Baked French toast for brunch. Pure deliciousness.
    Adriana F.

My husband and I have long been meaning to go to brunch at the Delmonico Room. This weekend, we finally made the drive over from New Jersey to Milford. My husband chose the burger and was a little let down when he was told by our waiter that they were out of American cheese (as a topping). He decided at that point to just go without any cheese. My disappointment came in my cup of coffee. It was very dark, and almost tasted like it had been burnt. I did notice a fellow diner had ordered a pot of French press coffee. I wondered if her coffee was any better than the single cup of coffee that I ordered. Also, the French press coffee pot is not listed anywhere on their menu. Where my coffee was lacking, my main order of baked French toast certainly made up for it. Two delicious baked brioche buns made into French toast and accompanied with sweet chantilly cream and blueberry compote. I enjoyed every sweet bite of my French toast, and would certainly recommend it. We sadly did not have any room for dessert, but certainly look forward to trying Bar Louis for dinner in the near future.

Amazing food, they have these crunchy potatoes, I forget what they're called but you better believe I'll be back at the inn a couple more nights just to enjoy the food again

This place is beautiful. Looks like a beautiful home on an enchanted street. Walking in to very friendly greeters and amazing staff of waiters and host didn't even come close to how wonderful the food was. Absolutely delicious. Our waitress Faith, was hardworking, sweet, funny and knowledgeable. She recommended the fish that our part of 6 will never forget... the duck crepes. Fantastic! Drinks were good and lamps chops were too die for. Plus the picture on the wall were just super cool! 10/10

Absolutely top-notch food and service. Wasn't expecting such a classy experience - definitely a rare gem in the area. The ambience is just beautiful and perfect, all of the details are attended to and the live piano music was a classic touch. I had the scallops and my husband had the short ribs, both were delicious and good portions. Cocktails were made expertly and pleasantly strong. We loved it so much we came back the next morning for brunch, which was also excellent. This place is worth making a special trip for!

Preface: I came here for a small afternoon wedding ceremony and reception. The Delmonico Room is located inside the Hotel Fauchere. The place smells clean. The atmosphere is gorgeous in a modern rustic way. The ceremony was done very well by the staff. The employees had a very lighthearted and nice yet professional manner about them. Afterwards we sat down for the reception. Laid out they had a cheese plate with these amazing chunks of Parmesan cheese and brie. I started with the salad which was delicious. It had apples and sweet balsamic dressing. My main course was the Short Rib dish. YUM, the flavors rocked. They added a lot of herbs and stuff on top. I believe there was an assortment of different style onions like red onion, chives, etc. This REALLY brought out the flavor. Now for the absolute best part...CAKE. They have an on staff pastry chef (I need to find out her information), but she made this absolutely delicious beyond words chocolate flour less cake with raspberry filling and whipped cream frosting. I rarely eat my entire cake portion let alone asking for another slice! Overall great time, atmosphere and location.

The open porch are is very nice. The traffic can be noisy

When the Mrs. spotted this place she noticed the dining area on the front porch. With a beautiful spring day upon us we stopped and are on the porch. Got there before he evening rush so we secured a spot overlooking Broad St. Nice views but once traffic came by it was a little noisy The ownership can't do anything about the traffic so let's talk about what they can control: the food and the service Neither of these were a disappointment. In fact u had the Salmon and it was unbelievable. Well prepared, amazing presentation, not too little to eat not a whole lot to eat. It was the right size portion and was a splendid meal. On to the service. Quite professional. Our waiter (can't remember his name) was very friendly and prompt. He didn't have any specials that night but yet later on we heard another server talk about the evenings specials. Don't know what happened there but who cares the meal we had was stunning.

The hummus was not far behind! And the pitas delicious, soft and fresh. My son is not much for trying new things, so he got a burger and fries. His plate was completely clean - he even tried the tzatziki and hummus appetizers which is a first for him. He said the fries tasted homemade and not frozen and he really liked them. My other son's quesadilla came with "jalapeño sauce"..... it was on the hot side, but good! I could only eat half of my platter, so I brought the rest home. The rice was simple, but good (cooked in chicken broth, and the chicken was delicious, and dipping it in the included tzatziki was an extra treat. Even included a stuffed grape leaf which I love! My husband loved his gyro! We are happy because we take 206 to go to the falls area when we feel like being outside, and aside from a couple of restaurants in Milford, and pizzerias, there's not much up there. This will definitely be our go to place. Next time I'll try to take pictures (I was hungry LOL). The owners seem nice, and it's a family run business, which we love. Don't be taken back by the simple decor and paper plates, this place is worth it. It's probably a little higher than other places in the area, but comparable to other Greek places that we have visited (in Morris or Bergen County).

If you don't want your entrées coming out with the appetizers, just give them a heads up, because the kitchen moves fast here. We started with the mushroom dish and a hearty soup...both full of flavor and the perfect start to the meal. Then came the star of the night: the lamb chops. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Everything we tried was fresh and satisfying, the kind of food that makes you want to go back the next day. The service was on point- Friendly and attentive, and the whole space has this quirky, cozy feel, like you're sitting in your grandma's living room with its mix of chairs and warm, homey vibe. What a cute little town and La Cigogne has all the things that make for a great dining experience. Serena was our server and was super helpful and attentive. The menu was loaded with so many great items...I will need to go back for more. We were a party of 3 and the whole restaurant was vibing as the World Cup was on the big screen TVs in the background. There are several big screen TVs around the restaurant and it was cool we could keep on top of the score. The mussels and the scrumptious broth it came with was very good and just a bit spicy. I had the chicken fricassee as my entree and my friends also had the duck special, which they loved. We also had a very nice fruit sorbet that looked and tasted very impressive. There's also a great view outside on the veranda of a beautiful lake. Glad we stayed inside that night. Not only was it super hot outside but it poured during dinner and we stayed nice and dry. Formerly located in Brooklyn, Damien brought the concept to Narrowsburg a couple of years ago. I've eaten here several times. Located in the basement level of 90 Main St in Narrowsburg, it arguably has some of the best views of the Big Eddy and Delaware River of any spot in Narrowsburg. When the weather is nice, an outdoor deck offers commanding views. Inside, the decor is a bit industrial with a nod to the Alsacian mountains. The space is all hard surfaces, primarily concrete, making it a very bright room from a sound standpoint. For this meal we sat that the bar by choice. Service was reasonably prompt and friendly. No specials were mentioned, and no substitutions or menu changes. I ordered the Pork schnitzel, my dining companion one of the spaetzle dishes. We started with tuna tartare. The tuna came out in a nice presentation which included an extra heavy "schmear" of avocado on top. The dish overall was so incredibly oversalted that it bordered on being unpleasant. The house made tortilla chips which were light and delicate, but again, so over salted they were bordering on inedible. The schnitzel came out and had been pounded out absolutely paper thin, and the breading was very dark brown. The side salad was mixed field greens instead of the stated arugula on the menu (no mention of a substitution). The Schnitzel was overcooked and, frankly, as dry as cardboard. Seemed like they are using a smaller pork portion and pounding it super thin to make it fit the plate to their spec. It also wasn't seasoned. At all. My dining companion's spaetzle was over cooked and mushy - almost disintegrating in the mouth. It's unfortunate because that dish looked incredibly promising on the menu. We added the asparagus appetizer (an odd appetizer offering, and not offered as a side dish), and it was good, cooked well, but again no seasoning. I added the leek mashed potatoes as my side. Again the theme of little to no seasoning raised it's head. The potatoes were cooked well, and the leek came through quite delicately, so it's unfortunate the kitchen didn't follow through. Overall - a lovely setting with fantastic views, and a great place for a glass of wine or a cocktail watching the sun set over the Delaware River. As a dinner destination, our latest experience is unfortunately consistent with past visits - a menu that promises great, somewhat simple dishes that fall flat on execution.
