I haven't written many reviews but I was so impressed today I figured I'd write one. First time at this restaurant and at this location. Other locations have higher Yelp ratings but this one had a reservation for 5 available the night before. We arrived early and they had a table for us immediately, despite being at capacity. Took a few minutes for our server to arrive but nothing excessive, especially considering how busy it was. Drink orders not only came out quick, but even soft drinks included a carafe for self-refills like the coffee. Sure, you could see this as "lazy" or something silly, but in a jam-packed restaurant it literally gave us all we needed for the meal without having to ask again. Food orders were taken patiently despite having two octogenarians in our party. Changes to orders were even patiently welcomed. Food came out quickly, hot, and accurately. It was well prepared and tasty to boot. As we were winding down our meal we noticed how much the crowd had thinned but that the waitstaff were still hustling about. I don't know how long the manager who was there has been at this, but we all marveled at how smoothly everything went. Courteous staff despite being slammed. Well-honored reservation. Fast service. My fav breakfast place. Portions are generous and delicious. I went with the huevos rancheros that came with lettuce, tomatoes, and hash browns. I couldn't finish my meal. Had to come back and update because, if you can believe it, this cafe style restaurant in the lowry neighborhood just keeps getting better. Mother's Day weekend, total cliche to do breakfast out. Guilty! But we arrived early enough and the wait was barely 5 minutes. Tables pretty much turned quickly and the service was great. It was hopping but not too noisy. Food was high quality and well done. We noticed what looked to be the manager or owner hustling and making sure tables were cleaned quickly between guests and that service stayed efficient. We've been here once and always forget it's near us, so we dined here this morning. You can either dine inside or on their patio. We sat down and paroozed their big menu and I decided on the Silican Frittata and substituted the Swiss cheese with cheddar and my husband got the western skillet. The frittata was baked perfectly and the size was big enough to fill me up, so I won't need to eat lunch today. The hashbrowns could been crispier, but all in all my breakfast was solid. My husband liked is skillet , but he did say next time he will get it, but with hashbrowns instead of the breakfast potatoes. Service was good and very friendly. read more

Let me preface with I love this Delectable Egg in my neighborhood and I'm kicking myself for not writing a great review for them in my numerous visits beforehand. With that being said, today's service was noticeable lacking keeping in mind my previous experience at this location. Now, the restaurant was VERY full today when I came in, but nothing extravagantly different from any other day. There was a wait for seating which I was more than happy to do but after the waitstaff received my order, it took the kitchen 30 minutes to deliver. I order the cornbeef hash and while my corn beef hash was nice and hot, the eggs and hashbrowns were already cold. I still love this location, but will probably go elsewhere when the restaurant is busy as the service declines when they are. read more

I started with a cup of coffee and they have a variety of creamers and the leave the carafe so you can enjoy all the coffee you want. Our server was Francine and she took great care of us. I came into The Delectable Egg for brunch; upon arriving, the place was packed, but they were still able to promptly seat me. My server shortly came by and took my order. Despite my order containing two side items and a special request, she memorized my order correctly. It took roughly 25 minutes for me to get my food - which is somewhat reasonable for a full restaurant serving diner style food. My only complaint is that my hash browns were cold, or at least not as warm as I had expected. Other than that, the food was good. I really like this as a kid friendly environment. The staff are ALWAYS nice and welcoming (including the managers). My daughter loves the kids French toast (decent size for a kid!). My meals have always been consistently good, but they're a bit standard fair. The menu is HUGE, for those looking to take family or friends out with multiple tastes this will work for you. I do think they're a little pricey for what's on the menu, but I pick the Delectable Egg in a pinch if I'm looking for a "kid happy" meal. read more

The food is always so good!! We usually go to one of the other locations, but this was our first time here. Service was decent and quick. The outside patio area is small but it works, and it was the perfect weather to sit outside even though it smelled so delicious inside! Ate too quick to get photos of the food but the local CO hot sauce they had was so delicious although not very spicy at all. TWO reasons for not giving 5 stars: 1. We didn't get the correct potatoes / hashbrowns with our Denver omelettes and when we brought it to the server's attention, he didn't even offer anything to make it right. He simply said 'oh, wow yeah they didn't get it right', sort of shrugged his shoulders and went right along to help another table. Stopped in before a busy trek to rocky mountain National Park. This reminds me of a place back home. The service was good and the food is full and plenty. I got the pb and frosted flake French toast with chorizo and egg on the side. The chorizo wasn't the best I had but the French toast was very delicious. Delectable Egg is in our neighborhood, so we thought we'd give it go after our Sunday workout. Naturally, we were hungry but not hangry...yet. After our experience today we more than likely not going back for these reasons: 1) the staff is just not friendly, customer forward or happy. Maybe some training and team building should be done for happier employees which will inevitably bleed into how they treat their customers. To start, we didn't get acknowledged when we arrived, two associates were engaged in a conversation. Once they were done, one walked away and the other greeted us with zero enthusiasm/energy. 2) the staff is unorganized and taking it out on the customer. Big no no! We were seated outside, it was the first available. We were greeted by a server, she got our drink order and left. Another server greeted us about 10 minutes later. We let her know someone got our drink order. She got upset and started questioning us about who came by and got our order. She stated that we are her table. She left very annoyed. The other server came back with our coffee and asked for our order. We had to explain everything that just happened. She rolled her eyes and walked away annoyed! Then we saw no one for a good 15-20 minutes and we still have not put an order in. We finally ordered and it took 35 minutes to get our breakfast. Now we are hangry! 3) I ordered the crab cakes Benedict and my partner ordered the the Red Rooster with a side of French toast. Crabs cakes were soggy, very pronounced, and the hollandaise sauce was on the side, which is a bit odd for a Benedict. My partners eggs were definitely not three full eggs, as per the menu, bacon was...well...bacon...lol, and his French toast was just ok. Two stars for location and affordability but you get what you pay for I suppose. I think the staff needs to step it up, first and foremost, and remember they are creating the experience. And if you can't produce specialities, such as crab cakes, remove it from your menu. Stick to your actual specialties, if you have them :) read more

We had a great time at Delectable Egg. We usually go to the downtown location but were in Parkhill and wanted to get some food. There was an insane line and it was great being able to check in via yelp. We were able to get seated, order, and our food came right away. I had the burrito which was super tasty. My partner had the biscuits and gravy which was okay. The biscuits were not up to his Black southern mother cooking but the meal overall was good. We stumbled in on a Saturday afternoon and was quickly seated. Inside is a comfortable modern vibe with a lot of bright natural light. The menu is huge but not overwhelming. Everything sounded good so we got 3 entrees. Fiesta skillet: the chili was a little much but the taste was great. Some places don't care about the side toast however the sourdough toast was perfectly crusty. Pancake: they don't have chocolate chip pancakes on the menu but when we kindly asked, they were able to whip up some for us! Breakfast quesadilla: combo of an omelette in a quesadilla. All very filling with generous portions. When you check in, you get a free coffee which they leave you with the pot so it's basically bottomless. Seeking a brunch spot in Lowry, I decided to give The Delectable Egg a try. Craving something a little different - I chose to nosh on the Crab Cake Benedict. It was alright. Though it lacked flavor, in my opinion, and arrived cold. Perhaps I just wasn't craving something so different after all. The menu does feature a wide variety of both savory and sweet brunch fare. There's no boozy brunch beverages here. So I opted for a glass of orange juice to accompany my meal. They do offer a small variety of espresso beverages and coffee too! My server was as attentive as needed, but really nothing about my experience stood out. It felt like service was quite slow even though there very few guests during my weekday visit. I'm glad I didn't come on a weekend when they are significantly busier. The decor was a bit bland. It gave off an outdated diner feel. Not really the place you go to for ambiance if you ask me. It was an alright little brunch spot. I wanted to try some place new to eat; i am glad I picked this place. During covid 19, they are practicing safety measures and providing quality service. They offer indoor seating as well as patio setting on 3 sides of the building outside. The food was served warm and was flavorful. The menu was easy to read. They offer a variety of foods. As a picker eater, I often request substitutions, eliminations for the meals I order. I was able to select from the menu as is. I was definitely satisfied and left feeling full. Good service. Excellent food! Great experience overall! If you leave hungry, something's wrong. We went on a Saturday morning at approximately 9:45am, and we were immediately sat. Our waitress (unfortunately, I did not get her name), was great. They have a vast menu, so it took us a moment to look over. Our waitress was patient and offered ideas of some of her favorites. She was helpful. We ended up ordering the Green Chili and Chorizo Benedict and the California Benedict (see pictures). While the California Benedict was hot, fresh and good, I felt the Green Chili and Chorizo Benedict out-flavored it. If you like a bit of a kick, go with the Green Chili Benedict. Our waitress also recommended the Blueberry Pancake as a side to share. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture, but it was two small stake pancakes that despite them being slightly heavy, they were tasty. We also saw a Belgium Waffle being delivered to another table and that looked excellent. We will order that next time. We ended up waiting for our food for approximately 15 minutes, so it wasn't too bad. We noticed the restaurant began getting busier around 10:15am and there was a wait. Lack of staff and cooks wasted about 75 minutes of my life. We waited for the table for 30 minutes, but that didn't allow us to eat. I had a solo breakfast over the weekend and even having had an issue during my visit, I've got nothing but praise to give. Let's start with the aspen alley skillet (a vegetarian option). It was so insanely delicious. What comes in it is broccoli, tomatoes, MUSHROOMS, peppers, and potatoes. All that goodness and I added corned beef to it... effing fire. On the side I had blueberry pancakes.. they come with a warm blueberry sauce plus syrup. Did I mention this restaurant serves your own small pitcher of coffee with breakfast? Love. The delectable egg brings out the glee of the child within me who grew up loving breakfast at all hours of the day.
