely be stopping by again in the future! Made a stop here for lunch on our way from OC to Big Bear, and it was a great experience! Parking was not hard - though I was initially confused by the mention of the metered spots nearby, leading me to think that free parking was far off. I ended up parking in a structure (for free), and walked all of 2-3 minutes to The Cut. The food tasted great, I loved my truffle and Brie burger with sweet potato fries. Hubs and Dad both got the Reuben, one with fries and the other with the petite salad. The salad was amazing! Mixed berries and pecan and cheese and greens, yum. Mom got the wings with honey Sriracha. She expected it to have a bit more of a kick (and it didn't) but it was still good. Kids loved their cheeseburger and mac'n' cheese (with seashell), with lemonade and ice cream to finish their course. What I loved most about our experience was the service - though we were a party of 7 sitting outside, I felt that we were well taken care of (thanks Olivia R.!). Plenty of water, sauce, lemonade refills, and offered to clear plates off the table. This is my new favorite place for sure~ It was my first time going to this place today which so happened to be my birthday. The ambiance was good and we were greeted upon walking in. Then as soon as we sat down we were greeted by the bartender Piero, and some water. He gave us the drink menu but still offered the food menu. He made conversation with us and congratulated me multiple times. A while after we got our drinks Piero came over with a dessert saying it's complimentary for my birthday which was super nice of them and really made my day. I really wanted to like this place and it did not live up to the hype. The service we got was very pushy and tried very hard to upsell. The menu stated they politely declined changes- but what they really meant was nothing- not even how you wanted your burger cooked- was allowed. The burger comes medium, and if you don't like, oh well. We also got the bone marrow- and my fiend is unable to eat the sourdough that comes with it so I asked if we could purchase either tater tots or crostini's to be added and the answer was no. Now for the actual food quality. My friend got the house burger which was $40 and she enjoyed it, but said she's had burgers just as good, not for $40 bucks. I got the scallops, which we went on a Thursday night so maybe I should have thought of it; but it wasn't the freshest and it definitely sent me to the bathroom immediately. They did not have a cocktail menu during soft opening but offered a well cocktail or pint of beer on the house during the soft opening. Their menu was quite extensive. We ordered the salmon tataki, it was our least favorite. It was tasty but a bit fishy. Bahn mi was good, but a bit overpriced for the quality and quantity of meat to veggies to bread ratio. We got regular fries well done, and those were very tasty. The osso buco was our favorite. The price was decent, and the flavor was amazing. The turnips, sweet potato mash, and mushrooms all married well together. Beet salad came out last because the waitress forgot it, but they gave it to us on the house. It was well balanced and so delicious. We had a margarita that was also well made. Overall, the price point was a bit steep, depending on what you order. There are glass doors that partition the indoor and outdoor seating so plenty of natural sunlight fills the inside of the restaurant. They have a full bar and the food is delicious. The food here is 10/10 as is the service. My husband and I have been here 3x and gotten a different meal each time, but every time it has been fresh and delicious. The Cali Water drink was so good, which makes it so dangerous. Bone marrow toast is recommended. We also had wings. Burger and fries, you can't go wrong. Got the Truffle and Brie. The Sticky Date Pudding was so yummy but was so full by this time! Service and staff were amazing! Very attentive! Lovely ambiance! Overall, I would say wonderful! Excellent food and people! Only tip for them is to let us know about the extra charges for certain toppings when they ask if we want 'so and so.' So we aren't surprised to see it when the bill comes. My son and I have come here a few times after his soccer practice to enjoy a late breakfast/brunch. Today, our server was Casey, and she truly goes above and beyond in customer service !! So sweet, friendly, and observant ! Today, I ordered the chilaquiles, but the description said "fried egg," so I didn't realize it would be a runny egg. I didn't want to say anything once I saw it, so I cut off the whites to eat and left the middle on a separate plate. Casey noticed when she came over and asked if they made the egg wrong, but I told her that I didn't realize it would be runny and she asked what kind of egg I like to have a new one made. I really wasn't going to say anything, but I love that she noticed ! So far, everything we have tried has been amazing. The pancakes, French toast, the "cut-intental," and chilaquiles. My husband also loves the chicken and waffles. We are obsessed with the smashed breakfast potatoes, so highly recommend those as a side if they're not a part of your dish. We need to visit for lunch or dinner, because the rest of the menu looks just as good !
