I don't have much to add to my prior reviews of The Daisy, so I'll keep it brief. I simply need to reiterate that the cuisine, service and setting are all exceptional and worth repeat visits during every trip to Santa Barbara. The Farm Grain Bowl is a clinic in roasting vegetables and is gorgeous before you've even taken a bite. Go here!

A must in Santa Barbara. We came here for a bachelorette and wanted something chill and fresh. The food was absolutely incredible, unique and good portions. The vibes were immaculate. Daisy herself took our plates when we were done and gave us local honey and dates to go! I'm sad I don't live here - I would be a regular.

The food is so good I went twice during my visit to Santa Barbara. Lunchtime: Office workers, ladies who lunch and groups of friends. Cozy atmosphere. Popular items are beautiful salads. There are various seating options: outside, inside (2 tables near the gourmet store), high table with bar stools, and a front patio area with heat lamps. Head to the counter to order. The nice, knowledgeable food runners will bring your food to your table. I chose the Mezze Plate for lunch, which comes with grilled flatbread. All the dips are great and flavorful, and I especially loved the labneh. The grilled flatbread has a soft texture; I wish it were sold as a to-go item, unless I missed it. Check out the great store with a variety of olive oils, chocolate and crackers etc. near the counter, with some of The Daisy's menu items in the refrigerated case. The house made desserts at the counter are great. Dinnertime: Date night, solo diners, groups of friends. Subdued lighting. There are evening plates offered, and the all day plates too. I chose the cauliflower and pea fritters, which are delicious. The combination of salad and tsatziki is refreshing. The lettuce tasted as if just picked from the garden. Everything is delicious here, and with a large menu, and many vegetarian options, everyone could find something they like. Stop by when you're in the area!

The service here is beautiful, just like the decor. It's very modern minimal and natural which I appreciate the Mediterranean menu has so many officially appealing and tasty options. The vegetarian hummus plate and mezze plate were excellent. The olive oil cake is amazing if you have room for dessert.

I can't believe this was the first time I've ever dined here! I was never interested in their day items since it involved a lot of chickpea and vegetarian options, but boy, their dinner selection made my mouth drool. I was truly blown away by their dinner plates. I wanted to try their smoked chicken and golden chicken, but their meatballs were calling my name. I loved how the pine nuts were whole in the meatballs. The fish plate was equally incredible. I love how they all had a smokey flavor but in 3 different preparations. I eat a lot of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food in Glendale and this did NOT disappoint. In fact, it made me really proud. I'm hoping they can add these items to the day options because I'd be coming in a lot more!

OMG!! This place is AMAZING. I ordered the beet sandwich but made it into a salad. It was so refreshing and all the vegetables were extremely fresh. The fries were also some of my faves. The staff is always really sweet too! I love that you can order at the counter and then relax either outside or indoors.

Great vegan options! The lemony chickpea sandwich was really good. The restaurant was busy but not too crowded during a weekday lunch. The vibe was cute and modern, staff were nice and attentive too!

The moment you enter, the restaurants interior is beautiful, clean and open. The staff is very polite and quick to serve. The only con about the place was ordering at the counter took a while as line got long and if people sample the wines, it takes even longer. But if there was both registers operating, it could be convenient to pay up front and not wait for the check. But you would have to tip in advance. Interesting order system. The food overall was fantastic. Both chicken dishes were incredible. Very flavorful and juicy. The ribs had a nice flavor and the slaw was a nice touch. Hummus was fantastic and is worth getting as a side.

Cute spot located in the theatre district come for the people watching stay for the food. The service was prompt, friendly and attentive. You make your order at the register and they bring the food to you or sit at the bar and order. They also have a mini shop area to get some provisions. The smoked brisket Bahn mi is a sandwich that has so much flavor in it, it's a party in your mouth. The brisket is juicy and tender basically melts in your mouth. Be ware that the dressing can be a bit spicy. You can also order the sandwich as a salad as well. Extremely filling. The fries are good to share with the group. Did I mention that they have wine on tap?

Cool vibe, a little louder inside if it's busy. Great outdoor seating options as well as indoor. We had a larger group so we reserved a table inside. You order drinks and food at the counter and then food is brought to your table. Order a few different plates to share! With the exception of the lamb & beef kofta meatballs (a little dry and disappointing) everyone really enjoyed their food. The cauliflower and pea shoot fritters were outstanding and the falafel was excellent. The chicken was very good - loved the zhoug and tomatillo sauces!!

JJ was our server and he did a great job of moderating how much we ordered and bringing out the plates in good combinations. All the plates are to be shared and our party of 4 enjoyed them all. We were seated outside. It was a nice, the sun only hitting 1 person for a few minutes before it moved far enough for us all to be in the shade. The menu served as sun protection for that time. Cantaloupe was ripe and the tajin and lime gave it a delicious new flavor profile. We overheard the table next to us raving about the heirloom tomato panzanella, so, we ordered it too. The ricotta made this dish. Totally understood what the other table was talking about and we were thankful to overhear them. The Lark's Classic Wedge was the best wedge I have ever had. Sure, I don't eat as many salads as I should but I can appreciate the difference between bacon and the crispy pork belly served here. The line caught crude was ahi. This came out first and we devoured it. The picture will tell you all the words I can't put together right now. New Orleans Shrimp Toast was the only "hot dish" we had. The included sausage was a little too spicy hot for the table. Not me, though! The jus was incredible. If I had another piece of brioche, I would have left the plate clean. Had the narrator as my cocktail. Sweet and sensational!

We had to get someone to check on "one" meal that was never brought for my daughter. The server came to the table to ask what happened? Yup you guessed it took him forever to return to tell us that oops the kitchen was slammed and either they forgot to make the order or faced it to another table seriously who says that? The manager came to the table to apologize and said oh I'm sorry about that I'll take it off your tab. WTH that is the least you should do. Well let me comp you with some desserts, no thanks. It took them over 20 minutes to provide us with the bill. This was the worst experience I've ever had, management did not handle the situation properly. Also, this is my FIRST negative review ever. But I just had to vent because this really made me angry especially on a night when we were out to celebrate my husband's birthday with the family. Definitely will not be able to recommence as my experience was not a positive one. Ambiance was nice, I just think it was over crowded and not enough servers to handle the Sunday crowd!!!! The decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you've stepped into New Orleans--murals, Mardi Gras themed items, and cards on the ceiling! I was so excited that they bring out complimentary mini muffins! They are SO good! They have a few different flavors like banana nut, jalapeno corn, a rosemary one, etc. Definitely a highlight! For appetizers, we ordered the Cajun Popcorn and the Soft Shell Crab. I haven't had a lot of crawfish before, so I really wanted to try the Cajun Popcorn. These crawfish tails are dipper in cornbread buttermilk batter and fried. They're crispy and fun to eat! They give a sherry wine dipping sauce, which was also yummy! Would recommend getting these! We also wanted to try the Soft Shell Crab, and you can get it as an appetizer or an entree. The appetizer comes with one soft shell crab that's been stuffed with Bienville crabmeat dressing, coated the cornmeal flour, and flash fried. It has just the right amount of crispiness! It's served with a jalapeno beurre-blanc and rice. For our entree, we shared the Crawfish Pasta Lafitte. We couldn't get enough of the crawfish tails so decided to get the pasta that had them as well. The pasta also had caramelized onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cream, and creole seasoning. Very tasty! Would recommend this pasta! For the fun part that I mentioned--they have a magician that walks around and does magic tricks at each table! It was entertaining and very cool to see some of the tricks up close! They also have a Sing-Along moment in the evening where they'll had out lyric sheets to everyone, turn on the music, and everyone sings the song together. They were playing "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong on the evening I was there, but the song changes and they ask you not to open the lyrics book until right before the song, so it's a surprise!

**An Unforgettable Anniversary at Barbareno!**…read more Wow, what a night! My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Barbareno, and it was nothing short of spectacular. He had reserved a table weeks in advance, and even though we ran a few minutes late due to the fiesta madness and Uber challenges, the staff was incredibly kind and understanding. Seriously, they turned what could have been a stressful situation into a smooth entry! Our server, Sierra, was an absolute gem--probably the best server I've encountered in ages! She kicked off the evening by walking us through the menu and setting the tone for our culinary adventure. Talk about being in good hands! To toast our special day, she even surprised us with complimentary champagne. Cheers to that! Now, let's dive into the food! We started with the **bread and butter**--trust me, don't skip it! Next up was the **bacon date preserve**, which was nothing short of incredible. Then came the acorn tagliatelle, made with wild mushrooms and acorn flour. I've never tasted anything quite like it! Unique and delicious! But the real star of the show was the **Santa Maria barbecue tri-tip**. Juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor--it's hands down the best tri-tip I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about it! To wrap up our meal, we indulged in the **dessert wine flight**--a must for anyone visiting! Each sip was a delightful surprise, and we finished with the **avocado mousse**, a light and unique dessert that felt like a perfect ending after a rich meal. As a dessert lover, I was thrilled to find something so indulgent yet refreshing! As if the evening couldn't get any better, the chef himself came to our table to check in. He was humble and genuinely cared about the experience he was providing. It's no wonder Barbareno is Michelin-rated! We can't wait to come back and bring the kids next time.
