We followed them from their previous location and hope to follow them if they reopen in another location. We wish the owners and staff well into the future. Unfortunately, the mall management did not renew their lease because it is closing to become another empty giant graveyard in the Town of Amherst, NY. The town is notorious for allowing developers destroy small business with no legitimate reason or near future plans other than to create humongous empty buildings.

We've been a fan of this venue for years. Remember the Nik Wallenda walk across Niagara Falls in 2012? Well we watched it live on the big screen after the showing of the Marilyn Monroe movie Niagara. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed in our overall experience. Each guest is given a sheet of paper where you can select 3 teas. The server didn't explain this was per person so we were confused thinking it was 3 per table. The biggest disappointment for us is that we were given tea bags, which in my opinion is not appropriate for an experience of afternoon tea and really cheapened the experience. As an avid tea drinker, I personally was expecting at least loose tea. We were given one hot tea pot for the table and had to constantly ask for refills until towards the end when the server gave us a second pot. It was a bit dangerous for us trying to pass one kettle around the table of four people as well. They also don't give you any iced water to drink on the side which was disappointing. In addition, no one came to clean out or change out your tea cup when you were moving on to drink the next tea. So I ended having a taste of earl grey in the chamomile tea. For the 3rd tea, I ended up dumping some of it out on my plate and wiping with my napkin. Eek! We did however, enjoy the food. They present you with a 3 tiered tray with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries and jam/butter. We all thought the finger sandwiches, scones and desserts were delicious. The sandwich were tasty, but a bit tiny and definitely needed more filling. Overall, I may come back for the food but I was disappointed in the use of tea bags and the inattentive service.

At the beginning of the night the actors walk around the audience and mingle with each table. They then ask different people if they will be willing to participate in the show. The guy I was with was asked if he would sing a line and other people learned choreographed dances and such. All of the actors were great! At the end of the night, you are asked to cast your vote on how the crime was committed, who did it, the weapon used and so forth. People who answered correctly were entered into a draw to win fun prizes. It was a great experience and I would definitely go back!

However new owners decided to buy it recently and have done such great things!!!. They have a full bar to purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks; as well as a popcorn and candy stand. The owners and staff that work there are very very nice and knowledgable about ROC history. What I liked most though of ROC cinema was the ambiance. Outside it looks like an old school cinema (which I find fun). However on the inside is all brand new and renovated. The theaters are different too. They are full service so you can order anything you like during the movie and it will be delivered to you all at decent prices unlike the other full service movie theaters. There are long counter type tables in every aisle and the large comfy computer chairs for your seating that are adjustable in any direction. Every 2 seats there is a table light to be on or off depending if you're eating out. Every night of the week they have special themed events as well too. I Plan on checking them out too! I highly recommend ROC Cinema.

It's an interesting take on a caprese, although I would have liked actual mozzarella pieces as well. What makes the dinner interesting is you need to pay attention to the dishes. For most, there's something included in it that helps you with the puzzle. The truffled mushroom cigar looks impressive; a thin crispy crepe filled with a mushroom mousse garnished with black sesame ash to really give it the full effect. It's too sweet for my taste but I get why it's needed in the context of the game. Diners have a choice of mains: beef, chicken, or falafels. We all opted for the braised beef, a decent portion served with silky garlic mashed potatoes, carrots, and green beans in a rich jus. Before the main, I was still hungry but given its sizeable portion it left me satisfied. The beef was nice and tender and quite good for a murder mystery. Before the dessert we're given a palette cleanser. How it comes and what it is, I'll keep secret and not spoil the game. We end with another mousse, this one a cheesecake topped with graham crumbs and a berry compote. It's good, but by this time I'm a bit tired of mousses, just give me something to chew on already! Who knows, maybe they thought their demographic would seniors with no teeth. Having been to several murder mystery dinners, I'd say this was the most enjoyable. The Perfect Bite is more than a show, they include puzzles with each course, which give you clues towards a larger puzzle. Ultimately, it creates a more entertaining and interactive experience and makes for great teamwork to get to the next course. Rest assured, they're not difficult puzzles and if you're stuck, "Frank" the bar manager comes around to steer you in the right direction. Without giving too much away, I also liked that there's a twist, and it culminates in the final puzzle where you can really sleuth by getting out of your seat and using other devices.

I made it a point to reach the venue early to make sure not to disrupt the performance by arriving late OR distract the performing artist by scrambling for a seat while the performance is in progress! The show starts 40 mins after the time mentioned on the ticket! I had a ticket that said 7:30 - the show started at 8:10. On asking the owner, he very rudely said - i am free to take mine and leave and that they never give any show timings - they only say - "gates open at"- trying to justify the delay and his impolite behaviour on a technicality! There is an additional cover charge of 25$ per person (over and above the tickets) which is not mentioned anywhere on the ticket pdf received during booking! Respect to the comedians but would prefer to see them somewhere else!

The food was pretty good and the service was paced not to interrupt the performance.
