The host brought us water and we ended up talking to the manager. We came here for "The Cut" burger. After ordering we were told they just ran out. Part of me wonders if they would've taken her order sooner would we have actually gotten what we came here for. We ended up ordering a sweet and spicy, truffle and brie, and the OG burger along with a poutine appetizer. We also got a pancake old-fashioned and a Love Yours take off my shoe cocktail, which both were really good. The place is relatively small and kind of loud. Cute Vibey place. I have been to the cut before but at their other location where its served more as a fast dining experience. I like this location a lot. They have nice outdoor patio seating as well as moody indoor seating. They offer yummy food and drinks. We arrived on a Saturday night and were seated right away. Prices are a bit high, but you are paying for a good quality craft burger. I ordered the Truffle and Brie burger and it was to die for. The first bite was just a bunch of exploding flavors in your mouth. Towards the end of the burger you get used to the taste and it tastes the same. We got the salmon app, it was ok. I would get something else next time but it was a good balance with our heavy mean. The tots were goooood. Sweet potato fries were ok. I want to come back next time and try their brunch! Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here! He really loved his food and drinks, he got the short rib and i had a bite and it was delicious. I'm a steak frites enjoyer so i got that and it was good but i've had better steak frites but still good. Since it's located at a mall, parking was plentiful. There was no wait on a Thursday night, which was perfect. Our waiter was super attentive and even recommended the tots over fries--a great call! We shared the Poutine fries for the table, and they were delicious! We asked for the chimichurri sauce on the side since it's usually drenched in it. I recently stopped by The Cut for the second time. Loved our first time there, but the second was even better. I had my dog, and he was offered water and a puppy patty which he very much enjoyed. The human menu is even better and the apps and entree were amazing. I especially love their cocktail menu-- their spritz and blueberry old fashioned are reason enough to drop by. We first ordered the whipped burrata... it was delicious. We were a little disappointed at first because we drove here because we heard the beet salad was amazing but we were informed they change their menu often and it wasn't on the menu... so i ordered the cut house salad.. and we also ordered the ceasar salad with grilled chicken. I absolutely loved the cut salad ... and the chicken from the ceasar salad was nicely cooked and juicy... didn't care for the ceasar salad as much as the cut salad. We will definitely enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to returning and trying more food. The customer service was welcoming. The only reason I am scoring a 4 is not due to the food the food is a 5 but the ladies bathroom was messy and one stall was broken and the trash was overflowing. The Ruben was recommended by the amazing server and I was told it would not be fatty and that it's "more lean" compared to most places. Unfortunately that was not the case. Amazing food and drinks! Came here for my girlfriend's 30th birthday and we had delicious dishes. We started with the crispy calamari and shishito peppers then moved on to our main courses. I just found out yesterday from my sister about The Cut - Rancho Cucamonga's soft opening and we came out to try their Weekend Brunch Menu this Sunday morning. We are fans of The Cut burgers in Irvine and so we had to give them a try. LOCATION The Cut is located in the Victoria Gardens shopping center across from H&M - near the Nike and Lululemon corner stores. PARKING There are plenty of parking around Victoria Gardens but will require some walking. There are metered, street/store-front, and free parking throughout this shopping center. INTERIOR / AMBIANCE I love the simple design here but I especially like the open space. The high-vaulted ceiling creates a bigger space for what would be a small restaurant. The floor space seems bigger here than the Irvine location. I like that this restaurant is positioned so as not to get direct sunlight but still have a lot of natural light coming in. This is a definite plus in my book! SEATING They have indoor and outdoor (patio) dining available and the hostess gave us the option of where we preferred to to sit. They have tables that can easily connect to accommodate 2 guests or more and they also have booths along the perimeter of the restaurant. FOOD / DRINKS Prior to my arrival, I had my heart set on ordering one of their beloved burgers. However, after discovering that they had a complete different menu (with a few of the classic items from the Irvine location), I knew I had to try something different. We were offered their Weekend Brunch Menu and here's what we ordered: * Chicken & Waffles - Excellent! The chicken breast was perfectly breaded and crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside. It came with a side of maple syrup but had a stickier sauce reminiscent of a sticky toffee/caramel-like texture. * Truffle & Brie Burger - Just like The Cut - Irvine location's classic burger, this was was unctuous and rich, and full of umami. * Black Truffle Mac & Cheese - Get it! It's so good! We shared this and we all cleaned up the little cast iron it came in! Haha * Chocolate Chip Pancakes - This was a bit pricey for 2 pancakes; however, it tasted a bite and it was actually surprisingly good! * Sweet & Spicy Burger - I didn't get a picture of this but my brother-in-law enjoyed the burger! * Garlic Confit Hand-Cut Fries - We love a lot of garlic and this delivered! * Mimosa - Free cocktail during Soft Opening! I've been to the Cut twice now. Great customer service every time and GREAT drinks. It's hard to find a good whiskey sour: the ones I've had here hit the spot. The last time I came I ordered a burger with a salad. Both were delicious. The salad was a little over dressed but still tasty. I was not too fond of how things were served. The salad in a tiny container to put on the plate. It's a salad, please put it on the plate and make it a little generous. That annoyed me a bit. The first time we went, I ordered the beet salad. I think I have high expectations for beet salads thanks to an amazing one I had in LA (oh hi girl and the goat). My issue with the one from here is that the beets were not dressed with anything that gave it a punch. I just tasted like beets. I like that they advertised ethically raised meats, that's important to me. I would change a few things here and there but overall, it's a solid place with quality ingredients. Get the whiskey sour! My boyfriend and I have had the pleasure of frequenting the Irvine location since 2019 and we fell absolutely in love with it naming it the best burgers we've ever had. When we saw the sign on the door that they'd be opening at the old Blaze location in VG which is right across the street from home, we were over-the-top SUPER excited! I've had 3 solid visits already within their first week of opening. Since their soft opening started on 10/12, we visited them for dinner time on that day expecting a whole lot. The large doors opened up to a beautifully modernized atmosphere with everything very open, bright and inviting. The whole room appeared to be very clean with a bar top and a lot of tables for dining. They also have 2 patios where these large window doors open up to from the inside. We ordered our usuals which is the Savory burger for him and Truffle & Brie for me. We both ordered a medium patty, but mine was a little more medium well and just ever so slightly a little tougher to chew. The brie cheese wasn't overflowing and melting out of my burger like it usually does over there, which I actually love, because it just makes everything melt in my mouth even more making it taste really savory. Overall, the truffle & brie burger was still nonetheless delicious and is my absolute favorite go-to burger. Reading the description of "Truffle Aioli, Brie Cheese, Pickled Onions, Honey" just makes me want to choose is EVERY single time! My bf's Savory burger includes "Bacon Relish, Swiss Cheese, Aioli, 3000 Island Sauce" and he said it was also delicious, but something just tasted a bit off like the patty not having enough seasoning, but the overall flavor and burger was still pretty dang good. He chose regular fries as his side and I picked the sweet potato fries. They were semi crispy and lightly salted. Sweet potato fries were just ok because some of the middles of the fries were still firm like they just weren't cooked all the way through. We ordered the Black Truffle Mac & Cheese side which comes in a little skillet with shells as the pasta. It was super creamy and flavorful! We visited again 3 days later for brunch along with my 2 cousins. The in-law and I ordered the ube pancakes, my cousin ordered the breakfast burrito and my bf ordered the chicken and waffle. My cousin-in-law loooved the pancakes. I, on the other hand, felt like they were also just "okay" due to the pandan cream cheese icing tasting a little overbearing while halfway through. The pancakes themselves were yummy and I could taste the hint of ube, but it was just getting completely masked by a cream cheese taste rather than a pandan taste. My cousin said he'd give the breakfast burrito a 5/10. It wasn't stuffed enough for him stating it felt like he was "eating more tortilla" than the actual fillings. I also do like my breakfast burritos to be really fat lol. It came with a side of 6 crispy smashed potatoes which he did say were pretty good. My bf said that the chicken and waffle was good giving it a 7/10. He ended up wanting to just finish the waffle already and eat the chicken last because it was his favorite part. It was perfectly crispy & juicy. I brought my mom here for my 3rd visit during their happy hour. We ordered the poutine, fried burrata and coconut shrimp from the happy hour menu. All the appetizers were so mouthwatering that we just kept eating it straight thru. The chimichurri is my favorite touch to their take on poutine fries. The brisket in it was also really tender and full of flavor. The crostinis with the fried burrata were a little thickly sliced in our opinion and wished they were just a little thinner. The burrata wasn't extremely hot when it came so when we went to dip/scoop it with the crostini, it was becoming a little rubbery from cooling down. My mom had originally ordered the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, but it wasn't up her alley when it arrived. She claimed that the chicken was too salty, but that's mainly because she has to have a low sodium diet anyway. I tried a piece and it was so hot, fresh and really juicy that I would've eaten more of it lol but she sent it back and chose the coconut shrimp as her main dish instead since she got fairly full from the other 2 appetizers. She loved the shrimp with the mango relish and sweet chili aioli sauce. She requested for it to be cooked "low sodium" so they actually made it without salt and gave a little cup of salt on the side if she needed it for seasoning which was great. My Bahn Mi sandwich was very appetizing esp with the hangar steak tender and full of flavor. Careful with the jalapenos if you don't like spice. We met and chatted with the overall manager, Steve, during every visit since he made sure to check in with every table to see how everything's going. Very nice and personable guy. We came during its soft opening. Based in Victoria Gardens, we were attracted by its ambience while walking by. It has both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar area. Parking is easy as there's plenty of parking garages as well as parking lots and street parking. All the appetizers on the menu sounded delicious and we went with the bone marrow toast. While it tasted like most others we've had, the toast with the caramelized onions and the pickled onions added a different taste combination which was pleasant. My wife got the banh mi, which had excellent meat and good amount of vegetables. I got The Cut burger, which is their 60-day dry aged rib eye patty with 2-year aged white cheddar. This I would definitely say was the star of the meal. Not only could you taste the meat quality, but also the juiciness of the burger was apparent. And yet, I think the best part of the burger might have been the white cheddar. Not only did the cheese enhance the funk of the dry aged burger but if you're lucky you also got a little bit of the cheese lace from the flat top. It's not cheap ($40) but well worth its price. We ended our meal with a delightful sticky date pudding, which was not too sweet and was quite delicious. They do not have their liqueur license yet but given the quality of their mocktails I have a feeling their drinks are going to be high quality.
