The view cannot be beat. It's a lovely restaurant with an ocean view. The breeze was great so we were not too hot sitting outside. I went here to order takeout and the young girl at the bar takes my credit card and says I applied to 15% tip to your order and I thought what? I didn't say anything but the more I thought about it I think it's unethical that they would do this without telling you before you ordered. Warning, I guess the owner of this restaurant doesn't pay their employees enough to work there so they have to without warning to give themselves a 15% tip for a takeout order. No service was given other than handing me the bag by the way, we ended up throwing all the food away because the soup was way too fishy smelling and tasting, and the fried shrimp was just bland. read more

Right along the beach, so decided to check it out since we were hungry. Ordered the tacos with tempeh and my friend got the fresh shrimp. My tacos were okay, but not a lot of flavor. My friend's fried shrimp was also just okay. He felt like it could have been a bit more battered. We also got frozen margaritas - but it was a bit more liquified than we anticipated and didn't taste that good. However, our waitress was personable and attentive, so nice staff. The restaurant is in a decent location. Not right on the water but close enough you can see it. However the service was terrible. I ordered a fish basket that came with slaw and tartar sauce as well as a coke. I did not even get one refill on the coke. They never brought out the slaw and I had to ask two people for my sauce. By the time I got it 20 minutes later my food was already cold. The waitress was nowhere to be found the entire time. Then for the privilege of eating in this fine establishment it was $79 bucks plus tip. To be fair, it seemed like other people were happy with their experience. The view and the friendly staff easily deserve 5 stars. The food, however, gets 3 stars. It was underwhelming, to say the least. I was disappointed and wished we had chosen a fresher seafood spot. While the presentation looked promising, the taste didn't live up to it. Portions were generous, and the service was quick, but with only four people in the restaurant. The coconut shrimp did not have any taste to it, and the grouper lacked freshness, though the sauce was flavorful. The vegetables were lackluster as well. Oddly enough, the fries were the standout--they were amazing! Finding the restaurant was a bit tricky. The sign wasn't lit at night, and since it's located inside a resort, you'll need to park and walk to get there, which can be confusing. read more

The food and the views from the deck are on point here! Great menu to choose from for everyone who's feeling something American, or seafood, or sandwiches. My friends really loved the peel and eat shrimp. They were really impressed with the flavor of butter and Tabasco sauce the shrimp had. My poke bowl tasted good. I liked how everything in it came together with the soy sauce it was served with. It was a very simple kind of poke bowl. It's not like an item you would order off of a poke bowl menu with a variety of sauces and other ingredients at a poke place. The nori was thawed at the right temperature and I liked how thinly sliced the fresh jalapeños were, for just a little bit of spice. I was also pleased with how small the plate was when it came out. It looked bigger in the photos I saw of it than it actually is. Everyone is right about the views. Come here at just before sunset and it is beautiful to see over the horizon. They have a long dock that goes out to the beach from the porch too. Our server was very nice and pleasant to talk to. She was attentive, but not overly attentive. The decor inside is modern and clean. There is a really cool mural of an octopus on the wall as you walk in, which gives it that trendy vibe. read more

Wait time: Zero to none! Service: Our server unfortunately kept forgetting our drinks and additional condiments after asking multiple times. He was nice besides his flaws. He offered us good recommendations and sold their menu well. Food: The shrimp and piña colada was great! I would come again! Everything was also very affordable. Ambiance: One side of the restaurant faces the ocean, the other side a hotel pool. Luckily the hotel pool side was not terribly chaotic while we were eating dinner. A little hard to find as it's tucked away on the beach side of a hotel complex. But once you get there the restaurant is very comfortable with a nice beach view. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Great service. Had a couple local Tybee Island beers along with fried local shrimp and fries. The shrimp were very fresh and the breading was light so they were crispy while not being at all greasy or heavy. Both the tarter sauce and cocktail sauce were tasty. Great for dipping both the shrimp and fries. Solid place for a nice lunch at the beach. read more

This place is the best in Tybee Island. Great service, prices are reasonable, and the food... perfect. Food was on time, everything fresh and the sizes of each dish were perfect. I really liked we got the drinks in glassware. My favorite part was the dessert: not too sweet, good balance between the glazed bourbon roasted peaches, the whipped cream, the peach ice cream and a warm cornbread in the bottom of the cup. We came for lunch and sat on the patio outside. We were seated at a table partly in the sun so we asked to move to an empty table next to us. Our server said no because we apparently had to stay at a table in his section although there were many empty tables on the patio. He gave us only one other table option that was furthest away from the beach but fully shaded. Weird start to the meal! But, the salmon poke bowl was delicious as was the seasonal sangria. Nice restaurant in Tybee that has outside seating with good views. I had the fish tacos, which were very delicious and always get excited when they have an alternative to regular french fries, sweet potato fries! My husband had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and the seafood platter. They gave him tons of calamari! He said it was very good! for dessert we shared the peach cobbler, which is made with cornbread and was a very cool experience! It was absolutely delicious! Rolled into Tybee Island and headed straight to The Deck. We were greeted immediately by friendly staff and seated in a booth facing the beach - what a view! The Deck is perfect for a sunny day because it's located right on the beach. It was raining so unfortunately we sat inside which isn't as nice. I got the Fish of the Day which was a grouper. I loved the fish, grilled veggies, and rice. I just wish it wasn't covered in the "beurre blanc" because it's not a true beurre blanc. It almost certainly was a thinned out mayo which really detracted from the fish. Once I scraped it off, it was good. If I go back, I'd order without the sauce. read more

Cute beach bar with beach access and delicious New American fare. We wanted to find a restaurant where we can sit next to the beach and watch shore birds. The Deck was the only restaurant that was open at the time, so we went on a whim. Ambiance: Interior is what you'd expect for a beach bar. Both inside and patio seating with umbrellas and private beach access. It's on the property of a hotel and the main entrance was a bit hard to find. There were signs pointing to restaurant parking but that was also a bit confusing. Food: It's usually seafood or Southern comfort food in the area, but The Deck had some creative items. I had smoked tempeh tacos and my friend had chicken quesadilla. We both loved our entrees. The only thing I didn't enjoy was that the corn tortillas tore easily, so it was a delicious, but crumbly mess. Other perks: Our server Eli was a hoot! On the negative side, we both ordered fried dishes and what a disappointment! Over-breaded seafood obscured the deliciousness. I guess if you return to eat somewhere you'll find out if they are consistent or not. I was so disappointed this visit. We sat on the deck and got bit by ants. Ordered food that came out insanely fast... I think it was reheated from lunch, I'm not kidding. My fish tacos were cold and flavorless. The coconut rice was tasteless as well. The tacos used to come with Mahi, but when I asked this time what fish it was, they said something like cod. Who comes to the beach for cod tacos?! Disgusting. Now that I'm home, I feel very sick. My son's fried seafood platter was a clump of breading with little substance. It was expensive and poor quality. Tell Prince to get it together.
