What a cute little place. Took my mom and we both had chicken wraps. Nice sized portions and tastes great. The soup was a little bland but I think it's an older community and they probably don't want to go crazy with the seasoning. The service was good and we met the owner who you could tell really cares about her business and wants customers to be happy. We will go back when I visit again read more

Had a great breakfast here last Saturday morning. I ordered a cannoli waffle off of the specials menu, while the other person I was with ordered eggs with bacon and fried tomatoes. My waffle came out differently than I was expecting, but nonetheless tasted great. The waffle did look a bit bare on the plate, as it was just the waffle with cannoli cream on top. Could definitely use a bit more on plate presentation. We were very pleased with our meals though, and will be back. read more

Clean, friendly and plenty of room. It's a picture menu, but the food is authentic and delicious. Pastrami was lean, great rye bread. Panini' are popular... and just as described in the menu. Gyro and Greek salad was wonderful. Even the Cole slaw was good! Free refills. The town is adorable, and this is just off interstate 95. Railroad tracks down middle of town, with small stores, cafes and ice cream nearby. Water and bridge nearby. A great break for quick meal during a drive thru Jersey. read more

I had lunch at "The Diner" on Monday afternoon and ordered soup, hamburger and French fries. The diner is in a quaint town with a congenial wait staff. Service was fine but the burger was the usual " frozen hockey puck" and the fries were ---the usual. Why, doesn't a small diner distinguish itself by serving a fresh meat burger-not frozen, with different cheeses and a better quality fry???Well they lost this customer!!! The Diner on West Railroad Ave is Jamesburg's "gem". Every meal that I have ordered has been consistently very good and priced to please. The Diner is a nice cozy restaurant. My latest purchase was a big juicy burger made exactly the way I like it. I ordered by phone and less than 10 minutes later it was ready for pickup even though there was a lunchtime crowd. Saw the listing for The Diner, and thought it looked like it would be worth a try. Was it ever! A simple but high-quality Diner, in the tradition of the small town. I had a Spinach Omelet which was great - and the hash browns were just perfect. My husband had the Hot Turkey Sandwich, which was made with real (un-processed) turkey meat, and great stuffing & gravy that wasn't over-salted. The meal also included vegetables & desert. Yes, it was comfort food. But very GOOD comfort food, which always feels good! The pricing is also quite reasonable, especially the "senior" pricing, which includes the meal, beverage and dessert. Went there this morning for breakfast after finding it on Yelp. Not sure how long this establishment has been open but I wish I'd found it sooner! Especially since it's just a 10 min drive. They had a ton of specials that included juice and coffee for $9.50. I settled on corned beef hash with eggs toast and potatoes and the bf got eggs French toast bacon and potatoes. Both came out quickly and were much more than either of us could comfortably eat in one sitting. Was delicious and exactly what I was looking for. There was also someone coming around every so often and filling our coffees which was great! Servers were very friendly. This place is a keeper can't wait to come back and try more! read more

Just ate there for the first time on fathers day and expected it to be crowded which it was but was seated pretty quick . It is a quaint little place that seats 75 tops .The service was great and the food was excellent and a lot of it for the price . Breakfast for 4 was 35.00 plus tip . Stopped by on a rainy day with my elderly parents in the car both with ambulatory issues and asked for takeout menu. It was late afternoon and no one in the place. Woman said don't have one maybe next week. Only offered me handwritten specials. Asked if could bring a menu to car from the stack on the counter. Car was parked right out front and would have them pick something to order. Woman said no...what was I going to do to one of their precious menus??? Geez....needless to say walked out and will not be back even though have heard positive things about the place....guess they don't need the business. read more

I love The Diner! Bunny and her staff are wonderful. The food and service are great, the place is tidy- restroom is immaculate. Do try the Reuben. The breakfast sausage is always done to perfection. The menu is large so there is something for everybody. Desserts are always tops. read more

Really good diner located in the heart of Jamesburg. Just be prepared to step right into one of the busiest areas of the diner, should you arrive during peak hours. Though the employees were obviously aware of this, as they smile warmly and carefully walk around you. Service was very good, food was even better. Fresh fruit was actually fresh, as the strawberries and blueberries received were honestly the best that we have had all year. The light breakfast was terrific, and a great way to start the day. We will definitely come back. Finding close parking can be kind of tough. read more

Delicious. My family of 11 was traveling home from NYC to DC area & decided to try this diner. Everything was great & such a variety for our large group. I got the tilapia & shrimp special which came with soup salad and dessert. It was all yummy! My children got eggs, waffles, & pancakes-large portions! You must try this place!! read more
